Mordekai sees Zendrak disappear and assumes he teleported into the sphere. He has no idea if it'll work, but since he doesn't see a flaming Zendrak anywhere, he figures it might be worth a try. With Kari now too far away, he looks to Mal. "Shall we?" If Mal agrees, Mordekai will take her by the arm, using a bonus action to give her a d8 Bardic Inspiration, and casts Dimension Door to get them both hopefully inside the sphere (aiming for 10ft south of the direct centre of it on the map).
(If she doesn't agree, he'll cast Darkness on himself instead, and follow in Kari's direction, although I think Mordekai might be slower? If possible he'll follow close enough that Kari's included in the cover of the darkness while dealing with the fire damage! But first choice will be to try to teleport himself and Mal inside - that's upto Mal's consent.)
Mal quickly looks back to the Thayans, then she will look back in the direction of where her friends seem to be headed and quickly nods her head yes and goes with Mordekai, crossbow at the ready.
With an impulse and a prayer Mordekai grabs Mal and with a puff of black smoke they both vanish, teleporting into the rainbow sphere....and into a whole other kind of chaos.
Within the blindingly bright sphere, they are dazzled with light, but within the center of the sphere they seem to be safe from the worst of the blindingly bright scintillating colors. They glance around and see far more creatures in here than they'd expected.
Zendrak is immediately next to them. He's been here but a moment, but somehow already he seems caught in some sort of force shield that surrounds him. He slams his fist against it in frustration.
Near him is a large air elemental. The creature appears to be flailing about at random, almost as if it is blind. Next to it, another of these huge hammer wielding monsters is here. It seems to be battling a woman wearing heavy armor and holding a hammer that glows with magical energy, and clutching a shield that seems to be made from a large white dragon scale. Her eyes are shut however as she seems to be taking a defensive stance. Next to her is a glowing, semi-translucent floating hammer that appears to be smashing into the large sledgehammer creature over and over. Standing next to the woman is an elf...holding a staff in one hand and a rapier in the other. His eyes are shut as well and he though he's moving with grace, it's clear he can't see. At their feet is a massive rusted construct of some type that has fallen into rubble.
In addition to them, there are three undead here. One is concealed almost entirely by massive heavy armor. Only glimpses of bone through the metal let you know the hulking creature is undead. Another is clearly undead, it's bone skull is sheathed in green fire and it's bone cage of a chest is unarmored. The creature seems to have just finished casting a spell at Zendrak. The third is an undead wearing golden rune covered robes and clutching a mace. He's floating a bit and covered from head to toe in crackling lightning. A strange dark mist surrounds him as he floats there. The three are spread equadistant around the the sphere of rainbow, all facing inwards.
Unfortunately Kurik can see none of this. As he enters the huge room, filled with the 50 foot wide lazily rotating ball, he can feel the magical energy pulsing from it. To Kurik's RIGHT he sees the Thayan contingent...watching as they down the sledgehammer wielding monster they were fighting. A strange dim sphere seems to surround the lot of them. The Lich creature that leads them stands in the middle and now turns his attention from the broken rock monster to the rest of the room.
To Kurik's left he sees the half-elf glaring up with intent at the flying goat/owl...it seems to wince in pain and it's unleashes a mental shriek, before hurling a ball of ice down at the half-elf. The ice explodes before it gets to him, showering him with ice and pure cold.
The three one-eyed purple monster things running around to his left seem to be focusing their stares at the bald human with a staff.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kurik gives the flaming sword a little spin as he flicks his wrist around and starts out with a slow run as he draws the shield from behind his back. Then, as he leans forward as magic flows threw his body and he speeds forward faster than the eye can see. He lands just behind the closed foe, his sword have already made it's path striking at the creatures head with all the power he had to bare, blade, flame, thunder, necrotic...

Then she spins, but the dazzling lights catch her eyes and the first bolt fires wide, incinerating in the wall. She already has a second bolt in the air though and it flies true, slamming into the things full plate armor with a loud clank before shattering, the pieces go flying.
Meanwhile, outside the sphere, Kurik moves light a flash, appearing next to one of the purple one eyed creatures, his flaming blade swinging at it. The blade leave a small enough cut, but a thunderous boom fills the air as well as the searing flame on the blade leaving a mark. The creature screeches out in pain and looks almost felled by a single blow...but stays standing.

The golden lion figure chops three times into the huge hammer wielding monster and it turns to stone and shatters as it collapses onto the floor.
Zendrak growls from within his magical cage and then mumbles a spell. The cage around him collapses from existence and the glaring light from the wall seems somehow less around him. However, even as he does so, the air ripples all around the room as if an intense heat is present, but no heat can be felt. And then everyone in the room feels a powerful "TWANG" in the very fabric of reality. The rainbow wall vanishes.....with an abrupt flash. The bald human suddenly wheels his arms and feet as he drops from the air. The flaming sword held by the goliath goes out. Zendrak's own sword seems to have lost its encasing of lightning. The lightning and thunder encasing one of the undead abruptly vanishes and he lands on the ground. The sparkling sphere around the Thayans vanishes. The glowing aura's on half of the people in the room vanish. The magical floating hammer vanishes.
It's as if almost all the magic in the room were suddenly sucked away out of the room.
Only the goat owl goddess seems to remain aloft with her feathery wings, and the Mythallar continues is leisurely spin entirely unaffected.
And then, it comes rushing back, but as a terrible strange distortion. What can only be described as a wavering tear in reality appears 20 feet up in the air, in the corner of the room above where the rainbow sphere was. Long sparkling tentacles of distorted air seem to flap and squirm about, reaching easily 80 feet from the massive weird disturbance.
The bald human lands lithely on his feet with a gentle thud.

Kari moves cautiously around the air elemental until she is about 10 feet from both Zendrak and the elemental And who exactly are we fighting? She holds her attack on the elemental until she knows for sure that it is hostile, or for any hostile attack against herself.

A black lion man emerges from the shadows behind the undead with the flaming green skull. Two nasty stabs send chunks of bone flying and the undead looks badly injured as the black lion slips away, moving in a blur past the half-elf and almost all the way to Kurik. The undead in the armor moves away from the magical disturbance and over to the other undead near it, and casts a spell....though it has no obvious result (if anyone wishes to counterspell let me know).
The elf next to the armored woman is clearly blind. He taps his staff on the ground and a curtain of flame rises up, surrounding him and the woman, heat emanated out from the opaque wall of fire.
Kari repositions herself, not entirely unclear who they should be fighting, and looks around warily, ready to strike....

Mordekai will move himself away from where the disturbance is, avoiding getting too close to the elemental. His route away from the centre of the melee takes him almost directly towards the green flaming skull undead (although he'll only go about halfway to it, even if he does have more movement than that).
He has no idea whose side anyone is on, but feels safe in the thought that undead are bad. So he'll send his 3 purple blasts of Eldritch energy at them, first at the green flame skull guy, then if he dies, turning on the armoured undead.

The half-elf reacts as the elf wizard is about to raise his wall of fire, rushing across the space and sliding to a spot between the elf and the armored half-elf woman. The wall of fire goes up, but not before you hear the elf say, "Mirica? Our connection is broken, can you cure my blindness?! If you need me to I can drop the wall at a moments notice..."
The flying goat owl creature looking beaten and bruised literally screams in rage with her owl beak at bald human and lets loose a blast of ice at him that explodes across him as he crouches on the ground where he landed.
Kari with her long glaive circles around the wall of fire and gets closer to her allies, swinging her weapon around and clearly trying to get a sense for who is a threat.
The Thay Lich, followed by his entourage begin to move forward, around the central sphere on the south side.
The green skulled Lich looks angrily about, still stumbling from the blows as the black lion rushes away. "You like that darkness so much, very well then, you may have it!"
He holds out both hands and shadows begins to swirl about him, growing larger and larger, coalescing into a sphere of pure blackness that suddenly grows and envelops everybody! You hear the elf from within the flames mutters, "Am I blind again?" For a moment, it seems as if it is just darkness, but then you all feel....presences within the darkness. A voice nearby that seems to float by, gibbering and gabbering randomly...another that floats above you, shrieks in a most disturbed way, another near the ground at your feet that seems to me moaning in tongues. The insanity of all the sounds is clear and pulls at your very minds.
Mordekai, his demonic site having no problems piercing the entire sphere of darkness, makes his move towards the green flame skull undead, unleashing blast after blast. His first blast sails wide, but the next two hit true. The skull seems to be a tough creature though because it looks in no danger of falling.
Mordekai, Wisdom DC 20 save or take 45 psychic damage as the insanity around you pulls at your mind. A shiver runs from the creature in your pocket, and you hear him muttering, "Not real, false false false...yet made real...false!!"

Kurik wasn't over concerned with the darkness but the voices surprised him. Their chitter chatter broke his concentration but a singular voice vibrated with him his mind buffering him from the bulk of it. His armor fluttered a little and then the moment was passed. Kurik raised his head in the direction of the lich, an pointed his sword at him. Then he made three quick slashes sending out three eldritch blasts right in his direction.
---
Kurik has the Eldritch Invocation Devil's site which lets him see in darkness, both magical and non magical to a range of 120 feet. If this still causes him to be blind then the attacks will be made at disadvantage. I'll roll them separately and you can make the decision.
Eldritch blast 1: attack 23, 2nd for if disadvantage 22, damage 12
Eldritch blast 2: attack 28, 2nd for if disadvantage 16, damage 10
Eldritch blast 3: attack 19, 2nd for if disadvantage 26, damage 5
Kurik then moves straight east 30 feet and spends a bonus action to re-ignite his sword
Also of note, Kurik has the Mage slayer feat so any spell caster concentrating on a spell that takes damage from him rolls at disadvantage

Mal moves desperately through the darkness, crossbow up, ready to fire on anything, but the maddening insanity and darkness still surround her.
Kurik, bothered by the mad voices, but not by the darkness unleashes three blasts of magic across the field. Two strike the Lich, sending chunks of bone flying, though if they threatened to disrupt his concentration, even with all of Kurik's mage slaying know how....the undead shows no sign of being bothered. In the darkness, his flame sword reignites.
Both Mordekai and Kurik have no issue with the darkness, and can tell that none of the undead, nor the flying goat, nor the magical disturbance seemed bother by the darkness. The voices though seem to affect almost everything. The sledge hammer creature seems to quiver, and shake, but manages to swing a blow at the half-elf armored woman anyway, solidly hitting her.
The bald human makes a b-line out of the darkness and reaches the green skulled creature, and a whirlwind of blows strike out, smashing bone and cracking the creature...that suddenly appears on the edge of defeat, but is still standing.
Then the massive long tentacles of the disturbance reach out. Two strike at the elf surrounded by flames but he seems to be able to protect himself with some magic. Meanwhile, one strikes at Mordekai, one at Kurik, and one at Zendrak!
Attack on Mordekai: 30 Damage: 11 bludgeoning + 19 force damage.
Attack on Kurik: 27 Damage: 16 bludgeoning + 21 force damage.
Attack on Zendrak: 19 Damage: 12 bludgeoning + 34 force damage.
It seems to be striking out at anyone who is unleashing magic!
The Thayans have advanced as a group and a faintly shimmering yellow sphere comes into existence around them.
Mordekai sees Zendrak disappear and assumes he teleported into the sphere. He has no idea if it'll work, but since he doesn't see a flaming Zendrak anywhere, he figures it might be worth a try.

Mordekai sees the badly wounded green flame skull unleash a wave of black energy that washes across the bald human, as well as both Mordekai, and Mal.
DC 18 Con save Mordekai and Mal. 15 Necrotic damage, save for half damage.
