Case looks for a nice place to sit that has a back to the wall, and can see both the hall and/or stairs to the rooms, and the front door. He intends to get a drink and sit down, and just.....sit there all night.

The dragon crawls into Jax’s backpack before they enter. “hmmm, order me some snacks,” they suggest with a snout just barely poking out the flap. “…and a drink.., and a meal… and see if they have…” it goes on like that for a bit until they’re inside and around others.
For the most part, Péiste Mór hates taverns. Inns. And large crowds in general. Oh they do fine when trying to order them to stand down, like earlier… but social situations? Bleh. People generally find Péiste Mór something to be wary of or worse, something to be cuddled or petted or cooed at. The indignity of hiding in a backpack is much more acceptable than that!
Drego follows Jax into the Inn, noting Case casing the common room, looking for the best place to position himself for the night. The ranger finishes a similar scan and sidles over to the Warforged 'There' he indicates a booth near the back with clear sightlines. 'That's going to be your best bet. I'll get the rest of the crew organized for a regular watch, but having you here in the main room would be a comfort. '
The ranger lifts Stitch from his back and sits him down on the bench next to the Warforged. "Stay here with Case while I get us a room for the night. Don't wander off or get into any mischief ok? It's been a long day and you need some sleep'
With that Drego turns and joins Jax's inquiry into rooms for the night.

With that Drego turns and joins Jax's inquiry into rooms for the night.
Stitch nods in understanding and looks around the room for shinies... Unable to help himself.
Stitch: There are tons of shinies in the room, from glasses that reflect the firelight to jewelry on different Karrns, to the weapons all the taverngoers carry, mostly small blades.
Jax--I'm going to assume you approach the halfling at the bar.
The haflling woman looks up at Jax and Drego with a friendly smile as the pair make their way over. "Why hello there! I'm Lady Virian d'Ghallanda, proprietor of the inn, and what can I do for you today? A meal, rooms, drinks--all of the above?" She laughs.
When Drego turns away, leaving the goblin in his care, Case attempts to reach out and grab Stitches collar, which he intends to keep a hold of until Drego returns.
All the above if they're on offer, gentlewoman.' Drego inclines his head and uses his best manners, he's found that making friends with tavern owners can be both pleasurable and profitable. We've come at the Warlords' request, and he directed us to your fine establishment to seek refuge from the night and a bit of refreshment for our bodies and souls.' Looking back at the party, Drego makes a quick count 'I believe we'll need 3 rooms and food and drink for five, mi'lady'
(Okay, so I'm gonna say Stitch is probably grappled rn lol. Though if he also nat 20s his escape, it'll be down to higher mod)
"Ah, Geron sent you over." Virian smiles. "Then it'll be a galifar and five sovereigns for rooms and food for the night and morning. Order whatever you want from the menu." She gestures to the illusory menu hovering behind the bar and hands out five small wooden blink dogs. "Those're your food chits for the night, hand 'em back in the morning. I'll know if you try to keep them." She grins and takes out three keys, each with a number engraved at the top, and sets them on the bar. "Your rooms'll be up the stairs and to the right. And there'll be someone at the bar all night if anyone needs something."
"Thanks." Robin says with a nod. She takes one of the food chits and one of the keys. "I am going up to drop off my packk and stuff, be back down in a couple minutes." She then heads upstairs.

Unfortunately for the diminutive goblin child it seems as if Case was programmed for keeping children from getting into mischief. He turns and glares at Case until Drego returns.
Drego turns back from the bar to find Stitch hanging limply in Case's iron grip. Shaking his head, the ranger approaches the pair and addresses Stitch first, in the tired voice of a parent scolding a child after a long day 'I told you to stay here with Case, but it looks like he had to keep you from sneaking away? Let's get some food in both of us and then we can turn in for the night ok?'
Turning to the impassive Warforged, Drego continues 'Thank you for your help and your vigilance, this 'lil one can get into some serious mischief when left to his own devices. I've been trying to teach him to channel his considerable skills, but teaching restraint...... well that's been almost impossible.' As he speaks, he sits and begins spreading out his cloak on the bench next to him, quick practiced movements, rolling, folding and gathering the cloth to create a makeshift bed. Once finished he reaches over and takes Stitch from Case's grip 'I've got him now, you can let go' and settles the gobbo down into the folds of the cloak. 'Rest your head here, I'll order us some food and you eat what you can ok?'
Case nods to Drego, "I attempted to apprehend the child before he had a chance to make mischief. There is no guarantee he would have attempted to slip my grasp. If he did attempt to, it was feeble. Perhaps your teachings are having some affect. You should feel a modicum of pride. I will rest now."
Case sits back against the wall and just....stops moving.

Stitch points at the nearest shiny object (doesn’t really matter to me what it is), “I am Stitch.” He states matter of factly clearly trying to indicate that he just wanted to look at it. He then repeats his one line in a monotone resigned manner when Drego mentions eating and going to sleep.

At the word ‘mischief’ Stitch’s ears perk up and he looks over to Drego to see him preparing his makeshift bed from one of his cloaks and immediately begins to calm down and relax. Letting out another large yawn as Drego takes him from Case. Stitch spins in circles on the makeshift bed a few times. Looking for just the right spot. He fluffs up one side of it, (The side closest to Drego) to be more bunched up and pillow-like and then lays down. Trusting his companion to keep him safe and move him to a room later, he falls asleep.
Jax nods and then heads to the table, and asks PM, "you usually handle the money, so can you count what we have and what these new people have, and I will eat while we settle up?"
He joins the others at the table, orders actually several things from the menu, including drinks, and decimates each plate. He makes amiable conversation around bites, and when he is done, he pulls out a pipe and absentmindedly smokes it.
After much maneuvering and shuffling around inside of Jax’s backpack, Péiste Mór finds the coin needed and slips it out of the flap for Jax so he can pay for their share of room and board.
As Jax eats, the dragon continually stage whispers and hisses for the elven Barbarian to feed them too, prompting Jax to continually and surreptitiously slip food into his backpack… as well as likely get some odd looks from others due to his talking to his seemingly shifting bag… alas, Péiste Mór can eat a lot for their size but that still doesn’t say much. The dragon is soon sated and happily naps inside the backpack, the occasional puff of smoke escaping it to rise up and join those of Jax’s pipe.
The six of you attend to your evening activities and head to bed. The next morning, you all rejoin down in the common room, have breakfast (if you wish), and get ready to begin your day.
OOC: Alright, so you can hit that long rest button! Are you guys headed straight to the northeastern fields, or doing something else first?
The smoke from Jax's pipe forms vague shapes in the dim light. Monsters. Large toothy mouths and eyes. Huge axes mowing down fields of wheat. A shifty creeping figure, cut down from behind. J
ax doesn't notice it, humming happily to himself. When it comes time to pay, he fumbles different varieties and amounts of coin from pouches, pockets, and socks to slowly accrete onto the table, and hopes that the proprietor is good at numbers. He thanks PM for his help in checking his math.
When reconvening, he is ready to set out for the fields first thing in the morning!
"I say we go and have a look at these fields, and see if this compass can point us in the right direction." Robin suggests over breakfast. "Seems like our best lead at this point."
