DEX 13 - so they all fail except the first!

Onu presses his attack, using the KD's glitterbomb to help him locate the foul creatures weak points.

The monk focuses in on the most severely damaged foe, kissed with glitter, within his reach. Onu catches the wererat in the side of the ribcage with his blade prior to kicking him off and allowing him to fall unconscious at his feet.

Cutting off the symphony of screeches, one of the wererat focuses in on the squealing Hamish. Licking it’s lips, the sparkling rat person launches himself at the cleric. They swipe low with a blade prior to going for their main target, his throat.

R4 vs Hamish
Attack 1: 12 Damage: 3 
Attack 2 (bite): 16 Damage: 4 On Hit: DC 11 Constitution saving throw (In Hamish’s case, he’s already infected, thus wouldn’t be required)

Sneering at Onu for the loss of his comrade, the single wererat to avoid the glitter canon decides to target him. This individual prowls forward. Taking hold of his weapon, he lunges at the monk. Hoping for an opportunity, he chomps at the monk’s limbs.

The third wererat scrambles to load their crossbow. Once bolts were in place, they unload their shots towards the cannon weilder.

Roll Call: KD and Hamish! Then Nova and Fae.

If Hal can, he'll try to make one of the hits against Onu roll with disadvantage.

(I'm 8hp down on my sheet and can't remember if that was recent or I just hadn't updated my sheet after a short rest...)

Regardless! KD throws up a shield to block both crossbow bolts, else she'd be down. She saw them coming right for her eyes and the bolts ricochet off as her energy field kicks in at the last second.

She raises her gauntlet with the bolt thrower and fires right back at the one who almost got her.

Attack: 18 Damage: 4

Hal then tries to bite more glitter.

Rend Attack: 19 Damage: 3

Dice roller seems confused, trying again?

Hamish sees his companions rush in to join him in the fight and, for an instant, feels love and pride swell inside him.  He is snapped back to the moment as the wererat bears down on him.  He dodges both attacks and his magical scales come swinging at the creature. (With advantage due to Faerie Fire Attack: 25 Damage: 12  Forgot to roll advantage: here's the second roll 6

Hal imposes himself on the rat person lunging for Onu, trying to deflect it’s bite attack.

DA reroll for R1’s Attack 2 (bite) of 15 in post #863: 13 

KD narrowly escapes her world going black thanks to her energy field. The bolts clatter to the floor at her feet. Rushing to return a shot against Onu’s target, Hal aims to get a mouthful of glitter. He successfully rends his target.

Meanwhile Hamish successfully dodges the initial attacks against him. In his efforts to exchange blows, his sparkly opponent manages to deflect his attack.

Nova’s brows knit. “Freeze pea brain!” She gestures with a flick towards the non glittered foe fencing off against the monk. 

VS R1
Attack: Frostbite Con Save DC 13 or take 2 cold damage and next attack is at DA.

R1 ST vs DC13: 3 

The druid then pauses. She closes her eyes and inhales a calm breath. Muttering something in Druidic, dust and leaves kick up, swirling around the unicorn. The spectral form approaches, and with a dip of its head, touches the worst wounds, enveloping them with a sense of comfort, as if it were a warm hug from mother nature.

On PC with lowest HP (Onu or KD?)
BA: Healing Word: 7 + 3 bonus from healing spirit

Almost echoing Nova’s call on magic, Fae closes her eyes, pulls up her hood and begins to speak softly in a delicate singsong voice. A shimmering field envelopes Onu, giving him a sense of faith, as if the shadow of a familiar protector like from his paintings, looms over him.

On Onu

Then with a familiar flick of her wrist, a bolt of fire streaks towards a foe.

Roll Call: Onu

"Onu!!  Snap out of it and hit something!" Hamish shouted while flailing wildly against the wererat.

(sorry all - notifications here dropped for some reason)

Onu reverses his grip on his blade, plunging it down into the creature who's talons cut so deeply and tore the sleeve of his favorite double-breasted suit.  Feeling the shimering field of faith surround him, the monk stands his ground and lashes out twice with his off-hand to try to bring down one of the menacing foes.

(DM Mistake = Correction: Hamish's attack did hit!)

Amongst Hamish's flailing of encouragement, he thwacks the foe before him and sets lose a tuft of glitter! Colours of light then refract around the cave as Fae's bolt of fire makes its trajectory and catches the neighbouring wererat in the shoulder.

Bolstered and focused, Onu pushes through the pain from his damaged shirt (and arm), and engages. He tears down the freeze-fried wererat, courtesy of Nova and Fae, in front of him. The ratman is unconcious before he even hits the ground with an echoeing thud. More glitter dust kicks up into the air as the monk presses his attack. He hooks round, pounding into the next target, the one in front of Hamish.

After, everything appeared to fall completely silent for about a moment. There was nothing but settling glitter in the air. Then further on beyond the groups foes, there was a cry. Two more were rats enter the room! All the echoing screeching and commotion must have garnered the attention of the last of the wererats.

Wobbly and disoriented, the critically injured wererat screeches in response to his incoming comrades. Willing to press on for the greater good, he makes his attack! The ratperson swipes at Hamish and then snaps at Onu.

The ranged ratman had reloaded their crossbolt, entirely flabbergasted at how their bolts just fell out of the air like that. They were sure hits! Jumping in on the action, they fire off two more shots. This time, they're sharing the 'love'.

The Wererat rakes it's claws across Hamish's chest and a spray of blood erupts.  Hamish grabs his chest as his spectral scales begin to spin in the air over the Wererat attacking him.  They come crashing down into the wererat hoping to finish it off.  Attack: 24 Damage: 5

Hal again tries to get in the way of the wererat who was going after Hamish (Hal reaction).

KD tried again with the crossbow thrower, and again Hal tries to go for the one near his tall friends.

Crossbow Attack: 10 Damage: 9

Rend Attack: 17 Damage: 6

Hamish’ spectral weapon rams into his target with vicious force. However, the being still barely hangs on by a thread! The wererat wobbles, trying it’s best to stay upright when KD’s bolt strikes, ending them for good.

With those targets down Hal turns his attention on the wererat with a crossbow. He charges his new target and chomps down hard on his leg, rending his flesh. Although he got a mouthful of glitter, it was worth it. The wererat was now on the verge of critically injured.

Lowest applies. 19 previous roll. If hits, Fae requires a Con check to maintain her spell.

(Fae and Nova coming up next post. Doing separate because of dice roller wonkiness. I do not trust it.) 

Fae calmly raises her hand as if to signal stop. Thanks to Hal’s attack, it’s trajectory was thrown enough to provide Fae with enough warning to react. Similar to KD’s energy field, the bolt heading for the wizard hits an invisible barrier and clatters to the ground at her feet. Exchanging a look with Nova, the pair focus their attacks to hopefully finish off this wererat before addressing the others. The druid calls upon the frost while the wizard conjures fire.

VS R3
Attack: Frostbite Con Save DC 13 or take 2 cold damage and next attack is at DA.

The ranged rat manages to avoid Nova’s elemental threat!

(Forgot Fae’s advantage. Herre’s the second roll: 18 . Even if a success, the wererat would remain standing.)

Having witnessed their two comrades go down upon their entrance, the two new arrivals charge forward without hesitation. Licking their chops, they hope to sink their teeth into some fresh flesh.

The claws from the wererat cut through his suit again, this time tearing his left sleeve to the elbow.  Bloodied, furious and focused the slender monk presses his attack - aiming to first finish off the wounded assailant before turning his attention to his new tailor.

At this point, Hamish has tears running down his cheeks and his lip is visibly quivering.

Onu retaliates against his opponents. His first attack knocks the wounded wererat down at his feet. Stepping over the body, the monk swiftly moves in and continues to press his attacks against his new tailor. Coming just short of his first blow, Onu connects on the second.

Two wererats remain, one sustaining some damage from Onu.

Roll call: KD & Ham, then Nova and Fae.

Hal moves to help Onu and once again tries to get in the way of the wererat who is most threatening him (Hal reaction).

KD does her best to put down the wererat threatening Hamish with the crossbow bolt thrower.

(I think none of the faerie fired foes are unfallen?)

Hamish cries out in fear and pain as the wererat bites into him again.  "OWWW!!  I hate this!"  He casts Toll the Dead at his attacker Wis 13 save or 9
