(The giant tracks very clearly come from Neadle's Peak, and the village that you're after should be a little farther North than the range in which Neadle's Peak lies, and a couple of the others dot the landscape nearby.
Farther East, in the direction the giants are headed, is the coastline and the town with the deep gash through it
To the West is the farmland that was scorched
and North is to Neadle's Peak and where the original report of this being the work of an airship came from.
Aurelius votes for North to Neadle's peak. "I, too, worry for Drakeriver. I wonder if we left Snowball's collar here, could we use it to deceive the giants again somehow? Or as bait to lure them into some sort of trap? Also, I wonder if it is time to wake up the drake...."
"Yes, I agree with Rahkeshi, we have an obligation to the other settlements as well. We´ll just have to hurry up." Elyria says and looks to the others.
(OOC: Well, no long resting in a while it seems ;-)
(Could we get an indication of time of day? Left early morning, found village, then likely a fair amount of time with the pyre. I'd thought late afternoon? We travel until just before sundown perhaps? We were up well before dawn after all.)
Bryant nods in agreement. "North as we initially intended makes sense. My only concern is if the giants should happen across some villagers, it is widely known who killed that beast. I suspect it won't be long before they come back looking for us. We best be ready we should move quickly"

Having decided to continue north (assuming that's what we're doing!), Rahkeshi walks along keeping rather quiet. She seems wrapped in her own thoughts. However, now and then she fiddles with the bracelet of thorns now encircling her wrist.
(Rahkeshi too hopes Lilianna did not get lost in the traveling, like it seems Sinver may have.)

Elyria dobles back to the others. "Aelric has spotted an owl and a bear, but I fear it may be a bad mix of those. Be ready." She says to the others, and turns to cautiously approach the area where the ´owlbear´ was spotted. Stealth:26 Perception:24
You are incredibly silent, however, the beast is not. Crashing through the underbrush, tumbling towards you, approaching ever closer, out crashes a tangled mess of feathers, talons, claws and teeth, and stops just short of you, untangles itself, and reveals itself to be, a small black bear and a horned owl.
You have just enough time to slightly lower your guard before a glistening beak crashes down and swallows the beasts whole. The monstrosity's three tails whip behind it, as it seems to phase between two places, it's muzzle dripping with fresh blood, and teeth and claws glistening, preparing to strike
(OOC: I seem to have taken a dark lean into this game, and just this game. I'm so sorry I'm not usually this dark )
Rahkeshi, still back a ways, looks to find a place to hide and observe. (Stealth: 7) She then tries to figure out what this thing might be. (Nature: 12)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bryant also tries to remain as quiet as possible as he watches nature's carnage play out in front of him. You can't go more than a mile in the cursed place with tripping over a dragon, a giant or whatever the hell this damn thing is. Horrid place to build a village, I don't care how serene the damn lake is...
He readies himself to strike if the need arises hand instinctively falling to rest on the hilt of his sword.
A large beast, eyes glowing with a malevolent hunger, two tails coming out of it's shoulders and another whipping behind it, six legs moving almost soundlessly over the forest floor, and seems to change positions by a couple feet each time you look at it.

Where would you like to go?)
Farewell.

Rahkeshi votes for North as well. "Follow the giants' path AND check out that town. We aren't going to learn anything just sitting in Drakeriver."

"Let them come," says Aurelis grimly, "they need to answer to their foul gods for what they've done, and I intend to send them there personally."
His mood lightening slightly, he looks around for Lilliana and wonders where she has disappeared to.

(Well, thank goodness Aelric rolled high, cause you wouldn't have been able to figure out where the sun was with a nat 1 :)
You head off North, towards the mountain, and after about an hour of walking, Aelric starts screeching again, something about an owl and a bear?

Aurelius is riding his warhorse, so a stealth roll may be moot, but: Stealth 11
He gazes at the "monstrosity" calmly. (Can you describe what he sees? Or perhaps use the [monimage][/monimage] tooltip?)

No clue what you're talking about but anyway, give me a second and I'll give a description.

Aurelius initiative: 16
(Can I get an idea of approximately how far Aurelius is from the beast at the beginning of combat?)
