Telias, that would be more of a religion check, which with your +1 modifier is 15. This sounds to you a lot more like a prayer than any kind of magic, but as an adherent of the Arch Heart, there's something... unsettling about it. You feel a knot of alarm in your stomach as you consider which god this dwarf might be praying to.
Nalla will move back away from them and prepare to cast herself if needed, readying herself to blast the dwarf with a Firebolt if they appear to be acting hostile after they finish the prayer.
After about thirty minutes, the chanting comes to an end and both the dwarf and the elf open their eyes. They seem to react in shock at your presence nearby, standing up and putting hands to weapons. They don't attack immediately, though, and the dwarf says sharply in common:
Who in the hells are you? What are you doing in my cave? Keep your distance, or I'll gut the lot of you.
I... what? Tulgi told you? Are you...? She seems genuinely flummoxed, and though the elf is still looking at you very warily, the dwarf seems to be relaxing a little.
The dwarf, who you assume to be Hulil, looks very sceptical. She glances over at Mr. Fists and Sunshine, who have both taken some damage. I reckon you fought through most of my employees on the way in here, right? Any of them survive? And what are you lot, anyway? Elro's hounds?
She shudders visibly as she finishes speaking, and a hand seems to go involuntarily to her face where the icy blue veins are pulsing slightly.
"We fought more frogs than anythin' else, really," Sunshine says. She rubs a hand against one of the blood stains on her coat and shrugs. "They pack a punch."
Her tail twitches a little nervously at the sight of the dwarf's blue veins, the bright yellow appendage clearly visible until she shifts to cover it with her coat again. "We've been hired to figure out what's goin' on with that weird blue vein thingy ya got happenin'," she says. "Ya know anythin' useful?"
I know I'm dying of it, that's what I know. What do you know? She still seems hostile, and not inclined to trust you, but she's listening, and so far the elf seems to be following her lead.
"Not much more then you it would seem. From what we have across though it has something to do with an item that many people have come across." Nalla says as she watches the two, keeping a closer watch on the elf.
Yeah, no kidding, Hulil replies. She frowns. So, you're investigating this thing, right? Well, that suits me fine, since I need a cure, obviously. So, I did find something. A note. Not signed. Might be from... whoever is doing all this. You can take a look if you like, it's in that chest.
She points at the stone chest across the room, and then turns to her companion: It's okay, Raegrin. I don't think they're here to fight. The elf backs away a little, but takes his hands from his weapons. If you say so, he says, regarding you all suspiciously.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sunshine narrows her eyes. "No, no, this isn't suspicious in the slightest," she mutters, only partially under her breath. She glances at the others and gives them a little shrug. "I'll scope it out, I guess. No use in anyone else gettin' hurt if it's a trap." Before anyone else can say anything, she steps forward and moves toward the chest. She's not touching it, though, without checking it over first.
Hoping that there will not be a fight here, Nalla will step forward and cast Detect Magic normally to check for any magic that is in or around the chest.

Let me know what you're planning to do. :)

Mr. Fists will continue to stay silent, lest he want to start another fight.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Your sister told us where to find you." Telias responds. "We're looking to help cure whatever is affecting the two of you."

Telias, make a Persuasion check.

Need to edit that, or re-roll.
(I can see it. It's an 8)

(Yes, I can see it now too, thanks for editing.)

Mr. Fists sighs in relief. "Bless Raei" he whispers." He nods and repeats in Hulil's voice "Investigating this thing."

Sunshine, Hulil rolls her eyes and spits on the ground at your words.
You don't find any sign of traps on the stone chest.
