Ada is a bit wide-eyed at the sight of the portal, not thinking that she would actually be able to open it. Standing there for just a moment, taking it all in, she just stares at the portal... suddenly she pulls herself together and as she puts the silver feather in her pouch she turns back to the others "Well, are ya ready to see what's on the other side?" she asks.

Misha places a hand on Ada's shoulder, looking it over. After a moment's consideration, she steps through first. If there was to be a trap, or danger, Misha would be the one to say hello, or be the target.
Ada stops and waits with an inquisitive look towards Misha, then as she moves forward and starts going through the portal, Ada turns towards Kel "C'mon, let's go" she says, not wanting to miss out on any of the 'excitement'.... and follows Misha through the portal.

For all but one of you, the step through the portal is an odd, stomach-churning experience. To Misha, there is some sense of familiarity. Stepping through the other side, you are greeted by the stench of oily metal shavings and air that's heavy with leadlike dust. The ground at your feet is muddy, even greasy, with trickles of befouled water running through the kneaded, soggy soil. A rough landscape of oily, tillings and syrupy pools stretches in every direction. Dark, sooty clouds hang overhead, threatening a rain that you somehown know will only further pollute the environs, rather than cleanse the foul area.

Ada steps through the portal on the other side, her stomach in knots from the experience. The thick smell of oily, greasy, metal leadlike dust smell fills her nostrils. "Whoa is right, what is that smell?!" She looks around at her new surroundings taking it all in for a moment. "This is really gross" she says quietly.

Barkas instinctively feels something is off. Something different. Something foreign. If he could only see the sky, chart the stars and get his bearings...the dark clouds, though, block the way for now.

Kel steps through after Ada, a small growl escaping him at the feeling in his stomach. The foreign, toxic nature of the place puts him on edge and he scans the surrounding area for threats.
Kel peers about, taking in the scene around them. With each step, all of your boots/feet grow heavy with a muddy build-up, which is tainted blue with a metallic dust. The sky seems ready to burst at any moment -- though minutes ago you recall it to be not only clear skies, but also the middle of the night. Kel spots what might be shelter from the impending storm off to your left. A blackened, scarred cliff-face rises up out of the mire, and built alongside it is a round, domed building that sits askew the mud.

Misha takes in a big breath, her chest expanding, then, she sighs happily.
"Ahhh. Like zeh weapon forges on Tintibulus."
ACHERON TINTIBULUS, THE THIRD LAYER
Zaedriana, The Headmaster Emeritus - and my mental teacher - took a liking to me. I have no idea why, all I wanted to do was to fight and exercise. But I received an education nevertheless. When I was 20, I was taken to the third layer of Acheron: Tintibulus. Tintibulus contains a large number of four-sided, five-sided, eight-sided, and other solids in preference to the six-sided cubes that predominate the other layers of Acheron. A layer of thick dust coats the surface of the solids here, which are made of a grey volcanic stone. Sorcerous libraries are scattered here, and is one of the best places on the plane for magical research. A few times I was seen reading from these books, in an effort to learn tactics and strategy that would make me a better fighter, and to understand the universe outside of my own. She was the first one to explain to me that I was not born, but created with biological engineering.
"In our war with The Nine Hells, we discovered a way to make warriors faster than birthing them from the females of our kind. With knowledge we have acquired in our conquest of the multiverse, we discovered a way to make titanic genesis chambers in Banehold where we could create soldiers faster, better, stronger - tailored to our needs. Each one would have a purpose. You do not have parents. You will notice you lack the emotional capability to wonder where they are, or to know what it is like to have siblings. This was done on purpose, for you only have one purpose as a Prime Paladin."
"I understand, Headmaster Emeritus. Bane's Will speaks through you. Thus, it will be done. Misha obeys."

Barkas tilts his head and looks at Misha, seeing her clearly with the sulfur and lead smell acting like smelling salts. What do I really know about her? What is her real mission? The charts couldn’t have been wrong, could they? They were passed down to me from Vorenus, and passed down to him through the ages.... but what if....
Barkas regards Misha through clearer eyes, and the surrounding as well.

But.... she is a sight to behold. And the way she swings that sword.... Bane?
Ada slowly comes to her senses as she fights through the odors of this new realm. She takes a look over the landscape in hope of getting her bearings.

She looks over at Barkas, who seemed to be starring at Misha for a moment, and then back at Misha who is almost oddly comfortable here "Have you been here before?" she asks Misha, trying her best to understand why she seems to almost be at home here.

Mostly concerned with possible threats Kel doesn't catch most of the conversation, just the last question by Ada. Looking over, he sees that, indeed, Misha looks right at home here. Most interesting! He was excited to find out more about her!
Barkas can’t stand it any longer, the questions in his head. He never really has been one to hold back his thoughts, he is not artful in that way. “Tintibulus? I’m not familiar with it. It is like this? Can you tell us more about where you are from... and why you are here with us? I had my own thoughts.... but now I’m not so sure...”.
Stepping through the portal is a strange experience. Watching the others interact is stranger. Daetris gives a little shrug as she looks around, not entirely concerned with Misha's reaction. Hey, if someone's familiar with this type of place, she won't turn down the help. The scent makes her wrinkle her nose - gods, why are the smells always so bad?
"Does it matter why she's here with us?" Daetris asks. "She's here, she's got a giant sword good for beheading, and she at least seems like she knows what she's doing around here."
Ada:"Have you been here before?" she asks Misha, trying her best to understand why she seems to almost be at home here.
Misha turns to Ada, a warm smile on her face, like she just got home from a long day of beheading. "I hef not, no. Reminds me of home. The smell of fire, ash. The sky. Eesn't eet wonderful?"she smiles.
Barkas:“Tintibulus? I’m not familiar with it. It is like this? Can you tell us more about where you are from... and why you are here with us? I had my own thoughts.... but now I’m not so sure...”.
She swivels to you next. "Ah, hello Barkas, my friend! Yes, Tintibulus, one of the layers of Acheron. Eet ees like thees - the heat, and the smell. Acheron is the Plane of War - my home, and the Throne of our Lord General, the God of War, Bane. A land of eternal strife, where I was created to serve Him and hees Weel. I serve heem weethout question, weethout hesitation. I em here because I am commanded to be. I am here to protect. I am here to conquer. Meesha leestens, Meesha obeys."
Barkas pauses, listening to Misha’s words. “Ok. Thank you for telling me Misha.” He lets the matter drop ... for now. More pressing matters were ahead. He is curious to uncover more, he feels that he has only scratched the surface in understanding her.
