Kellen's attention is drawn away from the music as he sees the tree attack the satyr. Watching the elves ready there bows, Kellen does the same and sends an arrow into the tree.

(OOC - Not sure if Triss passed their WIS Save or not? If they failed then he will try to continue to hold onto their arm. If they seem to recover he would let go and advance to be in line with the elves and gnomes, just ahead of Ember.)
"The dryad is trying to lure you in Triss!" Tellior makes a motion with one hand as he calls out a brief prayer to Milil to cast Ray of Frost at the Dryad. (Attack: 9, Damage: 7)
Triss is still trying to pull away from Tellior to get to the dryad (still charmed). Tellior manages to hold onto his friend with one hand while gesturing at the dryad. A beam of blue-white energy shoots at her and just hits her shoulder. She frowns but continues playing her flute. Kellen manages to shake off the charm and fire at the tree. His arrow hits, but barely pierces the bark. It doesn’t do as much damage as Kellen would expect to see against other types of foes.
The satyr listens to the dryad’s instructions to stop and is swaying in place, partly to the music and partly from his injury. When he sees Tellior’s attack, he turns and shouts, “Leave her be!” then turns to continue listening. The dryad pauses her tune for a moment, casting a spell on herself that causes her form to be covered in a rough bark-like coating. She then smiles and continues playing.
(Celesta is up and then Ember. Ember still wants to do nothing but get closer to the dryad to listen to her music. He doesn’t really understand why his friends are attacking the dryad and tree.)

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
celesta decides the Tree is the bigger immediate threat, although the Dryad is the source of it. She’s also hoping maybe fire might scare the tree- or distract the dryad .
A little owl launches from her shoulder and flies by the tree, distracting it at the same moment as Celesta shoots a bolt of fire from her outstretched palm.
”YOu shall stop this assault at once! We are here on Lady Daneliean of Hedgegrove’s business. “She yells in Sylvan at the Dryad.
Celesta sends a little owl to flit amongst the branches of the tree. (A familiar we didn’t know about? Or I forgot about? Perfectly fine in any case.) As the tree is mildly distracted, the elf sends off a bolt of fire that sears one of the branches. The bark crackles with flame, seeming to take more damage than other enemies might, and the dryad cringes with pain for a moment. She scowls at Celesta, “I will not stop until Arbo is well fed.” She then continues playing her tune. Meanwhile, Ember continues to approach the dryad, utterly confused by the conflict that has arisen between his friends and this beautiful lady.
Parolanta takes in the scene and says, “I think Arbo here is a bit too dangerous for our Hedgegrove citizens. Perhaps another shape would be safer.” She gestures, mutters a word, and casts Polymorph on the tree. (Wisdom save 6) The enormous tree suddenly shrinks down to a small turtle. “Don’t harm the turtle or it will turn back!”the pixie calls to the group.
(Triss is up. She just wants to get closer to the dryad.)
(Oops i forgot to mention the familiar. Thanks for allowing. I intended to intro after the transport, she was in her pocket dimension before- but I forgot. Quill is the owl’s name, an elf owl - which is a RL tiny owl species that’s about fist-sized)
Triss starts to move forward, closer to the dryad because, hells, that beautiful magic is still going and they need to get closer. But they're stopped by Tellior's grip on their arm. With a hissed elven swear, Triss tries to get out of their friend's hold again. "C'mon, Tell, just let me go!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Triss wriggles out of Tellior’s grip and moves past Kellen to get closer to the dryad. The tree-turned-turtle (trurtle?) steps deliberately toward the satyr and attempts to bite his ankle. Attack: 4 Damage: 1. The turtle can’t get through the satyr’s boot. One of the elves starts to laugh and says, “Dryad, we are too big a meal for your friend now. Perhaps you should surrender.” Both elves start to move cautiously toward her, ready to fire arrows should she act aggressively. The gnomes continue to pull their friend back another 20 feet or so, behind Kellen.
(Tellior is up, followed by Kellen. The dryad is continuing to play her music. Triss and Ember are still charmed. The tree is a turtle.)
Tellior sighs as he see Triss still headed towards the dryad. He moves forward, trying to keep close to them. He echoes the words of the elf in speaking to the dryad. "Yes dryad, I don't think your plan is going to work. Surrender and we shall see if we can help your tree without devouring any of the people of Hedgegrove!" He then softly mutters some words, making a motion with his hands to cast Sacred Flame on the dryad. He pauses his hands at the end though to hold the spell and only casts it should the dryad resume taking any hostile actions.

Kellen watches in surprise as the trees shrinks down to a turtle, then shifts his focus to the dryad, who he thinks is the true source of the problem. He sees Tellior trying to reason with the dryad. He figures he will let Tellior do the talking and instead looses an arrow at the dryad.
As Tellior attempts to reason with the dryad, Kellen fires an arrow that pierces her bark armor. The dryad lets out a short cry of pain and scowls at the gnome. Meanwhile, the enchanted satyr says, “My dear lady, are you okay? How can I help you?” He absently kicks at the turtle to get it off his boot. Attack: 11, Damage: 2.
His foot connects with a sharp crack sound. The small turtle flies a few feet and the explodes in size, once more a huge tree. You can hear Parolanta curse under her breath.
The dryad laughs, mutters, “Venu rubusoj” and gestures toward you all. Celesta, Kellen, Tellior, and the gnomes are immediately surrounded by a tangle of vines and plant growth that wraps around your arms and legs. (Entangle) You need to make a DC14 Strength save or be restrained.
(Celesta is up, followed by Ember. Ember and Triss are outside the area of the Entangle spell and still charmed. Since the dryad is acting against your friends, at the beginning of your turn, you can make Wisdom saving throws to try to shake the charm - DC15.)
Tellior's legs are wrapped up by the vines as he tries to pull them free. As the dryad casts her spell, he releases his Sacred Flame at her. (4 damage if fails DC 12 DEX save)
(OOC - I'm assuming entangle does not disrupt concentration on my prepared spell.)

12 celesta instantly disappears from the entangling brush, and appears a short distance away down the road. She then casts another fire bolt at rhe tree, with the help of her owl swooping by- while saying “You can’t win, and i suspect the lady will be most displeased with this violence” in Sylvan.
(OOC-didn’t manipulate- just trying to get it all in one post, my STR save was an 8 originally , it changed it, and I got a 15 to hit for 5 damage . They really need to fix this tool.
