As you all move into the cavernous room you reveal a few features;
- The corridor to Teo's east bends to the north after 20 ft - There is a room to the north, that looks like a room for storing goods. - At the north east, there is another corridor and set of steps, leading east. - The passage to the south leads into the forest West of Phandalin.
Indio helps Melaria out of the crevasse. "Anything broken?" he inquires. He peers around the bottom. He mostly trying to see what the creature has been eating, especially if it's been eating people or not, and how much/how many. He's also keeping an eye out for anything that seems valuable.
Tygron thinks at the creature “so which way to this Glasstaff? We can gets Yer meat after we ‘ave a word wit him.”
(9, 5)
You feel the creature probing inside your mind, turning things over, but you have a sensation that you managed to block what it was looking for. There's an annoyed grunt and then; "Down the passage nearest to me...no more information until you fetch me some food *chattering of teeth*"

There's lots of bones scattered about, some human and some animal. You also see the half eaten corpse of a human male. You don't see anything of value scattered amongst the bones, other than the chest at the far northern end of the crevasse, below the other bridge.
That sensation that is becoming familiar to the group now returns and is followed shortly by the same raspy voice, feeling like it is coming from just behind your eyes "That one...that body...*teeth chattering*...I didn't kill him...your Redbrand friend's did..."
Tygron says to the group”The critter says the wizard be down that passage up yonder. I’m fer dealin with him and then come back here to see whot this creature knows and reach a deal and see whots in this storeroom up here” Tygron moves to the bridge on the north and, checking it as he goes, crosses it and starts heading towards the passage. He nods at the strange beast as he does, but remains at the ready to attack if the creature strikes out.
Melaria will snap her fingers and have Apple appear in front of her. She'll then motion to chest and communicate with Apple telepathically. "Hey Apple, go see what's in that chest." She'll then send Apple to go open the chest that's down with her.
Ryn: Unarmed and hands visible, Ryn casually follows behind Tygron as they walk to the north.

Once behind the stone pillar, he prays the creature's abilities are based on sight as he attempts to hide.
Stealth(DisAdv - Armor): 11
Believing himself hidden, Ryn quickly sets down his lantern before drawing his spear and shield. He inhales sharply, readying himself to flank the creature.
Tygron notices Ryn’s change of stance, and gives a little smirk. He thinks at the creature “ sorry I forgots to ask.. how many peoples are with glasstaff? And how many do you wants us to bring back fer you to eat? Oh and do ye like em freshly dead- or alive an kickin?” while Trying to keep that thought string on the surface of his mind, he readies an action to shoot guiding bolt at the creature when it attacks one of the group.
The monk catches on to what his compatriots are doing. He runs through a few exercises to keep his mind blank as he watches for the creature's reaction, but he doesn't move as aggressively as the others, letting them take the fore.
The creature looks about the group as they move closer to it, and it's teeth chatter as Apple get's closer to the crate.
To you all; "Leave the chest...for now...clear this cave for me...my memories....swirling...dark...but this is my place, not theirs. Clear them out, and the contents of the chest are yours. There are bugbears and humans, I don't know how many, more than one, less than a hundred. Not many come through here. And the Wizard that calls himself Glasstaff. *A raspy noise that you guess is laughter, of sorts* He goes by another name, but you will learn that soon enough."
Then silence for a few moments, you can see the creature on it's haunches rocking back and forth watching Apple.
Then it communicates with you again; "Do we have a deal? I can let you know how to surprise Glasstaff...if you bring me his body after *teeth chattering*"

“Tell me whot you know about how to surprise glasstaff. methinks we can comes to an arrangement. Our quarrel ain’t with you anyhow“. Tygron thinks. To Melaria he says “careful me girl, this beastie seems to want to help us. Mayhap let’s give peace a chance and see whot be happenin”
Ryn: Ryn holsters his spear and picks up his lantern as he emerges from behind the pillar. He says, "We'll deal with this Glasstaff and his thugs for you. Just stay put and pick off any that might try to escape through here."
He cautiously crosses the bridge, never taking his eyes off the creature as he moves toward the entrance of the northwestern passage. He hoods his lantern and waves the others forward, whispering to Teo, "Fancy having a look ahead?"

The creature stays where it is, watching the group. Then it laughs as Ryn makes his way over the bridge; "Not that way....that way is better." pointing to the room to the north; "Search and you will find a hidden door. And you must tell me what you know of this Wave Echo...is it magical?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ryn: Ryn answers offhandedly, "Some magic cave lost to time. Don't know much else."
Unsure if he should trust the creature, Ryn waits until the party has gathered and asks, "I guess we should listen to it and have a look to the north?"
Yes, please.
