Almost. Because the walls are smooth, you won't be able to get back up without assistance or magic...so you can tell from the vantage point. But it does look like there are exits going to the paths off to the right and left on the bottom of the pit.
Your ankle twists in a way that is not designed to, and you feel a very sharp stinging pain in your right foot, making it difficult to stand and move. Half your movement.
But hey, at least you're at the bottom of the pit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yasei reaches around to her pack and pulls out her hempen rope, ties one end of the rope to one of the statues, and throws the other end down into the pit. She then proceeds to gracefully climb down into the pit with Clayton (impressing everyone with her athletic prowess: 22).
You see a hallway that leads what appears to be cramped gladiatorial cells behind iron portcullises. They are unlocked. Each cell contains what looks like a clay imitation of a Chultan gladiator, life size. There is one in each cell, and there are four cells. Each clay gladiator is holding a bronze spear in one hand, and a shield in the other. The are not moving.
You also see Yasei deftly land next to you.
The other passage is just a half circle loop. Nothing of interest.
Staring across to the mural, the snake within Shariel writhes and squirms, "What's the matter," she muses, "See something you don't like? Don't like to be exposed to the predators, little frog-god?" Slipping through, the bars, the elf takes a moment to hang over the drop, taking in the sight and envisioning the roar of a crowd eager for willing sacrifice.
In a moment of blissful reverie, Shariel releases her grip on the metal bar and falls down to the pit. Flipping head-first, she reaches out to grab the sheer wall. Her hands and feet immediately take hold and she crawls to the floor of the pit. Striding to the center, she addresses the mural and blank platform, "Leopard-God! I am Shariel, Walker of Wind and Light, Death-Wind of the Fighting Pits, and Bearer of NangNang the Grung-God. I see you two are acquainted and I am eager to reunite you both."

Clayton, wary of traps around here, will try to blow one’s hand off with a blast so that he drops his spear.

These idiots. Bree will proceed down the steps from the fighting pit, confident in her ability to sense any danger, and sure that she will meet up with the others in a moment.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Shariel follows Clayton like a shadow, "Ironic, isn't it? The day we met, we squared off in a display of prowess. Now, here we are in a sacrificial pit of a god within you who holds a powerful grudge against the one in me." Resting her hands on the hilts of her swords, Shariel leans back on her heels, "What do you say, one more round?"

As Clayton and Shariel are about to square up the gladiators - all four of them - get out of their cages, and walk into the pit. They line up, strike a battle stance, and stay still, as if waiting to be struck first.
Steel flashes as Shariel pulls her blades simultaneously and levels the first on a Clone-ton, "Howdy yourself."
(AC bonus, 2 defensive reactions, and a prepared attack. We have got to stop meeting like this.)

Maldrek leans against the bar, watching the confrontation.
"You all do know why we are here yes?" He mumbles under his breath. He cups his hands around his mouth and shouts out to those below.
"If you two kill each other I'm taking your stuff!" He will remain outside of the arena because honestly that shit looks like a trap to him.
