(Round 2)
The dwarf hesitates a moment, seeing multiple injured comrades. But as all are conscious, he steps out from cover enough to be within 60 feet of the monster. Raising his voice to the heavens, he calls upon divine magic, causing the sound of a clear bell strike to ring out. He directs that energy towards his foe. If he has any chance to dive back into cover afterwards, he does so.
"Lassie, if'n ya got any tricks up yer sleeve, or even a slingshot, now's the time!" he cries to the woman in the tower.
(Cast Toll the Dead, WIS save DC 14, damage 9 ) (necrotic)
As the manticore flies off Zal looks down at his leg and the spike protruding from it. He grabs a bandage from his bag and ties it around his leg to help stem the flow of blood until Skorli can attend it.
With a groan that sounds like a squeak, Brikabrak dislodges the spike from his abdomen. Blood gushes out of the wound for a moment before he places his hand on it and mutters a holy phrase under his breath. The blood flow slows to a halt as the wound stitches itself back together - nothing left to remember it by except a blood-soaked hole in his poncho and a small patch of fresh underbelly skin. (Brikabrak casts cure wounds on himself) Healing: 10 Brikabrak watches the beast for a moment before turning to his compatriots. "I can heal wounds. Who needs aid?"
“I didn’t realize you were a healer as well…. My leg seems to need some attention if you are willing,” Zal says with a forced smile as the pain from the spike starts to make its way through the receding adrenaline rush now that the fight is over.

"Ugh, this is bad. I think it got the bone. Lemme just have a look here..."He puts a hand on Zal's leg and speaks some words of power. The jagged wounds left by the spike stitch themselves back together but leave you feeling slightly sapped of energy. (Brikabrak casts cure wounds, using up his final spell slot)
Healing: 4
Brikabrak's tail twitches sporadically after channeling so much energy and he yawns. "It leaves me feeling tired too..."
By the time you have all healed and taking a breath after the fight, the manticore has flown out of sight. You see the old woman you were sent to meet looking out of the windmill clapping her hands. She yells out "thank you for driving off that beast, what brings you to Umbridge Hill?".
“You do, good woman, well met and you’re welcome. We were tasked with asking you to temporarily relocate to the town what with the dragon in the area and all…..”
She continues to speak from the top of the windmill, "oh, I had not heard of a dragon. I should come back that might be a good idea". You watch how she leaves your few and exits from the front door about 20 minutes later. She pulls a wheelbarrow filled with baskets of medical supplies and even a few potions filled with red liquid. She looks at you Zal, "now as a token of gratitude I will allow you to keep this", she hands Zal a bottle of the red liquid. "Now are we heading back to Phandalin now?".
