Seeing the bugs dying, Smudge lashes out with a Ray of Frost, targeting the creature closest to him

Sage within her rage notices the figure but the Caterpillar 10 in the corner of her eye is closer. She swings the axe down and brings it down on the creature.

Hit: 23  Damage: 17

Thasa looks out over the battleground, as Sage seems to be a raging force of destruction he decides to finish the caterpillar crawling towards the others near the entrance, drawing another arrow he shoots, looking to finish it.

Shaylin will move into the corner(1A) and fire another bolt on 3 (if 3 is dead then 4)

Zanna casts her spell but the precipitation foils her aim. er curse is cut short has a line of frost stops the creature coming for her gluing it to the floor. Seconds later it explodes in shards of sparkling ice as an arrow rams into it. 

On the other side, Sage rampages through the insects like a hot blade through butter, unstoppable. 

The hound rips open a caterpillar, sending blood and pieces flying. 

One of the insects (7) attacks Sage. 23 for 6. and misses

The others alive move to attack the hound and Sage since they are the closest.  That's 3, 4, 5 and 6 

OOC: Go for next round. 

"Good one,"  Zanna, praised the compatriots' aim. Few seconds later, and she would have been slobbered on. Praying her magick was not fickle anymore, she let loose another Fire Bolt at the nearest caterpillar.

“These are delicious , I hear. See if anyone can find some eggs when they are finished”

Smudge whips a sling from his belt and lets fly with a round at caterpillar 3

Sage looks at the insect who tried to attack her and lets out a small growl of rage, with another swing she goes for the kill.

Hit: 11 Damage: 10

Another arrow sighted Thasa takes aim against one of the group starting to press Sage (6) letting fly into the crowd.

Shaylin will take aim again with the cross bow on 3 or 4. Attack: 4 Damage: 3

The battle takes another turn as one, two then more of the caterpillars die. 

Sage slice one more. and bots and arrow finish two others. 

The spell seems to have no effect and a pebble hits Sage in the face ( 1Dam ).

The Hound finishes one of the caterpillars ( 6) and seems to finally notice you. 

Only one insect is alive (4). 

OOC: Keep the Init. How are you going to handle the hound? It is large and has a skin of hard leather looking like copper and bleeds lava. Also Sage noticed something in the cave.

Not good. Not good to have Fido the Fiery Hound's attention. "There are no caterpillars for our friend to chew on now," she muttered. Stepping back a mite, she surveyed the bleeding hound, and thought hard his kind. Surely, she had found some odd tidbit in her library. "

Walking slowly up to the hound animal handling 13 "Easy there, We mean no harm. Your masters sent us to help."

Whilst Shaylin tries to befriend the wounded beast Thasa shoulders his bow and walks slowly up to the body of the kobold elder, partly to check on him and partly to see what is in that cave a bit more clearly.

Perception 14

Sage's rage begins to slowly fade as she sees less danger about but she swiftly approaches the cave nearby where she had seen someone, "Come out." She speaks in a threatening tone, "Or else I will have to drag you out."

Intimidation: 11

 Zanna and Shaylin both start to approach the Hound but it seems weary. A low growl escapes from its throat but turns into a whine as it struggles to move. Now that the fight is ending the creature seems to be in real pain. 

Zanna though you have a hard time discerning what the hound really is you are almost sure it is a construct. But you have never read about anything resembling it. 

Shaylin the beast whimpers and goes toward you, it's still growling but its head is bowed. Though not friendly it won't attack you, you know that much.

Thasa as you move toward the lying kobold you see that a figure is hiding in the darkness. It doesn't move. The kobold is clearly dead, not from the wound of a caterpillar, (he seems to have been burned in several places) but it'll take an action to search it or to discover what happened to him.  

OOC: investigation or medicine for the body. 

Sage, an emaciated elf shuffles out. It is covered with rags and it is probably the oldest being you have ever seen, or even imagined. 

In elvish he whispers, ( insight check please for those who hear and understand ) " Help me please."  he collapses. 

Thasa is torn between going to the ancient elf and investigating the body of the kobold. He decides that the kobold isn't going to get more dead so focuses on the elf, trying to discern what is going on. Although the elf is calling for help things may not be as they seem so Thasa takes a second before rushing over.

Insight 9

Smudge fingers the dagger at his belt and narrows his eyes. He doesn’t speak elvish but his suspicions of this figure are evident in his expressions.
