Hi everyone, I've been playing d&d for over 2 years now and haven't ever been this stumped before. I would love some help if possible.
I have created a Lv 7 twilight domain dwarf cleric with 14 str and equipt splint heavy armor. I was under the presumption when making this character that the dwarfs racial feature of;
Your base walking speed is 25 feet. Your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.
would mean that my speed is not reduced the standard 10ft that would otherwise be in play for wearing heavy armor as another race. However, on my character sheet my movement has been reduced to 15ft. The only way's that I can enforce the dwarfs speed feature is by changing my strength requirements, customising the weight of splint armor, or overriding my walking speed. In our game we run variant encumbrance and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with my problem. I've also noticed that under the list of racial traits on my pc sheet doesn't include this speed feature, which leads me to believe that this feature isn't even being recognised when my speed is calculated. Is this a programming bug that I'm experiencing or am I interpreting the dwarfs feature incorrectly?
