Case reacts with a flick of his metallic wrists, and a shield of force temporarily shimmers in front of him, deflecting both blows. Shield as a reaction.
"I believe you have erred in your decision making."
He swings his mace at the man, the mace bursting into magical flames as he strikes.
Attack: 14 Damage: 6 + 6 fire damage from Searing Smite and he is lit on fire. (At the start of each of its turns until the spell ends, the target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 1d6 fire damage. On a successful save, the spell ends. DC 13 Con save.)
Drego takes a deep breath and steadies his arm, focusing his concentration on the frozen Spy, studying him intently while muttering under his breath 'meus et tue, puto'

The spy, seeing that Jax is in a uniquely vulnerable position, attacks the stunned barbarian both times with his daggers before trying to target Drego with his Stunning Gaze.
Attack: 26 Damage: 7
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
As Jax's rage is at an end and he no longer has resistance to piercing damage, he has vulnerability to the damage from the daggers...which means if I hit, you take double what I rolled.
DC 14 Wis ST from Drego or he is stunned until the end of the spy's next turn.
Jax is no longer stunned.

“Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then.”
Jax did take damage since his last turn, I believe, so I don’t think the stun would end his rage?
Flying around the stranger, PM finally remembers to put a Hex on them! (Disadvantage on charisma checks, cause why not?) The dragon then flutters up higher and spits down a Fire Bolt upon them…
Fire Bolt Attack: 18 Damage: 9 plus 6 necrotic from Hex
OOC: Jax did not take damage since his last turn. He took his turn, and the spy targeted him with Stunning Gaze while trying (and failing) to stab Case. Then Jax was stunned on his turn, meaning his rage went down.
Pieste Mor unleashes a draconic roar while fluttering above his kill, and looks down both ways of the alley for possible reinforcements, authorities or the like…
Drego moves swiftly past the spy's crumpled body as the barbarian shakes it, peering past their foe for anyone else who might be following close, or anyone who might have noticed the mayhem.
Case looks down at the body. "I did inform him that he'd made an error in his decision making." He glances at Jax, "We may yet save his life and enable us to question him if you would be so kind as to...gently place him on the ground."
Assuming Jax puts him down, Case will attempt to stabalize him: Medicine : 9
Pieste Mor would turn and spit an Acid Splash between the attacker and Case, or at the attacker if not enough room to be sure to be between the two.
“…one does not simply revive a foe who has attacked without warning,” the dragon explains. “…they would likely awaken and try again! …at the very least bind their hands first, and cover their eyes so they cannot try whatever mind games they were trying…”
“…but best course of action is to just devour their bones and brains and absorb their knowledge biologically…”
"Does anyone know who this was? Or why they knew where we were?"Jax says, memory of the last discussion the group had about the Emerald Claw fighting its way through the mists in his head.
He absentmindedly covers up a freely-bleeding dagger wound with a thumb.
Jax will help investigate by positioning the dead attacker like a rag doll. It's the best way he can think of to disrespect them after being stunned and spitted.

DC 14 Int save, 8 damage.
Case misses.
If by Frozen you mean the Rime thing, Rime does not grant you advantage, it reduces the spy's speed to 0. However, Drego still hits.

Yup - no worries - wasn't sure if speed 0 = restrained, which should give advantage, thus the two sep rolls :)
Is that Str roll from the walloping xbow? If so that means he's prone for Jax - should give advantage for the melee?
Jax WIS save: 10
Jax is stunned for the round (does this end his rage if he does not take damage?)
Jax's rage is indeed at a current end.

As Jax picks the spy up, he discovers the spy is very, very dead.
Shaking the man, you successfully dislodge both his daggers and a ring from one finger.
Drego notices nobody else who seems to have noticed the scuffle or also be following you.
