Case turns to Drego, "I attempted to --shrug--....in order to enhance my body language and communicate more effectively. Using numbers from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best, how would you rate my use of the --shrug--?"

“…very good then!” Pieste Mor replies to the bartender. “…please put our breakfast tab on their account then, as they’re the ones whisking us away!”
The dragon then settles atop Jax’s backpack, head upon his shoulder looking forward. “…we go with them, then…” he says quietly to Jax and shrugs despite it being in his periphery vision, at best.
“…did you know we were attacked by ghosts? we would show you the bodies, right in our lodgings here… but they were ghosts…” Pieste Mor says conversationally. “…was quite surreal…”
“It was a fine shrug, Case!”Jax says, clapping the cleric on a shoulder in a hearty and sincere manner. He heads off with the monastery soldiers, trying to think of any past dealings he’s had with them before. He asks PM quietly if they have had any past dealings with them, quietly, as they walk.
Drego smiles a bit at the barbarian's enthusiasm. 'It was a very good shrug indeed my friend, a solid 4. You've still got some work to do on the timing to make it feel more natural - but you'll get it soon enough!.'
The group follows the three guards towards the massive ziggurat in the center of the city. The guards head through a side door and lead you through a maze of hallways. However, the room they bring you to is no office, you realize as you step inside, but a small storage room. And just like that, the door clicks shut behind the last guard, and they all draw blades.
@Books - can you give us a sense of the room? Rough dimensions, is there any cover available? I assume all egress/ingress points are covered? No windows or other doors? Nothing that requires a skill check, just a general sense of the room.
OOC: Absolutely, Dire! The room is about 20 feet by 20 feet, with the edges populated by boxes which you could use for cover with a successful Stealth check. No windows and one door, which currently all three guards are in front of.
(Since PM seems to be acting at least close to first…”
“…not the most enticing of waiting rooms,” Pieste Mor points out and casts Faerie Fire such as to highlight the guards but not their own companions… “…some light, at least…”
Fluttering back to the furthest, highest corner, Pieste Mor will then… wait.
(OOC: I would prefer for people to wait to take their turns until I post initiative order, unless there is a concrete reason to post now, like a lack of availability later. I am currently still waiting for Jax's initiative :D)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Initiative Order: PM 19, Guards 19, Jax 18, Drego 14, Robin 12, Stitch 7, Case 1
Guards Dex STs: 18, 7, 18
Since PM just popped a spell on them, one of the guards switches to crossbow and goes for him, while another draws a longsword and shortsword and goes for Stitch, and the third does the same and goes after Drego.
Case steps up next to Jax and the warrior, and uses his action to shove Stitch backwards away from the warrior, interposing his body between the two. To the warrior he says, "Pick on someone your own size." A shimmering force ripples over Stitch protectively as he's shoved backwards.
(Action: Shove action on Stitch, presume he doesn't resist, but check in case he does: 21. Bonus Action: Shield of Faith on Stitch.)

Jax snarls at the shocking betrayal. He flies into a rage, and rushes at the guard attacking Stitch, blade flying.
Attack: 8 Damage: 11

On a hit, the target has disadvantage on any targets not-Jax.
