"Yeah" Harmony had said, nodding back and relieved that they took care of this problem for the Ranik. So she will help and assist with any investigating.
Other than babying her hand a bit, since she wasn't sure whether it had really taken any damage or not, Aisha sat back, far less 'ritualistic' or 'pious' than Garu seemed to be, though if she insisted - much to Tsavi's chagrin- Aisha offered up the panthers services in digging. Once any such investigations were done though Aisha began to ponder something.
Aisha had been too afraid to send Tsavi in the last several occasions, fearing the panther might come to harm -knowing that neither her nor the panther had a great physical frame- and Tsavi would have been useless as anything more than a snack in this situation. As much as it Chagrined her to admit, Aisha may need to seek a new partner if only because she loved Tsavi enough to not want her to die in a single hit....
They said the slimes werre their only rrreal issue. Unless we missed some, that seems like that was it. We should go back and let them know the danger has passed and seek shelter under their roofs for the night. In the morrning, we can ask questions and see if they have any information on our real goal herre.
she says, suggesting the group head back, with her leading the way.
The pious burial does not take long; with the help of the T'savi, the small spaces required to contain the limited remains of the Ranik are quickly turned over. The skies are much darker when you return to the Ranik village, but the same hues of deep purple are cast across the horizon. The village is eerily quiet, with the froglike villagers apparently shut into their homes. However, as you pass a few of the houses, doors and windows begin to open.
Dozens of Ranik leap out of their homes, croaking in apparent excitement as a few of the familiar faces you had spoken with meet you in the center of the village.
"We were afraid. That you had met. The same fate. But when the ooze did not come. We had hope," the Ranik man who had explained the situation to you earlier in the day speaks.
After receiving your report, he replies, "We have gathered. Your gift. Of course you may stay. Tonight, and again if you wish. You have our thanks."
The pouch that he empties contains fifty gold pieces, along with a small sculpture made from cuttlefish shells.
OOC: Added 16 gp to each character's inventory. There are 2 gold pieces and the art piece left to be claimed.
You can ask any questions you'd like to the Ranik, and I will resolve those in my next post along with the next day, provided nothing interrupts you throughout the night's rest.
The moment rest is mentioned, Aisha almost palpably shifts in a metaphorical sense, like when someone carrying a great weight is finally relieved of it, and her expression and demeanor sag with exhaustion. T'savi offering a shoulder to keep her kneeling at the very least. Aisha herself was still awake, but only vaguely. Aisha is sorry to say but the other rranik unintentionally invited theirrr own deaths. The .. things did not attack until they were touched. They were lurred by these coins... she said, producing atleast one of the coins, having grabbed it before the party left, for just this situation.
But yes, the fight was over quickly, if only because of our magics. We're glad you are safe. Aisha is... tired. But Aisha has questions. Wheterr you believe us or not, we are apparently chosen to fight some great powers, and... have already defeated two.. maybe three? she says, her confidence in the number fusing with her exhaustion and birthing some minor uncertainty.
We had severral visions since...she says, recalling her own personal visions, and the most recent ones they had, as well as what the deities had told them in person. (Sorry, i'm tired and can't quite look them up at the moment) So we were wondering if anything we just told you sounds even the faintest bit familiar, even if only one part told in fables, or .. whatever.
Her body slumping into dead weight as she collapses from exhaustion, passing out entirely. Those who had been with her since the beginning would remember that she was initially spritely, full of vigor, and energetic, a bit frustrated, and angry but as time went on her appearance had become slowly, but surely bedraggled. She had been pushing herself almost nonstop (And by proxy, pushing the party) to focus on the grand scheme, if only because she wanted to save her sister - even if that meant she had to 'deal' with this situation she found herself in.
She had been pushing her limits, even when she was resting properly, and it had finally caught up with, and overpowered her, as she passed into a deep sleep. Though her chest still rose and fell, proving she was still alive, but the poor, stressed cat needed some rest...
This is all intended to be in character, not asking for a pause! But I have somewhat been building up to this!
Harmony smiled, hearing the Ranik as they gave their thanks and said that they could stay the night. "Of course it's no problem at all. Thank you for this gift and letting us stay the night." she said back to them, glad. But then she was listening to Aisha, nodding in agreement and soon shocked at her sudden collapse. "Aisha!" she said, worried and realizing how tired she must have been. Harmony would ask the Ranik to escort them to a hut where they can stay the night, helping Garu with carrying Aisha to where they would be resting. Unless Garu says otherwise, she will take the sculpture.
Garu helps get Aisha to a place to crash, ensuring she is comfortable and nods as Harmony takes the sculpture. Then Garu will find a place to get comfortable and doff her armor to get ready for a rest.

The Ranik listen in earnest to Aisha's explanation, but at the conclusion of her tale of the party's visions, they gaze with their heads cocked curiously to the side, an apparent sign of Ranik confusion.
"We are sorry," the Ranik speaker says. "I have heard some. Of these names. But many of us. Have never been. To Rikirta. We do not know much. Outside of our village."
He pauses even longer in his lilting speech and gazes to the east, parallel to the mountains. "There is a portal to the east. To Rikirta. But we have not gone. Our trade has paused. For many years. It is not far. But it has become dangerous," he explains.
The night is peaceful and quiet, after the excited Ranik conversation dies down. Through the early evening you can hear bits and pieces of hopeful longing that their land can be reclaimed and their harvest recovered in time. Soon, you dream vividly below the purple skies.
OOC: What are your characters dreaming of during this night? To keep us moving, we can handle any more conversation with the Ranik and the events of the night in parallel. If you have anything else to reply or ask of them, please post that along with the dreams that each of your characters are having.
Harmony was sleeping peacefully that night. She dreamed that they had found and stopped Kayel for good, finally saving all of their worlds. There was a big whole celebration taking place afterwards where all of them were happily together and reunited again, her performing spectacularly for everyone. Then finally she would be able to go back to her home world, taking what she has learned here and becoming as big of a celebrity and a hero there too.
Aisha's dreams were disjointed. Not nightmarish, but they seemed to have no true connection. Just events happening, only for the scene to change. Aisha saw her sister in what seemed like a memory. Though they weren't enamored with eachother, there was clearly platonic-love there from both siblings as Aisha remembered when they both went hunting for the first time, the rush of the forest... and as she blinked, she found herself in waterdeep. The place was strange to her, a creature who had known only huts, small houses, and tribal life, and it was there that she met the lady who would make her enjoy looking as beautiful as she could, and just as the first shampoo washed over her head-hair, she was in a tunnel.. no... a passageway, seeking the last thing she had in the world of Toril, before being forced into this crusade... remembering all the events that led up till this point, as a disjointed flash playing back at breakneck speed and then just silence, blackness, and nothingness.
Garu lays on the rustic bedding. Her eyes peer into the darkness waiting to grow heavy with the day’s fatigue. Her mind begins to draw her back to the simplicity of being in the rice fields, the the sun warm on her fur, and going over her teachings of the day. “Tylyn’s Light”, she murmurs as she nestles into the fond dream.

Dozens of the Ranik are scrambling through the fields, harvesting rice and holding it to the sky in celebration, cheering the apparent miracle.

Harmony woke up, having gotten a restful night's sleep as she heard something going on outside. So she went to check it out, very surprised to see all the crops and how happy the Ranik are right now. "This is great! It must be because of how we took care of those oozes yesterday. Hopefully this is a sign that we're on the right track and will succeed with saving everyone." Harmony spoken, believing that with the dream she had last night to now this miracle, it must mean that they will be able to stop Kayel and bring peace to all.
Aisha woke up a while after the others. Groggy and feeling stuffed in every cranial passage. The celebrations going on outside, but unlike the other two she was more wary. Walking out to meet the others, she says flatly Aisha thinks this is grreat and all... but... unless Aisha was out for farr longerr than she thinks, there is nyo way that such a thing would have happened so quickly. This one hopes she is wrong but considering what we'rre up against.... it's better to be pessemistic. she says, before going to the Ranik themselves to ask 'how long' the group had been 'out' as well as how this all came about.
The Ranik themselves seem just as confused as Aisha about how this came to be, but two things quickly become certain: The party has only slept through a single night, and all of the sugar cane that had been planted (and destroyed by the oozes) has been seemingly replaced by rice fields overnight. Most of the Ranik seem to be taking it as a miracle; a gift from the afterlife by those Ranik slain by the oozes in the past tendays.
OOC: Ready to advance once an action is taken by the party. It has been awhile since we arrived in the Ranik village so let me know if a refresher is needed on anything.
