OOC: I suggest we break into two groups? One group heads to Jumanji Dino racing in area 2, make a load of money on betting, and then head to areas 1, 6, or 18 to purchase provisions (bug spray and dino repellant). The other group heads elsewhere to go gather information on the island and what potential destinations we should go to (maybe hire a guide?). Yasei has an average CHA (she’s stunning in her homeland, but amongst these colorful people, she’s just average), so she’d likely not be very good at chatting up the local populace to get some intel. Plus, she’s rather intrigued about this “money” and “gambling” concept, and would rather see what that’s all about.
If you do split up make me a list of who goes where. I won't remember otherwise. Also, having a group "leader" for the campaign to make the final decisions so I know when a final choice has been made, so I can push the story forward would be cool, but not required.
"Yasei!" Bree smiles charmingly at her. "That is awesome!" She pulls Clayton closer and redirects the money into his hands (her hands are too small to hold 20 gold pieces).
"So, Mal and Yasei and Bacon and I are going dino racing!" she's bouncing on the balls of her feet. "Oh, um, Miss Zephyr? Grim and dar-, I mean, Edgerin? Anything to put to the cause?" she nods at Clayton's not-yet-full hands.
"And, hey! You guys should come, too! Maybe we can hit a couple local stores and chat up some guides on the way to... Dino Racing!"

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Shariel hands over what she has: a few coins of scattered value, enough for a single person on the road, but not for a party (say, 3gp worth total?). She decides to go with the information-gathering party as she has a nack for discovering secrets and picking up local customs.
(i.e. I can be proficient in anything or any language. Not to mention a decent enough CHA to fit into most societies.)

BREE, CLAYTON, MAL, TASEI
(Dinosaur racing/Supply shopping)
FIRST: Dinosaur racing.
Port Nyanzaru is famous for its weekly dinosaur races throughout the streets, and today just happens to be that day that they're racing! What a coincidence! Dinosaurs are painted in bright designs, and their riders try to steer them along a course that winds around the harbor and the city's four hills. Spectators are seldom injured, but its a dangerous sport for the dinosaurs and their riders.
If you four would be so kind, I've uploaded the BETTING ON DINOSAUR RACES chart which shows the odds, and the payouts. The bets range from 1gp to 500gp. Choose which dinosaurs you want to bet on, and the amounts, and I will roll to see if you win or lose. The races are starting soon! Place your bets, and I will roll.
Good luck!
EDGE, SHARIEL
(Rumor hunting)
As you walk the streets of Port Nyanzaru, there is a chance you may have one of two things happen to you. You might overhear a rumor, or have a random encounter. I'm going to roll for both, and you two can react appropriately.
Rumor: Each of you roll a DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check, please.
Encounter: 6 - As you are walking down the streets, an old man bumps into you, and whispers to you: "Speak to the wise guardian of Orolunga, east of Mbala. She can direct you to that which you seek!" The old man collapses, fainting.
"Oh. My. gods. Look at them!" Bree cannot get as close to the racing dinosaurs as she would like. She immediately takes a shine to Mountain Thunder, the old, tired looking dimetrodon with the big sail on his back, painted in gaudy colors. "Oh, look at this old guy. Aw... what a trooper still out there with the young bucks. All the respect, Thunder!" she yells.
"But I'm not putting Yasei's money on you," she says so the dinosaur can't hear her.
She makes to walk past all the dinosaurs with better than even odds, "We'd be here all day making two and three gold a race."
She stops at Jungle Princess, but after watching for a moment turns to Maldrek and says, "I like her, but man that kid looks like he's gonna pop his heart before the first turn. Pretty sure the rules say you can't win without a rider."
"What's a grung?" she asks at Grung Stomper.

As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
OOC: Provided no one gets in to any trouble that shouldn't be a problem. Of course Maldrek will go with Bree. Never split the siblings.
OOC: Do we actually speak the language though? Is Common... common around here?

Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
OOC > Who has Syndra's 50 gp? I would guess Shariel, since they have a previous business-style relationship.
