“Well, let’s not be too hasty, I am always interested in looking at such beautiful items, maybe even find one to buy”While Celesta, Ember and the others question Mary, Kellen looks around at all of the decorative glass pieces, focusing on any pieces of small animals, as well as looking for anything out of the ordinary.
Perception: 22
“How much for the small glass squirrel here?”He asks politely, and noticing the sigh and look on her face adds “Why the sad face, has business been slow recently?”
She lets out another long sigh when Ember and Celesta say they aren’t interested in shopping, although she glances at the half orc when he mentions “the lady”. When Kellen expresses interest, Mary perks up a little. “The little animals are 30 gold pieces each. Most people don’t seem to appreciate the craftsmanship required to get their form and expression just right. They’d rather get something in gold or with gems. But glass is an amazing material to work with.”
Taking in the whole of the shop, Kellen sees just about any kind of animal, creature, or flower amongst the little sculptures, both ordinary animals like squirrels and fanciful ones that would find their home in the Feywild. There are also colorful balls hanging from ribbons in the windows to catch light. There are every size of stained glass designs from four inch square miniatures to one against a wall that is four feet square. If Kellen can imagine something made of glass, he probably sees it in this shop.
As he looks around, Mary turns back to Celesta, “Now you said something about a break-in at Tacktallows? I’m not surprised. Just the kind of thing you always expect will happen. I did see an elf leaving the shop last night. It was rather late for Frendamus to still be open, so it got my attention. I was staying late to put the finishing touches on some irises. It’s tricky to get the gold and purple just right.”

Tellior looks around the shop, admiring the glasswork. Moving over near Kellen, he says, "Now that looks like something you need to take home with you!" And then to Mary he adds, "Your shop is truly a wonder. I could spend ages here. But I'm curious, why do you say you're not surprised that Frendamus had a break in?"
Mary looks up at Tellior and responds, “Life is full of disappointments. Best to expect them. I’m only surprised that it wasn’t my shop that was burgled.” Long sigh. “Actually, now that I think on it, it’s a bit of an insult that it wasn’t my shop. But again, no surprise that even thieves overlook the value of my work.”

Tellior gives a sympathetic nod towards the satyr. "Mary, I am certain it has nothing to do with the value of your artwork here. Given the beauty of all the items here, there is just nothing that would be inconspicuous enough to not draw undue attention if it were stolen." He chuckles softly, trying to give the lady a small smile. "I take it you didn't recognize the elf or notice anything about her?"
“No, I didn’t recognize her, but I saw which way she went. She headed summerward down this main road and then turned left up one of the side roads. I could show you, although you shouldn’t get your hopes up about catching her.” She turns to Kellen, “Now that you’ve had time to think about it, I don’t suppose you want to buy anything.”

"If you could show me the way she went I'd appreciate it. Even if it leads nowhere." Tellior continues smiling, forgetting for the moment how it shows his missing front tooth. He gives Kellen a good-natured poke with his elbow. "Well? Are you buying?" he teases.
“Ah, these are truly beautiful pieces. If I was not just a humble entertainer. Alas the price is out of my reach, although they are worth every copper. Perhaps I will return when I have received my pay.” He looks sorrowfully at Mary“But, why do you think we would never catch the elf, was it the way they moved or something they did?”
Turning to his companions, he whispers “Wow, shopping in the Feywild is expensive!”
Mary lets out her longest sigh yet when Kellen says he can’t afford the glass squirrel. “You see? Nothing goes as you hope. That’s why you shouldn’t expect to find her. Not because she is particularly adept at hiding. Clearly I saw her leaving the cobbler’s in a suspicious fashion, so she couldn’t be that good. But the universe is just so likely to disappoint.” Having shared her deepest philosophy, the satyr hops off her stool and walks out onto the road. She points in the direction away from the ley line intersection where you first arrived in this neighborhood. “The elf went that way. It looked to me like she turned left at the second side road. Good luck. You’ll need it. But don’t expect to get it.”And she returns to her shop.

(Ooc. I must say, the glass shop satyr just made me laugh out loud. Thanks- I needed it. :) ).
Celesta says “Thank you for your help! I also hope one day to be able to afford such beauty- as well as a safe place to put it! Well come along everyone! The trail is not going to get any warmer!” She leads the group in the direction the Satyr pointed and around the corner.
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

As he leaves the shop, Tellior gives Mary a happy wave. "Thank you very much for your help." He then follows with the others in the direction that the satyr had indicated. Once they get to the second side road on the left he pauses to take a look in that direction. "I can't imagine we're going to find much... maybe someone might have seen the woman?" he muses, almost to himself but load enough for the others to hear.
As you leave the shop, Ember considers whether he trusts Mary’s information. Thinking it over, he can’t really figure out if Mary means every single thing she says or if it is all an act to try to ensure customers’ sympathy. He shrugs and asks Parolanta if the description of the thief is familiar to her.
The pixie responds, “All we know is that she is an elf with long reddish blonde hair and leather armor. That isn’t much to go on. I know a few who might match that description and there are probably many more who I don’t know who also match. Sorry I’m not more help.”
As you all reach the corner and turn left down a narrower road, you notice that a small crowd has gathered around a beautiful light green-skinned dryad. She is playing a wooden flute and about 6 satyrs, gnomes, and elves seem entranced by the music. Indeed the tune is quite alluring. You find yourselves stopping to listen as well.

(edit, assume that makes it). celesta recognizes the magical enchantment of the music but is able to resist it, but still is enjoying the melody. She looks at her companions to ensure none of them get charmed…
