With her Form of Dread activated, the aspect of her 'mother' now covering her, Nevara moved towards the direction of the Ochori halfling. She reached out to grasp hold of him, still speaking, "You cannot hide from Death after seeking it out."

She made a tactical decision. Seeing the door was closed, she decided to try and open it. She charged at the door with her shoulder, her tall frame tensing for the impact.
Erbert shouts out “Ooooh!” when the dart hits his neck. He nearly stumbles, almost drops with the hit, 2 hp left. He feels some effects course through his body.

Thea watches everyone move into combat and realizes that, although sensible, most everyone seemed to be going after the hidden halfling. With multiple people now blocking any line of sight, she shifts her focus to the slime in the hope of preventing it from backstabbing the others. Her hands spread out, the thumbs touching, she puts one leg slightly in front of the other and bends her knees in preparation, then she mutters an incantation.

Shit how did I miss those... Herrena thought to herself too late as she saw more darts fly out of hidden slits within the door. Herrena was careless again as she let the assassin hit her with another poisoned dart. Feeling her muscles begin to scream in agony, she temporarily went to one knee before hearing her master's voice in her head, "Up! Again!!!" Feeling a surge of energy flow through her, she gritted her teeth as she shook off the pain and rose to her feet. Seeing Katrin struggling herself, she said to her a bit strained, "Don't let that ***hole beat you!" before closing the distance on the halfling and slashing at him with one of her swords.

By the time Iver manages to get his entire body moving, it seems like the Ochori Halfling has been taken care of. "Damn it." He runs backwards, towards the slime. Then, as he slashes at the slime with his left scimitar, he yells with hatred: "Damned Ochori!" Then, while slashing with his right scimitar, he shouts again: "And their damned poisons!"

The slime strikes true as it hurls the wave of acid over Thea's figure. She gasps in pain, an unintelligible sound escaping her throat as the fluid splashes over her, where it begins to melt away both skin and clothes. Thea staggers for a moment, gritting her teeth as she endures the burns simmering all over her body, but she manages to hold back any other outcries. The burning sensations fade only to leave behind a throbbing pain gnawing at her arms and legs, and, trembling, she lifts up a hand and extends it toward the slime in front of her. With some singed strands of hair framing her face now that the acid had dispersed her intricate braid, and a wild, angry look in her eyes, she growls "Begone you brainless abomination!"
Katrin was rather irritated she got poked twice - and not in a good way, she didn't get to use her inspiration, and to top it off, the tiny man did not meet the sharp end of her axe. She stood there, annoying, cracking her neck and letting her shoulders and back relax.
With the combined force of Erbert's blasts, Thea's cold, and the slashing of Herrena and Iver, the Ochori Blowgunner and Purple Slime each lie still, defeated in various different ways - leaving the party injured, some more seriously than others. The firefly lights flicker, bathing the battle-strewn cavern in a flickering light. Combat has ended; you are free to investigate the vicinity or return to the Zavas to collect your reward. As far as can be sensed, no creatures remain.
Since I haven't already - AREA A5 is a mess of a room. A halfling-sized bed with moldy covers lies in one corner; rotting wooden shelving and furniture which seems hastily assembled without much care - likely by one who doesn't do much woodwork - furnishes the room. Purple-and-green mosses and mushrooms give the cave a natural glow.

Iver walks towards the blowgunner's body, specifically his mask. He raises his left scimitar, and slashes down on the mask, trying to break it, and destroy the Ochori' soul for good. If it doesn't work, he tries to remember whether destroying Soulmasks required a special process.
If it matters: Attack: 20 Slashing Damage: 6. Some Int check I assume (all have the same bonus): 16.
Erbert uses the opportunity of the quiet cavern to pore through the notes once more - and while he's still reeling from the combat, he does gather some information left behind. You figure out this Ochori was sent by someone not referred to in order to disrupt the Zavas's main source of income - farming. He was reasonably successful, too, though his latest notes state a new recipe for creating more dangerous Purple Slimes was in the test phase and resulted in more aggressive slimes than usual - as such, the slimes apparently drew more attention than the Ochori wanted. You additionally find the place is relatively barren; small packs contain camping equipment - it seems the Ochori was gearing up to leave. The Zavas will be very interested in this information.
In terms of masks? Erbert can tell they are made of gnarled wood, mildewed and rotted in places and covered with lichen in others. Erbert struggles to infer anything from the masks, though he surmises magical identification may prove more worthwhile.
Iver, however, removes the Halfling's mask and decides to violently end the Soulmask - and he is, indeed, able to tell Soulmasks must be mostly intact to keep a soul in it intact as well. He strikes the wooden mask with his sword and cleanly splits it in two after the sword gets wedged in the rotting wood.
Stored in the Ochori's gear are standard alchemist's supplies, two vials of Ochori poison, and some moldy rations - along with a [Tooltip Not Found] and two [Tooltip Not Found] the Ochori used to keep watch. Ochori Poison:
A single dose of this vile substance, concocted from extract of various different herbs and noxious creatures, provides a wide variety of eclectic effects depending on the subtle nuances created when brewing. It is unreliable and volatile - the effects vary wildly. It takes an action to apply to a weapon which does Piercing or Slashing damage and remains potent for one minute. The first time that weapon hits, the target must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or suffer under the effects of one random spell for one minute, rerolling the saving throw at the end of their turns: roll 1d4 for 1 - confusion, 2 - power word pain, 3 - hold person, 4 - hypnotic pattern.
Thea gives a big sigh of relief. She stands for a moment, a tired expression showing as she rubs the palms of her hands over her face. She blinks a couple of times in rapid succession, then she turns around, not looking back at the slime a single time, and paces over to the masks clinging to the wall. Iver, however, removes the Halfling's mask and decides to violently end the Soulmask - and he is, indeed, able to tell Soulmasks must be mostly intact to keep a soul in it intact as well. He strikes the wooden mask with his sword and cleanly splits it in two after the sword gets wedged in the rotting wood.
Stored in the Ochori's gear are standard alchemist's supplies, two vials of Ochori poison, and some moldy rations - along with a [Tooltip Not Found] and two [Tooltip Not Found] the Ochori used to keep watch.
Ochori Poison:
A single dose of this vile substance, concocted from extract of various different herbs and noxious creatures, provides a wide variety of eclectic effects depending on the subtle nuances created when brewing. It is unreliable and volatile - the effects vary wildly. It takes an action to apply to a weapon which does Piercing or Slashing damage and remains potent for one minute. The first time that weapon hits, the target must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or suffer under the effects of one random spell for one minute, rerolling the saving throw at the end of their turns: roll 1d4 for 1 - confusion, 2 - power word pain, 3 - hold person, 4 - hypnotic pattern.
Thea gives a big sigh of relief. She stands for a moment, a tired expression showing as she rubs the palms of her hands over her face. She blinks a couple of times in rapid succession, then she turns around, not looking back at the slime a single time, and paces over to the masks clinging to the wall. After staring at them for a significantly long amount of time, frowning, she begins to take them off the wall, muttering to herself. "These should not be lying around like that...we should get them checked out." Once done, she crouches down on the floor and closes her eyes, beginning some sort of meditation.
Casting first Identify on the masks, then Detect Magic as a ritual to see if anything else in the room could be of interest.
