 Tuna runs at the engineer, wildly swinging his weapon. Unfortunately, sprinting is not the most stable fighting stance, and the attack misses.

Cass is more successful with her lunging strike, and the very tip of her blade slips cleanly in and out of the engineer's back. He drops his wrench as he stumbles to a halt from his interrupted mad dash for safety.

CON save: 13

With his heavy  and bleeding injuries, he makes a few staggering steps to the door, flips open a panel. He mashes the red button inside and then collapses, dead from blood loss.

Instantly, a crackling voice booms through the ship:

Intruders have breached the engine room!

You hear a shuffle of feet in the rooms around you.

There are two mephitis in the room, Gianna is up.

“Birdie” laughs, “HA!” at the thought of more enemies coming. Surely his bandana and earrings will not let him down.

(If possible, he will move to flank his targets - not sure if either or both are blurred. Flanking would make the attacks straight rolls. Let me know if I need to add a disadvantaged roll should he not be able to obtain flanking positions.)

”Birdie” moves with a grace more commonly seen as a choreographed dance. He lashes out with his rapier, moving again if the first target “pops”.

...and pop it does, bursting in a cloud of steam, but not hitting anyone.

The final mephit exhales a burst of steam of its own in a 15-foot cone. DEX save 12 or take 9 Fire dmg.

The footsteps are getting louder.

Cass and Tuna are up.

she casts spiritual weapon and attacks the last mephit (assuming flanking)

a floating, curved glowing sword flashing with lightning attacks the mephit, as Cass lashes out with her own sword.

The final mephit bursts, dealing 2 fire damage. You are now out of combat, but the footsteps are growing closer, and will arrive in one minute. It is up to you to decide what to do.

“Argh we gots company comin!  Let’s rip that panel open and disable the ship, then make our stand here.  I’m healin some..”. Cass says 

She uses absorb elements to resist some of the fire damage, and then casts healing word on herself.  5 

she stands at the door guarding, but she will give a prayer of guidance (+1d4) to whomever is disabling the ship (pulling the crystal thingy) 

Gianna is not exactly a STR powerhouse. Surly there is somebody else?

“Birdie”, seeing the momentary hesitancy, boldly steps forward. Although he is more wiry than bulky, he re-sheathes his rapier and warns, “Back up, everyone.”

He then attempts to open the panel and remove the crystal.

 The panel wiggles a bit but does not open. The footsteps draw nearer.
