Røwan looks hard around the room, and finds all sorts of goodies.

Under the bed, he finds a chest of valuables, the contents of which can be determined later when it's time to split the loot.

The bookshelf is full of expensive-looking volumes and textbooks.

The sea chest contains five bottles of fine wine, a music box, and a silvered rapier.

The wardrobe contains seven sets of fine clothes.

The desk contains pens, ink, paper, and a box marked "Official Papers, Do Not Open".

OOC:

(cool!  Nice find.  For those new to the game- a silvered weapon is good for use against creatures with resistance to normal weapons.    (Like werewolves) They are expensive to make and nice to have- someone in the group who likes rapiers should keep)

 Cassandra smiles wide and says “Ahh nice work Rowan!  There’s a good crew!  Now let’s see what we’ve got in the box what says ‘do not open’.  Methinks it be like as not to have a trap or some surprise, but there might be a special way to open her up.  “.  She winks at the Earl and says “ye don’t mind if we open it up here do ye?”  She laughs. 

Getting a serious look on her face she says a few words (a prayer maybe?) Guidance cantrip) and then studies the box carefully.  She looks, listens, even smells it.

There are certainly no physical traps, but the box still emanates a strange aura.

Looking at the loot, Cassandra pulls out the silvered rapier and admires it, then hands it to Ceesh with a flourish..  “Me captain, you use one of these pointy blades don’t ye?   Methinks you could put this pretty silvery one to good use, eh?”   She puts the gold chain from the Earl into the party loot.

 The music box currently plays a little lullaby, but seems to be reprogrammable into any 30-second tune.

The Earl is quite wealthy, and his riches chest contains: 12 Platinum, 1395 GP, one Emerald, a signet ring, and some assorted gold and silver jewlery.
