Based on Furvus' descriptions, it sounds like this creature may be a Nothic. Nothics are magical aberrations born from the wreckage of mages and warlocks who delved too deeply into forbidden magics they could not fully comprehend. Most have no memory of their past selves and are drawn, compulsively, to places of magical knowledge. They have a single, massive eye in their heads through which they can both deliver powerful magical attacks and communicate telepathically with humanoids.

Aubrey nods, ready to follow Rohuzar. "Perhaps rope could suffice for now? If we wait perhaps we should let my raven scout again in case they change numbers or positions." He suggests.
“Da. Leave to prepare. Then scout again. I might be able to borrow some manacles from the Legion. Anybody know how to learn vhat the beasty is?” Rohuzar looks around the group
There is a blacksmith shop within sight and from the sound of clanging hammers, there is still someone at work despite the late hour. The sign out front reads Herzog's Hammerwerks.
The forge is open to the air along one side of the shop, and the proprietor can be found there diligently working his craft. He is tall for a dwarf, and likely would be considered handsome by their standards but for scars that run from his brow to the top of his head... burns. He seems to have overcompensated for the lack of hair on top by growing an extra-long beard.
He pauses his work long enough to talk to you, perhaps hoping for a larger sale to these obvious adventuring types. He has 3 sets of manacles available at 2gp each, and he doesn't ask questions about what you want them for, either.

“Sold. Good doing business vith you.” Rohuzar hands over the six gold and hands out a set to Guilim and Grugga, tucking the last set in his pocket. After they walk away from Herzog’s: “I am ready vhen you are. Take as many captives as possible. Not the monster… such a thing is I’ll suited to capture.”
Leelan takes the opportunity of finding a blacksmith open at this hour to quickly inquire if the shop keeper happens to have powedered silver and iron.
Grugga takes the pair of manacles. "A mercy I'm sure many of them don't deserve... Perhaps some of them in the warehouse aren't in that deep and can still turn their life around." He stretches his back and yawns deeply. "I'm not sure where we can learn about this 'nothic' at such an hour. Is the library open this late? If not, I say we strike while the iron is hot and head back to the warehouse. I'm ready for this." He rests his hand on his crudely made pommel.

Rohuzar nods to everyone.
“I’ll lead the vay, and give signs for you to follow. Citizen Aubrey, your bird can show fastest route through the maze? I vill check for traps along the vay. Then… everyone knows how to fight. No body gets left behind, no body goes off alone.”
He draws his axe and straps on his shield, counting down from three and then rushing quickly across the street. He tries to keep his armaments held down and low to avoid drawing attention. He’ll be watching for traps and moving quiet.

Aubrey nods in affirmation, following Rohuzar across the street, ready to enter the warehouse, letting Furvus lead the way inside. Perception with help from Furvus: 20 Stealth: 11
Grugga seems to be relieved by this decision. Although he'd rather read up on this 'nothic' in most circumstances, he can feel the time pressure bearing down on the group. He follows his companions and lets Aubrey scout out the building once again.
Rohuzar, you lead the group inside the warehouse. The door is unlocked, but you locate a crude alarm, with several glass jars tied to the back of the door like a chime. As carefully as you can, you get the door open wide enough for the group to enter without causing the jars to rattle too much.
Inside, the warehouse is dark and cramped. It's not exactly a maze, as there is only one clear path through all of the clutter and debris. Aubrey and Furvus are able to guide the group to the central room where the guards are waiting.
Are you using a light source? If so what, and who is holding it? If not, I need DEX saves from everyone without darkvision.
The interior of the warehouse appears deserted. You soon reach the central room. It is 15' x 15' with wooden walls and a single, solid-looking wooden door. There is the faintest glow of light visible in the thin space between the door and the floor.

Rohuzar is moving ahead of the group and will suggest they use light. He’ll tell them to hold and snuff it out just prior to reaching the central room, however.
He whispers to Grugga: “Help them to the door vith me. Then we all hit the door, pile in and grab the guards. After, ve must move fast. Ready?”
"Wait, I have an idea for the light." After seeing how dark the interior is, Grugga steps back outside and grabs 3 small stones off the ground and touches one of his purple crystals to them. Immediately they light up with 5 ft of bright light and an additional 5 feet of dim light. "just put these in a pouch or pocket when you're done with them." He hands them out to Aubrey and Guilim and puts the last one in his own pouch.
[The little lights negate the need for any DEX saves.]
You gather outside the door to the interior room, having been mostly silent and confident you haven't been detected.

Rohuzar looks quizzical. “Is not vhat I expected. May be a trap. And ve need live ones. Ve should take brief trip to go buy manacles, then return.”

"That and perhaps we should learn more of the creature before we encounter it." Guilim suggests as he moves to be in step with the others.

‘’By their very nature, abberations are anomalies. Finding information about it will surely prove to be challenging.’’, Leelan adds.
