Well, this has gone on long enough, Serandis thinks to herself as she rushes forward and grabs Liraes's sleeping body off the ground, and using her Cunning Action to Disengage she will return to where she came from, dagger out to the sleeping elf's throat. 

"Stay this madness or I... I... I'll... Our kinsman is still alive but for how long is up to you lot!" Serandis wouldn't kill him, not in cold blood. She wasn't a monster. She wasn't like them. She couldn't lie to them and say she would kill him when she wouldn't. But maybe she could convince them to pause this show of aggression. Maybe. "Please, you haven't gone so far to do anything that is unforgivable."

Azael raises a hand, and weapons/foci are lowered. The earth hand releases Petra as Ilyr lowers her spellbook, and Shaehas slides her sickle back into its loop along her belt.

The elven paladin gives Serandis an "are you friggin serious right now?" look and says coolly, "Now what?"

"Now you leave swearing to never return. Your wounded will stay with us, to make sure you keep your word. He will not be harmed but we will take him to where we are going. If you refuse, he will die here and no matter how strong you think you are, we might take another of you to the grave."

"I would do what she says," Serandis says with some confidence because holy sh** this worked. Worked so far, she thought to herself. They weren't out of the weeds just yet. "This needs to end now. And stay ended. Go home, brothers and sisters. Go home and forget these lands where our ways have no hold. You're foreigners in a foreign land, playing like children. Are you heroes of old? Or does the blood of Tairn run so deep in all of you that you can not see past the red in your eyes?"

She backs up a little more and gets closer to the undead they are guarding. "And what say you? Do you agree to these terms?"

Azael gives Serandis an incredulous look. "You would turn on your own people, threaten a member of the Deathguard's life...for that?" He jerks his chin at Vorik. "A creature of Mabar, a servant of the Order of the Emerald Claw? I would have expected better of one of our people." He shakes his head and slides his sword into his sheath, turning his attention to Adaliza. "I will not needlessly throw away the life of one of my operatives on this small of a mission. If you swear not to harm Liraes, and to release him when you arrive in Atur, I will swear by the Undying Court that I and those under my command will depart this village and not return."

In the back near the altar, Vorik folds his arms and nods at Serandis. "I simply wish to continue my service to my people," he rasps. "Those terms are perfectly acceptable to me."

If it was acceptable for Vorik, it was acceptable for Adaliza. "I swear not to harm Liraes, and to release him in Atur. If others agree with it as well, let's end this conflict now."

"I would defend someone who has a right to practice their own ways in their own lands. But I make this sacred vow to keep Liraes safe until we deliver him. You may not see it, but you give yourself great honor stopping these actions today. I hope that if we ever cross paths again it will be not as enemies, for I wish the best for all of you. Even in your misguided steps." Serandis will say breathlessly. This wasn't easy for her, but she felt in her very being that she wasn't betraying her people, she was saving them. And she was saving her friends as well. 

Azael simply shakes his head with a mixture of disgust and confusion, and makes a brief hand signal to Ilyr and Shaehas.

The three elves turn and walk out the door the way they came, leaving you alone with Vorik and an unconscious Liraes.

Adaliza watched them leave, waited until the door was closed and then opened up her backpack. "Good, now we need to restrain the prisoner," she produced the rope from the backpack, "and can move on with our goals. We inform the authorities about the roaming band of assassins but it would take some time and I am not sure the help will come in time. They might come back faster than expected. Revered Vorik, is there any way to protect you from these people? Maybe we can take you somewhere safer?"

Adaliza is not the most skilled prisoners-binding-wise, so, anyone with better Sleight of Hand is welcomed to try it.

Citron floats back in to the room muttering under his breath.

Sees the unconscious Liraes and decides to search them and relieve them of anything 'dangerous' such as weapons or coin.

"I cannot leave this town," Vorik rasps. "However, from what I know of Aereni, an oath by the Undying Court is one they will absolutely hold to, even if they can circumvent it. Sending any other operatives here to get around the promise will take them time, and they are far from home. If you can inform the authorities at the Crimson Monastery in Atur of the situation while you are there, I suspect they can send assistance with plenty of time to spare. And now that I know I have been selected as a target for the Deathguard and the immediate threat has been handled, I can take my own precautions."

Argent, gimme an Investigation to find everything (stuff like the glaive and such will be default, but I'll give you everything in a block to make my life easier lol)

Citron finds Liraes's glaive, which is etched with runes and clearly magical, as well as his breastplate. His silver gloves glow slightly and are also clearly magical. There is also the silver skull mask, which doesn't look magical, but is the only other thing of note the fairy finds.
