All this time, Hino has been lazily following along with the group, too dumb to understand what the letters, notes, and books were talking about. Her ear sensors perk up, though, at the mention of the meenlocks. "Ooooh, heard of them before. Nasty little buggers. They attack their victims by scaring them to death. But don't be afraid, ya'll, as Hino's here and she's got your back!"
Similar to Orvok, Hino projects an aura of calm. Yeah, it's more a projection of her dull-witted simplemindedness, but it has the same effect on people.
Announcing to the room (to no one in particular), Hino yells "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" while she taps the floorboards with the tip of her ginormous blade.

He collects his dagger, and then leads the group outside of the manor.
’I’m minded to release the mules, send them on their way back to Candlekeep. We can’t take them into the mine with us…’
aye, didnt seem to be much in the path as far as danger, but who's to say they would stay on the path? Hm. Well, there is no chance they wont be targeted here, and on the road they may yet survive. It sounds like it would be fine to send them back.
Vermeillon, established after settlers discovered a platinum vein in the mountainside, did a booming business in both the raw ore and the refined metal for around a decade. Due to the rough terrain and the harshness of the climate, the village never grew large. It intermittently hosted a succession of traveling merchants who came to the village for a week or two, sold and traded their wares, then left again. The nearest civilized settlement was three days’ ride on horseback down the mountainside. The inhabitants named in the book include Mayor Lei Duvezin, a kind and talented dwarf smith named Tormun, and his wife, Blenyss.

Isa has calmed down a bit after both Orvok and Hino talked to her but not completely trusting anything that is happening right now as her mind is trying to take her to some very illogical places. "Yes, yes, I'll stay very close, don't worry about that." she replies. She follows closely, clutching her lighted staff and ready to recast her light cantrip should the current spell end its duration (1 hr).
As the group starts moving towards the mine, Isa's eyes art darting back and forth keeping a watch out. She starts to audibly recant the words of the book to herself. "Meenlocks create more of their kind by transforming humanoids through a process of psychic torment that takes hours or days. Meenlocks live in subterranean nests." She starts mumbling to herself " I can't... I just can't go through that again... I, I will die first..." suddenly she looks up a bit and starts to regain a bit of focus "THEY will die first, they will BURN!" She says to herself.

As Mav walks around with his rapier as a cane poking shadows, Barbär says ow! to lighten the mood. Do i understand all this, do they manifest from giving it attention? Acknowledging them?
A gaping hole in the mountainside northeast of the village marks the entrance to the platinum mine. Several carts sit outside the cavern. One is filled with rock and dirt pulled from the mine, the others piled with large beams of wood—new supports that were never installed after the collapse.
The first 30 feet inside the mine are dimly lit, and anything beyond 30 feet is in darkness. Cart wheels have carved shallow ruts in the dirt floor leading to the back of the mine, where the cave-in was never fully excavated. Smaller tunnels branch off from the main shaft.
Isa, you can hear the softest of unintelligible whispers in your ear as you all stand in front of the mine.
M1 - MAIN TUNNEL
The mine is dark and damp, and you hear the sound of dripping water echoing from deep within. The light fades faster than it should as you move deeper, until you’re wrapped in oppressive gloom and shadow. The main tunnel heads into the mountain, ending at a pile of rubble left over from the cave-in. Secondary hallways branch off to the left and the right.
As the group approaches the entrance to the mine, Isa starts nervously looking around again "I can hear them whispering!!" she says frantically "Don't you hear that?!?" she asks the others as her breathing becomes shorter and lighter.

"They're in here.... I just know it..." she states as she stays close to the rest of the group.
