Ada nods and smiles at Misha "Yes indeed, Glorious Victory!"  She then moves towards one of the Khaasta bodies and searches it for any clues or items that may be of value on it.  As she is searching she muses "Maybe we should have asked him how to open the portal from this side...." she gives a short chuckle and continues her search.

Investigation: 24

"Too late now, leetle one." Misha says, returning the smirk.

Kel claps Barkas on the shoulder.  “My thanks, Barkas.  It would have proved a much more difficult battle without your most timely help.”

"Yes, zeh magical healing forest creetures? A nice touch." Misha agreed.

“Yes Barkas, thank you for your healing touch.“

“Wish I could have helped more.  My guided bolt went awry, but your aim was true.  I’m glad that I could help at least with healing.  I am curious about what we have found and what this creature revealed.  I will need to consult my charts.”  Barkas proceeds to sit down in the middle of the mess criss  cross apple sauce and begins to study his star chart, looking for explanation, and portals.

Daetris watches the others with an arched eyebrow as she stows her arrows back away. "We are such an odd bunch," she mutters under her breath as she moves to group up with the others. "So what now? The leader disappeared on us with whatever kinda weapon he was using - and through a portal of some sort."

Misha stood at attention, guarding over everyone. When it came to the firey world of Acheron, she was a Prime - a conqueror, a destroyer, the vex of the Legions of Hell. Here, she was on a mission from Bane. She would do as she was told. And, in the process, she would protect her new friends, as well.

Barkas reflects on his stars and such, meditating until it occurs to him that such portals typically remain in place even when not seen...likely some sort of key is needed to re-open them. The Ravager carries nothing but maybe a few fleas. Ada finds a total of 20 gold between the two warriors. The coins are unfamiliar, but gold is gold. Also found is a strange feather made of silver. It is a chain, like a locket, shoved in the pack of one of the Khaasta warriors.

Barkas casts guidance on himself then regards the feather made of silver, magic item, open a portal?  Or trinket...

Barkas is unsure, but somehow that makes sense. 

"These are some interesting looking gold coins..." Ada remarks as she turns one over in her hand "hey, gold is gold though."

"Oh, hey, what do we have here?" she says as she pulls the silver feather "Barkas, have a look at it while I finish searching" she tosses it over to Barkas.  After she has finished searching the departed, she brings the gold to Misha who had the 'loot' from the last encounter "we can add this to the bag" she hands the gold over "thanks for carrying it"

Moving back over towards Barkas "So, have you figured anything out with it?  Is it just a trinket?  The puzzling look on your face tells me that you are unsure.... here" she sticks her hand out "let me have a look."

Arcana: 25

She flips the feather over and over in her hands... "anyone have a detect magic spell?"

Ada is unfamiliar with any arcane attributes of the silver feather, but like Barkas, she believes the gate must be opened by some sort of arcane trigger. Could it be the feather? Probably only one way to find out. 

Ada continues to look at the silver feather "My Precious...." "You thinks it's used to open a portal similar to the one those others slipped through?  I guess, all we can do is try." she says hopefully.  She turns towards the alley and holds the silver feather trinket out in front of her and simply says "Open" in her best Draconic possible.

Seeing Ada once again move toward potential danger, Kel rushes to catch up to her, his hand grabbing her shoulder just as she speaks.  "Not bad, needs to come from the throat a little more."  He says, standing next to her, waiting to see what happens.

As Ada walks down the alley way, muttering her Draconic, nothing appears to be happening. As she comes to a halt, frustrated and turning to shrug at the others, the silver feather alights, thrumming lightly as the portal reappears on the alley wall. 

Misha's eyebrows raise.

Seeing Ada once again move toward potential danger, Kel rushes to catch up to her, his hand grabbing her shoulder just as she speaks.  "Not bad, needs to come from the throat a little more." 

Ada is a bit startled by the hand on her shoulder but immediately recognizes the voice to be Kel "Thanks Kel, I'll remember that"

She turns back to the group with a bit of disappointment on her face "Well, it was worth a try... I don't think that it." she says being completely unaware of what's happening behind her.

Looking down at her precious the feather, she notices that it's lighting up "Wait!" she says excitedly, "Maybe it IS working..." she quickly turns around to see the portal appearing on the wall towards the end of the alley.  "Oh...." is all she can get out.

Kel squeezes Ada's shoulder.  "Think again, Ada."  He says as he sees the portal open.  Releasing her shoulder he pulls his glaive in front of them.

"We should be careful." was all Misha could say, looking at the portal. It was the best advice she could give.
