As Ryn bursts into the room he swings the glaive a little wildly, but it connects with Glasstaff's neck before he even turns his head to the door. He sits there a moment, a little stunned (11 damage). A second swing misses, possibly due to the cramped quarters and not wanting to injure an ally.
Glasstaff holds his neck, a visible welt already appearing above his ornate robes. He grabs his staff in one hand as he turns to face the group, pain morphing into surprise and into anger.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Melaria squeezes through the hallway, her back pressing against the wall and her front pressing against the bodies of her fellow groupmates. After making her way into the room, she jumps up onto the bed and takes her staff off her back. She taps it against the wall and some green energy begins to twirl around the tip. She then points it at Glasstaff and she grins. "Your magic is nothing compared to mine." A bolt of green energy then shoots out and soars toward Glasstaff.

The spell does little to protect Glasstaffas the monk dashes forward. The wizard doubles over as the first blow takes his wind, and Indio's backhand chop lands right on the growing welt on the back of Glasstaff's neck. The mage collapses in a heap.

Tygron says “Humph. Wizards. Never been impressed wit em. Look sharp though, methinks he had some bodyguards about..” He quickly grabs the staff and checks the wizard to make sure he is unconscious or dead, and looks around the room.
The wizard is out cold. He's sprawled on the floor beside the wooden chest that sits at the foot of his bed, his top half obscured by his princely ermine robe.
The staff is slender and made from hollow glass, and its glow went dark when the wizard went down. It's obviously stronger than glass, though, as it survived the wizard's collapse without a chip or crack. It only weighs about three pounds.
There's a wooden door in the wall opposite the secret way through which the party has entered. If there's anyone on the other side of the door, it's unlikely that they heard anything; the door is thick and the scuffle was brief.
Tygron says quietly- “Me gurl, Ye use one of these staffs, wants this one fer now ?” He offers the staff to Melaria. He searches the rest of the room. 8 perception.
Melaria will reach out to grab the staff, placing the other on her back. She then begins to inspect the staff to see if it comes off as anything other than just a spellcasting focus.
(Using Detect Magic, which should reveal if there is anything special about the staff, as well as any other magical things in a 30ft radius.)
After taking a moment, Melaria will look around before holding the staff tightly, she then points over to the foot of the bed and calls out to the others. "Check the chest. Might be something in it."
The monk looks at the chest for a moment, but stays in his lane. "Teo?" he says. "Why don't you take a look?" He steps over the mage's prone form and puts his ear to the door.
Perception: 19
Looking back to the group, he shakes his head. "I don't hear anything in the next room."
The sturdy wooden chest is neither trapped nor locked. Teo opens the lid and the party finds 180 sp, 130 gp, a silk pouch, two scrolls, and a silver ring etched with musical notes.
Teo divides the coins between the party members — 36 sp and 26 gp each — and looks inside the pouch.
As he examines the pouch, Teo steps back from the chest. “We will need to get someone to identify these when we get back to town. Melaria, any of these items jumping out at you as particularly magical?”
Melaria, without looking holds a hand out, palm up, motioning her fingers toward herself as if to say, give it here. ((Assuming Teo gives the ring over without problem)) Melaria, feeling the ring hit her hand will bring it to her. She'll put the ring on her finger and hold her hand out, as if she's examining it in a non-existent, bright light. "I think it looks good on me. Makes me feel like a queen bee." She says chuckling before taking it off and handing it back over to Teo. "Theres something there, but I don't know what. It's not giving me a strong aura."
Indio's eyes go wide when Melaria puts the ring on. He watches it warily, even when she removes it. "Well," he manages, "at least we know it's not cursed." He looks at it for a moment as if he expects it to turn into an angry rhino or something, then glances at the glass staff in Melaria's other hand. "I'll go out on a limb and say that this is the infamous Glasstaff," he says wryly, nudging the unconscious wizard. "So...what next? I suppose we can't feed him to that eye creature," he says with regret in his voice.
Tygron seems disappointed as well, like it would have been easier if they didn’t have the decision.” Bah… tie Im up I reckon, bring him to justice. Let’s go see if his crew be puttin up anymore of a fight. Say- if he be a wizard shouldn’t there be some books about?.”
Teo exhales sharply as Melaria puts on the ring but relaxes as she is able to take it off. He gives a knowing look to Indio and laughs at the monk’s observation.
Teo holds up the pouch and declares, “We have some pretty gems in here, including a pearl that may be enough big enough to use for spell casting.” He loads the contents of the chest into his pack, taking care with the ring regardless of Melaria’s tame interaction.
“I’d love to get my hands on a spell book, Tyg. Let’s keep an eye out for anything useful… or incriminating.”
He looks down at the unconscious wizard. “Shall we bind and gag this one? Send others in for him once we’ve cleared the remaining caves?”
