Nalla will continue to keep her Mage Hand by the door, staying still as she waits to see what Verdan and Sunshine are going to do.

Mr. Fists nods. "Confront them if they have artifacts."

Are you going in through the door?  Any preparations to carry out before you do?  Who is taking the lead?

Okay, so someone opens the door. :)

Inside, you see five cloaked figures in the middle of ransacking the building.  The one nearest to you turns as soon as the door opens, and gives a warning cry to the others.

Everyone roll initiative please.

Impatient with waiting much longer, Sunshine strides to the door and throws it open. Afternoon, folks! she chirps. Can we help ya with somethin'?

Telias is up.

Telias steps into the doorway and then to the left twice. Not wanting to be the first to attack if the situation doesn't need it he begins casting a spell but does not release it.

(Holding action: Toll the Dead on CE1. Trigger if one of them attacks.)

DC12 WIS or 7 damage

As Telias makes the gestures and chants the words for his spell, one of the elves shouts in elvish:  Kill the mage first!, draws a crossbow and attacks Telias:

Attack: 19 Damage: 8

But also triggers Telias' spell:

WIS save: 7

The spell does not affect him, the crossbow bolt fires, and Telias drops to the ground, unconscious and bleeding out.

Nalla is up.

Nalla is going to move away from view of the door, moving two spaces to the right. She will then begin to ready a Firebolt to fire at whoever comes into sight if they seem agressive. 

Firebolt: Attack: 19 Damage: 7

Elf 3 moves to get a good line of sight through the door, and fires a crossbow bolt at Sunshine:

Attack: 5 Damage: 5

(That hits, I believe, unless Sunshine can counter it somehow?)

Elf 1 attacks Nalla, triggering her attack; he takes 2 fire damage, but manages to shoot:

Attack: 12 Damage: 6

The fire bolt knocks his aim off, and the bolt thuds uselessly into the snow.

Verdan is up.

Verdan stick his head in the door, seeing Talias on the ground.

"Up you go, on your feet,
It's not yet time to your maker meet."

Then focusing on the nearest Elf (1), he intones,

"I must say, this doesn't look good,
But attacking before talking seems quite rude."

Bonus Action: Healing Word on Talias for 6 healing
Action: Vicious Mockery on Cloaked Elf 1 (DC13 WIS Save), on failure 2 Psychic damage and disadvantage on next attack roll.

Talias, you heal for 6 point, but are still prone on the ground.

Elf 1 WIS save:  12

The elf winces in pain.

Elf 2 moves forward and shoots at Mr. Fists through the doorway:

Attack: 20 Damage: 6

This seems like a skilled and well-trained gang, and the bolt hits, penetrating the kenku's shoulder.

Mr. Fists is up.

Mr. Fists will move up to Cloaked Elf No. 2 and attack.

Shortsword - Attack: 7 Damage: 4

Bonus Action Unarmed strike - Attack: 14 Damage: 6

Stab and smack.  In a whirl of feathers, the kenku brings down the first opponent.  Elf 2 is dead.

Elf 4, taken aback by this small reversal, rushes up to attack Mr. Fists in melee, a short scimitar slashing through the air:

Attack: 11 Damage: 9

But failing to connect with anything.

Sunshine is up.

With a grimace and a snarled curse in Infernal, Sunshine moves into the room to flank Elf 4. Both hands are wrapped around her daggers, and she slashes twice at Elf 4.

Attack: 18 Damage: 4

Bonus Action: Offhand Attack: 19 Damage: 1
