Zhisshikassa bares his fangs in annoyance as he’s thrown head over heels into the frigid water beneath. The coldness hits him like a truck - he feels his cold-blooded muscles begin to seize as he sluggishly thrashes around.
Athletics: 3
Zhi barely even breaks the surface in his struggle. He’s about as strong as a wet noodle.
"Flippin' logs!!" Arora murmurs as she pulls herself out. "And now I gotta climb back up?! GRRRR"
Arora Spider Climb: 6
She slips and falls right back to the ground "D****!! This is about as useless as a one legged toad!" Nothing like providing a little chaos to the situation she thinks to herself.
"Hey, anyone got a rope?? We need a little help down here... Ummmm, Zhi is cold and we need to get him up and out". Arora instead goes back to help the rest of the party get out of the cold water, starting with Zhi if he's still in the water.
Daewen's normally pale white face is bright red with anger, for missing out on all the action...apparently the god which controls her every action was busy today. She quickly sheathes her swords, doffs her pack and pulls out a long length of rope, and ties one end of the rope to the nearest sturdy tree. She then throws the other end of the rope down to the others struggling to get out of the cold river below (especially towards Zhisshikassa, who looks to be in obvious anguish). She'll then Help any of those up by pulling the rope back up like a fisherman with a prized fish on the line.
Arora finally makes it back up with the rest of the group “Thanks Daewen!! Where were we.... oh that’s right, who needs some healing before we move on to those lights over there?” She points off in the distance where she had previously seen some lights.
Mock had hit the river with a loud splash, and she stayed there for a while, just floating in the frigid water. She can't believe logs of all things took her out. Logs. With a sigh, she joins the others in climbing up out of the river, being the last one up after boosting the others all up. Much like a dog, she shakes herself off once she's standing on solid ground again. It's cold, but she'll live. Then she copies Daewen's thumbs up at Arora. "Peachy here."

"If you have any to spare I wouldn't say no. Stupid drow got me before I torched him." Raza replies.
Nephvir gives the thumbs up sign, after dumping the water out of his boots. "I'm ready to roll. Perhaps we can avoid any future traps. I need to stay observant." He thumps his chest twice with his fist and then points to the lights with two fingers. "We're coming yo."
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Doc had a bloody nose as waded out of the water towards the others. A scowl spread across his face as he dumped water out of his bag, he looked to the others and growled out, "I'm done playing around with the Drow. Let's go and get these S.O.B's and figure out what the hell is going on!!"
You continue along the forest and river path and eventually, the river diverges away and you're back in the thick of the forest again. The thick trees shift just within the range of your vision and you hear the sound of panicked birds taking flight from the shadowy canopy. A booming, grandfatherly voice shouts at you in anger.
"I have had enough of devils and dark elves! Flee my forest and tell your people to take their black magic and warfare elsewhere!"
The source of the voice reveals itself as it speaks: a moving tree with an angry, moss-covered face and humanoid bodies hanging from its branches. It walks forward on thick tree-trunk legs, moving quickly towards you, promising violence.
This is new... Doc thought to himself as the tree came to life in front of the party's eyes. Trying to avoid some sort of incident with the tree-creature, Doc stepped forward, hands up, and said, "We're not Dark Elves. In fact, we're searching for them ourselves! They've caused some trouble for both us and some people we've come across recently and we hope to find and stop them if we can!"

OOC: How about using the scroll of daylight we received back on page 20 / post #384? Use it to convince the tree ent that we're not allergic to sunlight like Drow are?

Daewen gives Arora the thumb-up sign, as if to say I'm good. I'm ready. Let's roll.

Brownbark stops. You can see that hanging from trees are the bodies of dead drow. He's murdered a few.
"Enough violence! Enough! You say you are not drow?! How do I know you are not devils in disguise. In MY forest!"
