He lifts himself up into the dusty attic and has a good look around to see if anything up there is of any interest. He takes out his dowsing rods and carefully sets them up, then begins dowsing for anything magical as he walks around carefully studying what is there.
(I'm guessing Investigation? He has his light source with him and can move it around to see things up close 20 Also ritual casting Detect Magic - should have been doing that before but I forgot he had it :) )
You do not see anything too valuable or magical up in the attic. In one of the wardrobes you find an outdoorsy looking shirt, vest and trousers. Unlike the rest of the stuff in the attic, these pieces of clothing aren't covered in a layer of dust and seem perfectly clean. You "magic-o-meter" also pings as you approach the clothes. You've seen some of the merchants and richer people in the cities wear a self cleaning clothes, so you guess it might be one of these.
On the far end of the western part of the attic (the direction where the others found the laboratory and the planetarium), you notice a light coming through the floorboards from below.
Gethin takes the clothes and climbs back down, then he takes out his magic-o-meter again and looks at the others
"I could see gaps in the attic floor in the direction you went just now, I did not spend any time looking as you have been in there. These clothes seem valuable, the sort of thing nobles will pay good money for, other than that it was mostly dusty junk up there. Now I've assembled this I think its a good idea to quickly go through all the places we know are safe enough and check for anything really valuable we might have missed. Shall we?"
(From now on its the magic-o-meter now and forever more :) )
"I don´t think we´ve missed anything but I guess it won´t hurt to check." She says and starts walking through the two rooms they were just in, looking for anything valuable.
"Well sometimes things look boring but are magical, like these clothes. I think its well worth a look before we leave"
He follows her, the magic-o-meter in his hands
(So the intent here is to quickly go through all the rooms picking up anything magical that we did not spot before. Including anything we picked up and are carrying already)
As you enter the laboratory (the first room) you magic-o-meter starts to silently hum. There is a lot of background magic energy form the years of experimenting, when you check the various glassware and measuring devices, the magic-o-meter starts to hum a bit louder, however it still doesn't show anything exceptional. You get the strongest response from one of the "Books with the mansion on the cover", found on one of the desks (see post #245).
As for the value of the items they seem to be quite old fashioned, yet precisely crafted. Any scholar or magician would probably like having similarly equipped laboratory, but the there isn't anything which would be too valuable on its own only as the "whole set".*
In the second room (the planetarium), your magic-o-meter shows you a strong presence of illusion magic all around, but pings a bit more when you come closer to the far wall of the room.
*I'm not going to bother with dealing with encumbrance, but you won't be able to pack a whole room of items into you bags.
Gethin looks at the far side of the planetarium room
"Well there is something more interesting on the other side of this. Which could also be dangerous. But having a little looks seems to be what we are here for, so unless someone says otherwise I'll have a good look around"
He looks at the far wall, it looks like just a wall but his magic-o-meter indicates that there should be something there, or on the other side. He looks up and tries to visualise how far he went in the attic when seeing the light below. Wondering whether it was really this room he had seen or perhaps something beyond it
(I'm struggling to know what ability that would be, investigation? If so this is the roll 7 )
Gethin tries to measure the distances in his head. He is sure the light was coming from somewhere near the far wall, but he is able to place it just with a margin of roughly 10 feet and is thus not sure, whether it was coming from the planetarium.
"Well there is something there and i don't know what. Its magical but that could be either good or bad. Who knows. Anyone want to put in the effort to find a way through? It could be that we can get through from the attic, I saw a gap there but I don't know if its a way through or not"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

She will go to the far wall in the planetarium where Gethin said the light was coming from, and check it for hidden door or maybe a switch that would open a way further.
