“They’re lying about that house and whot they knows- whot we wants to do about that?” Tygron tells his companions, loud enough for the Redbrands to hear.
Ryn: Glad that the Redbrands have seen reason, Ryn says, "Don't worry, they'll answer our questions. Won't you, lads?" His voice flat as he stares them down.
Intimidation: 17
Speaking quickly as he moves to assist the dying thugs, he says to the man, "The fight is over. No harm done, unless your stupidity gets your friends here killed. Are you going to help me, or do you want them to die?"
The Eldritch blast slams into the other Redbrand, surprising him, and knocking him backwards onto his back.
The Redbrand being questioned looks surprised and angry "Hey! We surrendered!" He looks round and see's that the Redbrand that took the blast is slowly getting back to his feet, injured and shaken, but alive. He looks at Melaria and says "You're lucky I don't still have my sword" as adrenalin flows through his body; and then "Look, I don't know anything about no stupid missing wizard...but we have been using the old manor house as a hideout. The building itself has fallen down, but the cellars are still intact. There's a stairway leading down into it, it's as clear as day if you go up there. It's not even guarded as the locals here are so scared of us"
Melaria grins at the mention of being scared of them. "Scared.... scared of what... I'm more scared of a splinter. Get out of here before I send another one into your buddy here." The haze around her eyes begins to slowly dissipate.
A little monk retrieves his backpack. Using his hempen rope, he quietly binds the Redbrand's hands behind his back and then leads him back to the porch of the Sleeping Giant. He ties him securely to one of the support posts of the porch,, being very polite about it: "Pleaseput your hands behind your back." "Please come with me." "That's not too tight, is it?"
He turns to the party. "Perhaps you should check inside to make sure there are no reinforcements to come rescue this one. He is quite secure," he assures them.
The Redbrand let's Indiosecure him and he says "There's no more of us in there, check if you want." He sighs quietly, "Glasstaff told us to come down here and run you lot outta town...said it would be easy, that you lot were all show...."
As Sildar tends to his wounds he walks back to the party; "There's two cells in the TownMaster's Hall, but you might need to do some persuading to get them in there. The TownMaster himself, Harbin, seems more than intimidated by these ruffians."
You can bring three of the unconscious Redbrands round, but two of them are too far gone.
A few towns people are starting to gather after hearing the commotion, but they are all standing back in small groups, observing.
Ryn: Disappointed to find the Redbrand a lost cause, Ryn gives up on trying to stop the bleeding.
Jaw clenched, he calmly walks toward the prisoners and says, "Let their deaths be a lesson to you. Now go get in the damn cell."
Blood still on his hands, he grabs the unconscious thugs by the collar of their armor and drags them to the cells two at a time. Once secured, he searches them before unbinding the still-standing thugs and says, "Now, you're going to describe your little club house to me in detail, or I swear I'm going to start breaking bones. Important ones."
Tygron gathers their weapons, and helps bind the hands of the redbrands. “If they be wanted by the town, we should let the town deal with them. Now who’s this Glasstaff? And Where they be- in yonder cellars?”
Tygron will tend the wounds of the party and the redbrands alike, but won’t use any more magic. To the townsfolk he says “seems this gang’s been a bit o trouble to Ye all. That ends now. .”
He will help get them back to the prison, if the Townmaster wants them.
Teo has been observing the interactions between his friends and the Redbrands, unsure what it all means as this civilization is still a bit unfamiliar to him.
“We’re we not supposed to kill these bandits? I am quite certain they were trying to kill us.”
Teo will search the Sleeping Giant for any relevant info about the Redbrands or Glasstaff.
Indio looks at the growing crowd with dismay. "So much for a private chat," he muses. He turns to the party, and to Tygron and Ryn especially. "So we disarm them, bind them...and then what? The Townmaster? From what Sildar says, he's too deep in their pockets to do anything but let them go. Is that justice? We know they don't hesitate to kill," he adds, looking at the bloody slashes in his tunic. "Which means they have before. I say we turn them over to the townsfolk here. Let them decide if these vermin go to the Townmaster or to the crows," he suggests.
“Mob justice never really ends well, but if it takes them off our hands I’ll support it. Perhaps one of these friendly folks knows something about this Glasstaff character, or the abandoned house?”
Teo awkwardly makes eye contact and gestures to someone in the crowd who Teo thinks looks important. Teo speaks to the stranger as if they may be simple, or hard of hearing. “You, there! You know who we are, yes? We mean you no harm. We are looking for a missing wizard. Strange bearded magic man. Last seen in scary house on hill. You tell us what you know, yes?”
Melaria runs over to her Dragon and drops to her knees, picking it up she holds it close. Her face quickly turning from very angry, to very sad. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have put you in harms way, it won't happen again!" Tears, never forming, but close to it.

A lady halfling catches Indio's eye. She walks over slowly and stares at him as he delivers his awkward speech.
She laughs a little; "Quite the eventful morning in our little town. I do know what a wizard is, I might be a farmer, but I'm smarter than a goat I'll have you know. "
"There was a wizard that passed through here, small fella with a beard, but I haven't seen him for a few days at least."
She looks up at the decrepit manor house; "No one goes up that way, nothing to see and the place is falling down. We're a small town, we haven't got the means to fix it back up."
She watches Ryn binding and muscling the Redbrands off to the cells; "That lot have been terrorising us for too long, you'll have made some friends today, and some enemies. There's more of them about, so be careful, news travels fast in small towns."
"Who is this wizard anyway? Was he travelling about the area? I have a friend, he's a little strange, all druid's are, but he knows this area like the back of his hand. He might know something, I can give you directions to him given what you've done today"
As Teo is engaging in conversation with the halfling lady a small halfling boy runs up to Indio; "Wow! Are you adventurers! Wow! That's my mum over there speaking to your pal! Did you beat up the red people?"
Teo relaxes a little as the friendly halfling seems to understand his request. “An introduction to your Druid friend would be most appreciated, my lady. Any friend of the land is a friend of ours.”
Tygron says to the halfling woman “we’d love to meet yer Druid friend., we’re hearing a lot of interestin things about the area round here, might be helpful!”
Harbin the TownMaster seems flustered when Ryn, Tygron and Sildar all appear with prisoners and opens up the cells with some huffing and sighing. You hear him muttering "don't want any trouble" and "should have stayed out of it" , but he doesn't engage with you directly.
The Redbrands explain the layout of the cellars to you.
-the stairs drop you into a room with a cistern full of water
-theres a small room to the West that might have some RBs in.
-theres a corridor to the north leading to an old crypt which has three prisoners held in a cell in the room to the east. Two children and their mother.
- North of this room a passage bends round and opens South into a large cavern with a crevasse in the middle. It's guarded by some horrors, "a creature with a great eye"
- you need to cross a bridge to the other side and then there are three rooms on that side. The north is glasstaffs chamber. The middle is a common room. And to the South is the barracks.
- there are 10 or so Redbrands and 5 or 6 bugbears.

Ryn: Not sure if he completely believes the man, Ryn answers, "Could be true, could be lies, but the one thing I believe in is self-preservation."
Speaking in a casual manner, he says, "If you've told me the truth, well I've heard the Lord's Alliance is always in need of new recruits. Isn't that right, Sildar?"
He then leans in close and continues, "If you've lied or left anything out, however... you can look forward to spending the rest of your lives rotting in a prison cell."

Once he's gotten his answers, Ryn returns to the party and shares what he's learned.
Melaria, still a little upset over her Dragon being hurt, will listen to what Ryn has to say. "Huh, that's a lot of information, do you think they're lying? It would be weird to make up all that stuff, a lot of specific stuff too."
“Perhaps this Druid our kindly neighbor mentioned can verify this information. We should be getting directions to him presently.” Teo nudges Indio and gestures towards the young boy . “I believe you have an admirer.” He chuckles.
