Thaddeus strides through the audience with polite excuses and apologies as he goes, “Excuse me,” or “Pardon me,” until he can reach the front of the crowd and see what’s happening. Not being sure what’s going on he will not engage with combat but rather attempt to calm the situation through diplomacy and speak to whoever appears to be the aggressor.
”Good sir!? I say, good sir! You are disrupting our meal and libations. I’m sure we can sit down and solve this over a tankard of ale. Come sit down and let’s talk about this disagreement like civilized folk and I’ll buy the next round. What do you say?”
At the same time he reaches into his pack and withdraws his textbook and quill to take notes on any combat he may witness. 18 Persuasion
Creach will expand his doppled brown wings and jump over the spectating crowd in between the fight with both his swords out, leveled at each side, he says;
"Now, before someone gets hurt, would someone please explain who killed who and why?"
"Hey, hands off me!" Average Joe's going to try to throw off Olaerys's attempt to grab him: (Athletics: 19)
The tattooed thug, who it looks like just received a powerful punch or two to the face from the half-orc, spits blood and looks at Thaddeus with disdain. "You wan' me ta sit down an' chat wiff th' Zhent who's been killin' me mate?! Nothin' doin'!"
Creach gets in between the tattooed thug and the half-orc that just got accused of being a Zhent, swords leveled at each. "Now, before someone gets hurt, would someone please explain who killed who and why?"
The half-orc smirks and says, "Those Xannies attacked me while I was out on business, of course I defended myself."
The tattooed man yells, "The Guild knows th' Zhents took somethin' big from us! We've got orders ta kill ev'ry one ov them 'til we get it back. If yer wiff her yer an enemy of the Guild, now stan' back or we'll kill ya too!"
The plain faced Average Joe breaks free of Olaerys's hold and tries to punch him: (Attack: 13 Damage: 1)
The young looking Babyface Bennie heads up to Yagra the half-orc, breaks a bottle and tries to stab her with it: (Attack: 5 Damage: 1)
Because Creach is in the way of Yagra and Krentz, Yagra is going to counter attack against Bennie, trying to break an empty plate over his head. (Attack: 4 Damage: 3)
Krentz the tattooed man can't reach Yagra the half-orc, so he draws the mace at his side and starts yelling, "OUTTA MY WAY, IF YEH DON' WANNA GET HIT!"

“You can’t be judge, jury and executioner here in Durnan’s place. And you can’t go around busting up the joint. This should all be settled at another time, in another place. Or me and Lucille are going to have a problem with it.” Olaerys brings out his battle axe, hefting it and giving the tattooed man a hard glare.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
What was once just a fist fight where nobody would probably get into too much trouble with the law or severely hurt, has now escalated into weapons being drawn. Aran's eyes bulge at the this development. Nevermind that. He's already down here, on the ground. His belt swipe having failed him, Aran instead tries to tie Krentz's boots together.
"I don't think I'll get out of your way, no. Anyone fighting four on one thinks and acts like a wolf, and while strong and majestic creatures, they are weaker individually. Professor, I hope you're paying attention, if you take out the alpha of the pack-"
Slash with a shortsword, aiming for his arm, trying to make Krentz drop his weapon: Attack: 9 Damage: 7
"-Then the others are without a leader. They scatter-"
Creach ducks around to Krentz's back, placing another slash, in the back, trying to make him lurch forward and trip on his shoelaces that Aran has tied: Attack: 8 Damage: 9
"Disorganized, scared, and leaderless."
OOC: Sorry for escalating the situation everyone, this might have been avoided if I hadn't drawn my weapons.
Caix, seeing the battle escalating, moves in as the crowd fades back sighting maces, battle axes and swords. She crouches low and drags the two sleepy thugs (Pierre the Piercer and Scar-Eyed Scott) away from the fray securing them with her rope. Trying not to be noticed by the other thugs. The elf whispers urgently to a couple other bar patrons for assistance. "Help me get these guys out of the way so they don't get killed or trampled in the fight. We'll tie them up to avoid them getting any ideas about joining in."
Hmmn. Partial success on the spell casting as two of the pugilists were instantly disabled without injury. Yet... in the seconds since the matter has counterintuitively spiraled further out of control. Weapons are drawn and swinging and things could get bad very fast. The prudent thing to do would be to sit back down, as there is no guarantee another spell will help - and indeed could continue to push this matter in the wrong direction.
Yet... disabling the primary aggressors SHOULD work. Perhaps we just need to press on a bit further to achieve the desired results.
Sleep, again, targeting the single orc and the remaining 3 who attacked her. 23

Krentz the Tattooed Thug's perception to notice that his shoes are being tied together: (Perception: 3)
Krentz's wisdom save for the intimidation: (Wisdom Save: 1)
The way Sleep works is it affects the creatures with lower HP first, so now Bennie, Pierre, Joe and Scott are all asleep, leaving just Yagra and Krentz in combat condition.
Caix starts dragging the sleeping bodies away from the combat and tying them up.
Creach's attacks are ineffective but might have triggered Krentz tripping if he didn't notice the shoe tying gambit.
Krentz is spooked by Olaerys's axe and Creach's theatric display of swordsbirdship, and not noticing that his shoes are tied, trips while trying to back up. A stream of curses erupt from the tattooed man.

(OOC: Awesome)
Round 3: If Zimm can make eye contact with Caix and the randoms pulling the sleeping brawlers away, he will flash them a thumbs up.
Otherwise, with his spells exhausted and the desired outcome achieved - the fight reduced to 1-1 (and some intervening neutral parties) - he will saunter back to his table, feeling quite proud of himself. If the dedicated barmaid is still serving while the melee is raging, he will try to flag her down to get his next round.

Thaddeus’ demeanor changes dramatically after hearing the combatants speech. He adopts the speech and mannerisms of the common soldier and bellows at the tattooed man “What the hell is the guild and who the **** are Zhents you whoreson?! If you want to pull a weapon on me I’d hope it was in better condition than that homemade piece of shit mace. Have you ever used that thing before? Because you hold it like I held your sister in bed last night!” Vicious Mockery Wisdom save DC 13 or take 1 Psychic damage and disadvantage on his next attack.
Olaerys presses the intimidation situation forward with Krentz, glaring at him and standing over him. "Why don't you get the hell out of here before it gets rough?" He turns his head, "Durnan, do you allow this kind of crap in your fine establishment?" He turns back around and looks at Krentz, "I didn't think so. So why don't you get the hell up, untie your shoes, and run home to mommy and leave us alone. Just trying to enjoy a nice mug of beer here with my friends. When your buddies wake up we will send them along to you as well. Now run along."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Though tripped onto the floor, the tattooed man is having none of Thaddeus's wit. "You think that's th' worse I've heard, yer as dumb as she is!", he says with a scowl towards Yagra. He hastily starts trying to untie his tied-together shoes.
Yagra takes advantage of the tattooed man being on the floor to kick him while he's down (Attack: 18 Damage: 3).
Aran tries a nifty gambit, but misses the tattooed man's belt.
Creach, Thaddeus and Olaerys are still up.
Olaerys moves in and grabs Average Joe, grappling him. “Stop…right….now!”
