“If you can lead us that would be great. Fair warning we’ve encounter some mantis creatures around here. I wouldn’t want you to get hurt so I’d suggest you hide if we see them. However please lead the way towards the prayer chamber.”
Dmitrei says to the Pixie in Druidic. He completely trusts the Fey because he’s never heard of or encountered an evil Fey.
I brief expression of confusion casts on Teleya’s face, then shock as she sees the dead mantis. Her gaze pans from the dead bug’s body to the group’s weapons. She covers her mouth, “O-oh, my--” she looks nervous and... ill. She swallows hard, as if choking down bile and then dozes. She faints. Like a feather, she drifts down to the ground and lies motionless in a small patch of green grass. A trail of gold glittering dust follows her decent. By Jinx’s measure, the pixie is trustworthy, maybe a little childish but honest nonetheless.
Turning to the others Dmitri says "Well, that could have gone better. Still, she showed us the door. I say let us go in and take her with us. I'm sure she'll awaken soon but, I fear she may not be of much use while we are battling if she fainted at the sight of just one of those."
When Thokk dips his fingers into the water the tiny fish within swim toward it and encircle his hand. Flicking the water on the Pixie stirs her from her sleep. She sits up in Faen’s palm. “W-what happened?” she looks at each of the Guardians. “I fell asleep, didn’t I? That’s embarrassing.” She holds her head in her tiny hands letting her brown hair curtain her face. “Well. Let’s go.” she says and points toward the entrance. “Head into the tree hollow. The path spirals down into the main chamber below.” She looks to the Druid with his torch. “You won’t need that. I can light the way.” Her eyes begin to glow green.
Teleya the pixie leads the group into the forest temple. Her own body glows radiant green to light the dark and narrow path that seems to lead underground. Eventually, the spiral stops and flat ground lies before them. In the pixie's light, everyone can see a cave passage. The cave walls are covered in thick moss and old knotted tree roots protrude from them. Eventually, the path widens, and the group enters into a chamber. So far, so good. No traps, monsters, or... anything really.
The chamber is circular; about 20 feet wide. There are four passages attached to it, one in each cardinal direction. The group stands at the southern passage. The northern passage is blocked by a large stone door. Teleya flies over to the door. The East and West passages have no doors. There is a light breeze coming from the eastern passage and dripping water echoes from the western passage.
"It's strange." The pixie sounds puzzled, "this wasn't here before." The door looks out of place. Its stone face doesn't match the stone in the rest of the cave. The has some large diamond-shaped slots, but it's otherwise featureless. "Perhaps Drywhel put it here to keep people out... I'm not sure though."
Just as Thokk goes to try and push the stone door open, Jinx notices something. It’s trapped. Thokk doesn’t trigger anything, pushing on the door normally doesn’t budge it. A big strong push could slide it inward, but if the door wasn’t meant to be here, it wasn’t meant to be easily opened without consequence. The diamond shaped slots seem to be a clue that there is a key, perhaps it deactivates the trap?
In short: Jinx’s investigation roll doesn’t discern necessarily the exact characteristics of the trap or what it will do, but she can piece together the information to know that trying to bypass it without permission might be problematic.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thokk stop it's trapped," Jinx calls out her warning but he moves too quickly putting his weigh on the door that thankfully doesn't activate the trap. "Those markings," she then adds pointing to the diamond shapes, "we need a key," she explains.
Jinx will look around for a key or something to open the door. Investigation 4
Jinx is suspicious of fey in general, no offense Faen, and wants to know if this pixie is friend or foe insight 4
OOC: But apparently not today...

"But we shouldn't leave her out here. It could be dangerous." Faen says as she picks up the small pixie and cradles her in her hands.

“I imagine the passage blocked by the door leads to where we need to go. Does it open?”
Dmitrei will go up to the door, first incestigating it for any traps but also if there is more Druidic written anywhere on the door.

Dmitrei asks the other members of the group to see if they have any ideas.

Dmitrei stops moving. "Who's vision is based on movement?" He stage whispers back.
OOC: Uh what Finny? It's a trap not a bug. We all need to look for the key!!
