The GodFetus lets out a horrific roar, alerting it's master danger is near. 

 Shariel lets out a wicked grin and unleashes a volley against Maldrek's strut.

And this is why I took this. As the beam hits Clayton, he reacts and is frozen solid. However, it is not the creature’s attack, but rather his own. Clayton has used Tomb of Levistus, which gives him 90 temp hit points that absorb all of the triggering damage. The ice fractures, and Clayton is released unharmed. Basically it’s a one-off damage absorbtion.

Despite being a Claytonsicle, Clayton use his speed to cast Sickening Radiance which is a 30ft orb centered on the god baby. It will take 21 radiant damage and 1 level of exhaustion if it fails a DC17 CON save. Additionally, Clayton will attack the strut, Attack: 27 Damage: 13 magic bludgeoning damage.
