"My name is Mydri. Nice to meet you, Zuri. Indeed, it is my first time here. In fact, this was my first real sail on a boat, other than a fishing boat a few times." The words flowed out naturally, but she wondered if they were true. Yes, she had a strong memory left of her father, taking her out to the sea on his fishing boat. A tear forms in Mydri's eyes, but she quickly wipes it as the food is served. "Actually-"she starts, but the Halfling has walked away already. Calling her an "adventurer" is quite an exaggeration. More like a refugee. Oh well, maybe she'll reward them with money, and Mydri needed it.
"It´s nice to meet you too Mydri." She says before her mouth starts watering at the stew now served before them. "Running a small errand doesn´t sound that bad. I wanted to look around the town anyway, what do you think?." She says and starts eating.
Gethin struggles along with his heavy bags and puts them down in the tavern with a sense of palpable relief
He turns to the nearest server "Can I have some food please, I found it hard to eat on that swaying ship. It did things to my stomach. Bread and soup perhaps?"
As he sits waiting for his meal he listens to the conversation with interest. A mystery to solve, that should be fun.
"Thanks for making room at the table. My name is Gethin, nice to meet you all"
G-g-host? How d'ye know? Aye There was a ghost. They think me an old drunk, but they weren't there. Y'know that old house west of Saltmarsh? Me be skulking there hoping to find me some gold or other treasures y'see, and out of a sudden a Ghost appeared and than another. It screamed and shouted promising to kill me. So I ran for me life as fast as I could. I am telling ye, ther must something in the house they are guardin', why else would they be here!
@ Gethin (Zuri, Mydri) ((Feel free to continue the RP as long as you want to, when you want to move forward, speak to Hanna about the errand))
Would you like a lobster stew like you compatriots? It will be 3 silver a bowl, and Ale is another 1 silver if you'd like? After a short while Hanna brings you your order. Enjoy the meal!
"Maybe, depends on what it is. Well, I didn't have any plans other than getting here, for now. Do you? We can ask her after we finish eating." Mydri eats slowly and moves away when she sees the human wants to sit with them. "I'm Mydri." She says, silently, before going back to eat. The good thing about having two more at the table is that they can talk between themselves.
"And I am Zuri, you were traveling with us on the ship weren´t you?" She says as she eats another spoonful of the delicous stew. "Did you get a little seasick? Back on ship? You have more color in you face now."
"Well, from the bits I heard, it does sound interesting. And I do believe in spirits and depending on the history of that place one might as well be tied to it. But I am not sure, whatever is there sounds aggresive and maybe even dangerous." Zuri thinks for a while and then asks Mydri. "What do you think? We could also go ask about the errand and decide what to do after."
"If I learned one thing in life it is not to assume people know what they are seeing. Not saying the guy is not telling the truth but if you get 6 witnesses to a crime you will have 7 different stories until you let them talk among themselves and agree on one."
"What ghosts?" Mydri hasn't really listened to Frank's conversation, considering she (and the others, actually) was sitting at a separate table from Frank and Ron, and thus didn't hear the story. "Personally, I think ghosts are fascinating, as stories. Maybe as a painting. If ghosts were real..." She begins to trail off. "Why not them?" She completes the sentence, but her lips moved voicelessly. Indeed, if ghosts were real, why not those who were snatched away from her life?
"Well, that was a great meal." Says Zuri as she fiinshes her stew. "I am going to ask the batender about the errand, we can always go investigate the spooky story later. You can with me if you want." She says as she makes her way to the bar.
Seeing you've finished your meal, Hanna approaches the music box, pulls some levers reducing the volume of the music. When she is happy about the new volume, she approaches your table and stands next to you, in such way, that both your table and Frank can hear what she says. Hope You enjoyed the meal. About that errand, it's quite simple. If you follow the road the leads west of the town, there is an old wizard tower just a few hours of walk. It's been abandoned for some time, until a scholar named Matreus decided to settle there and explore its book archives. Since he moved there, he never leaves the tower so I send him supplies from time to time. That's where you come in. All I need from you is that you bring him the supplies I've prepared. Normally I send the supplies via someone passing by but, there haven't been too many travelers lately. She looks around trying to guess whether you are interested in the task. Oh and when you go back, last time, I've lend him a few books of mine. Would you bring them back from him please? There isn't really anything special about the books, they are just close to my heart. As for the payment, sadly, I don't have much in the terms of gold. I can give each of you 5 gold, but I will also allow you to stay in one of our rooms for a month for free. What do you think?
”It seems like a simple enough task for some room and board. I’d be glad to help you out. Has there been any trouble on the road? Is it worth me unpacking my armor for the walk?”
The roads are generally quite safe, piracy is much more popular than banditry in these parts. You might encounter some local wildlife, but I don't think animals would dare to attack such a large group.
A great reward for a simple task. Seems almost too good to be true. She thinks to herself. "Sounds easy enough. I´ll help you out too." Then Zuri takes in a breath, as if she wanted to ask something but changes her mind and just stands there in silence.
Frank chimes in, "Is that 20 gold total, split 4 ways or is that 5 gold per face regardless of how many of us return? Just making sure I understand the deal fully."
"I don't have the money for lodging now, a free roof and a bed for a month is more than enough for me. If it doesn't bother you, may I join this expedition?" Mydri says, directed mostly to Zuri. The Halfling seemed kind, she might be good company. "So where is that we need to transport?"

"Hello Zuri, yes I am afraid I was poor company on the ship. The movement of the deck upset me. I feel a lot better now"
He says dipping his bread in his soup and eating it hungrily.
"So what do you make of our little ghost story? Sound like it might be interesting to investigate"
"Well, from the bits I heard, it does sound interesting. And I do believe in spirits and depending on the history of that place one might as well be tied to it. "Or, well, just keep an open mind really."

Frank stares at this random person interrupting their conversation and then continues.
"So, Ron, lets talk about other things. Have you got any family? How's life here in Saltmarsh in general? What does tomorrow bring you?"
"Well, that was a great meal." Says Zuri as she fiinshes her stew. "I am going to ask the batender about the errand, we can always go investigate the spooky story later. You can with me if you want." She says as she makes her way to the bar.
Gethin wipes the bowl clean with his last piece of bread
"I'm going to need some coin to pay for room and board, I wonder what this errand is. Only one way to find out."
He follows Zuri to the bar
"So, se were wondering about this errand you might have for us. Can you tell us more about it?." Zuri asks the bartender.
