Shaehas looks at Azael. "We both know the dragon isn't a civilian," she says flatly, green light wreathing her body as she shimmers and transforms into a massive black bear. It roars at PM and lashes out with claws and fangs.

Azael looks at Ilyr's currently dead body, and his face changes slightly, becoming colder and settling into a grim mask. "Retreat," he orders the other Deathguard. "We need to get the body home." He glances at Case, eyes icy. "We have committed no crimes even by this country's own laws. Hinder our departure, and we will stop striking for unconsciousness." Blade still at the ready, he moves Ilyr's body onto Shaehas-bear's back and stands ready to lash out at anyone who attacks while his people retreat.
Azael is Readying the Attack action should either of his still-alive people be attacked while they retreat.
If PM wants to retain his grip on Ilyr while the wizard is being moved, he can make a Dexterity or Strength saving throw.
Drego is happy to let them retreat and pull back, nodding as the elven warrior speaks and calling out to PM 'Let go of their friend, this fight is over.'

((Not sure what the DC to hang on was but... Kind of out of turn to move but as part of trying to hang on, if possible, PM would try to use their "Fey Passage" trait to squeeze through narrow places to try to slip into the corpse's clothing and try to basically hide under it?))
That is sufficient to hold on. If you want to Hide or move, it'll have to be on your turn, sorry! But they do know you're there right now, you weren't exactly subtle with your arrival lol

We are not officials, or part of any law enforcement group, in this country. We are meerly concerned people helping the lawful leader of this village." She glances to the elfs. "You have broken laws here and we will be reporting you to the officials. I would suggest you leave the country and return home."

Jax felt Azael's blade hit him twice, and felt a terrible sense of deja vu as he fell unconscious. Almost like...you've been here before. Falling to a Deathguard's blade. The blackness of unconsciousness splinters into dozens of velvety black feathers, and a female voice, rich and dark with power, sounds through his head. "NOT. YET. YOU SHALL NOT. RETURN. YET." And then healing energy flows through him, and he wakes up.
"...oh, you're leaving?" Pieste Mor asks in mock surprise. "...one does suppose your friend here does look a little under the weather... do please feel free to call on us again if you need another lesson in hospitality..."
With their kind words of goodbye, Pieste Mor flaps their wings and moves up and off the corpse his playmates were carrying away. As a bonus action the dragon converts one of their level 1 Spell Slots to a Sorcery point...
Drego keeps his crossbow leveled and tracking the elves retreat, but reaches down and scoops Stitch up with one hand, pulling him up onto his back to be ready to move quickly once the elves have cleared the area.
Stitch sees the dead elf being carried away and his eyes begin welling up with tears as he tries to heal them from afar.
(I know it probably won’t make any difference because the mechanics say he’s dead. But stitch doesn’t know that and I’m marking off a spell slot anyways. 😊)
Jax's grey, cloudy eyes widen in their rage as he is shocked by something. Something that stops his rage cold. The elves departing, people stopping fighting them. He turns to Stitch. "I heard... was that your... what is..."he says, trailing off. He scratches his head with his hand still holding his weapon, and watches the elves and the bear (?!) go. "Pieste Mor, did they know me?"
The dragon quickly turns to look at Jax, puzzled, then flies over to land and perch upon his shoulder. “Know you?” He asks. “We’ll we did all meet at the inn. And then again when we stopped them on the streets…”
While watching Jax closely, PM begins to him a soft, gentle tune as quietly as he can, but right next to Jax’s ear…

Drego slings his hand crossbow back into it's holster and lowers Stitch to the floor, quickly checking him over for any obvious signs of injury. Once he's sure the little gobbo is ok he grabs them firmly by the shoulders and looks them in the eye 'Buddy, these guys are not our friends. They would have hurt us, maybe killed us to get to the Mummy here. I know you did't want to fight them, but maybe don't heal them next time ok?' A hard look and then a slight smile, 'If you wanna heal someone, go check on Jax, he looks rough'
Turning to look at Robin and Case the ranger speaks again 'I'm going to see if I can pick up their trail so we don't get surprised again - make sure the little one doesn't go wandering off?'
With that, Drego follows the elven line of retreat, attempting to stay in the shadows, but more interested in learning what he can about how/where they went.

Then he reaches down and grabs Stitch's hand before the creature can run off. "Thank you for your assistance during the fight young man. Your assistance may have been the difference between life and death." He holds onto his hand firmly, trying to prevent him from wandering off.
Finally he turns to the Vorik, "We can not stay and guard you indefinitely. They may make another attempt. Do you have any soldiers or guardians you can call upon to protect you longer term?"
