Mohdrak is stuck to the chair, along with Syd's greatsword, which seemed to harm the creature a great deal. To remove themself or their weapon, they may each attempt an Athletics or Acrobatics check at disadvantage.
Cerlinde's Fire Bolt struck the creature, along with the necrotic damage from the Hex. The chair + Mohdrak + greatsword assemblage is now slowly shuffling toward the door that opens to the hallway.
I'm currently waiting to see if Ollezall intended to strike Mohdrak's chair or was going for a knee-jerk reaction attack on his own chair just in case. Both equally valid in my mind from a role-play perspective. I'm also waiting to see how Mohdrak wants to deal with his predicament and how Dyumi will respond. Dyumi's looking a little odd to everyone at the moment.
Cumin and Coriander are zipping around the room in the air, screeching in fright and dismay. Their actions do not seem to be helping the situation!
(I had intended this as a knee jerk reaction to my own chair becoming animated, so I should probably stick to my guns and drown with the ship haha)

Good man, good role playing. Your DM approves, but somewhere Kelemvor is slowly shaking his head. Aside from mild embarrassment, Ollezall suffers no ill effects from the misplaced magic, nor does your chair. ;-)
As for Syd, his RRRAAAAGGGGGEEEE gives him the indomitable will and power to tear his sword from the creature's sticky body and he has effectively cut off the exit. Hang tight while the rest of the crew catches up in Rounds 1 and 2.
The party is all enjoying the fine meal put together by Mohdrak, with the assistance of their tiny hosts, Cumin and Coriander. A jovial conversation commences, with the party sharing tales of their previous adventures and Cumin and Coriander reminiscing about their masters. Everything seems to be going just as well as could be imagined. Which, of course, means that something wicked this way comes.
Seeing that the party has more or less completed the main course, with many compliments to the chef, Mohdrak attempts to stand and head to the kitchen, but finds that the chair in which he is sitting seems to be stuck to his back and legs. He is unable to move and as he shifts his weight, trying to figure out what is happening, Mohdrak feels a sudden movement behind him.
Mohdrak feels a lash strike him on the back, then sees a tentacle reach up over his shoulder. Mohdrak is currently grappled.
(I'm assuming you're not holding your shield, so your effective AC at the moment is 17, let me know if you have another interpretation.)
OOC: That sounds fair. Eating with knife and fork requires 2 hands so yeah: no shield in hand and his weapon is just hanging from his belt. 9 damage is ouch.
Round 1
It warmed Mohdrak to see the others dig into the meal with such gusto. When he had finished his own plate, he put down his knife and fork: it was time to return the empty pots to the kitchen and return with the nuts and cheese platter as well as the wine. He excused himself and stood up. Except he could not. Which was weird because he had never had any trouble getting out of a chair before. The fact that his legs and back seemed to be glued to his seat might have something to do with it.
'What the-'
That was about as much as Mohdrak managed to say before a heavy tentacle, which formely had been the armrest, slammed him in the side. Luckily it was a strike to his right and not his stomach, else his meal might have come back up. Unfortunately it still hit like a runaway cart. The minotaur threw what water remained in his goblet in his face to refocus.
With a loud outcry of equal part pain and ferocity Mohdrak took his morningstar off his belt and made a savage swipe at the chair's legs.
Action: attacking the chair 16 Damage: 12 Bonus action: Second Wind 2 What kind of shite rolls are these...
Round 2 will depend on what the chair is going to do because there is a real chance Mohdrak might not be conscious during round 2. Unless he can somehow act before the chair?

(I believe it's standard two-weapon fighting as BA, I've been discounting the bonus to damage on those second attacks if it was added to the roll.)
Yeah, I accidentally added the bonus, I've fixed it now.

Somehow, the party has been relatively successful in wending their weapons and spells to the malevolent chair without severing Mohdrak's legs. Whatever this creature is, it's clearly in distress and it quickly releases Mohdrak from its grip following Dyumi's handaxe strike and the various bravado-laden threats sent its way.
It slinks toward a corner of the room and appears to be cowering, with several tentacles, now white and red striped like a candy cane, held up and waving slowly in front of the red velvet chair back, as if to surrender or protect itself. On the chair back, you start to see the outlines of a mouth and eyes. This chair monster whimpers as the party surrounds it, while Cumin and Coriander have managed to compose themselves enough to stop squealing and are now just hovering over the table.
(Mohdrak has a pending action in Round 2. And I do sympathize w/the die rolls. In the previous two combat encounters nine monsters managed to land one hit out of around 20 attacks!)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Round 2
Furious with the attack on his person, Mohdrak let out a bellowing warcry and tried to hit the chair as it was retreating.
Reaction: Attack of Opportunity 18 Damage: 11
The minotaur was livid but he did keep his wits about him. Syd had his sword gotten stuck and the chair clearly secreted some sort of adhesive. There was a patch of missing fur on the back of his left leg that could attest to that. Choosing safety over brutality made Mohdrak drop his weapon on the table, run over to his backpack and retrieve his crossbow. Loading a bolt onto it, he took careful aim to try and hit the creature in the eye.
Attack: 20 Damage: 3 Piercer: Reroll damage: 3 New damage roll = 9 Piercer: Critical Hit additional die: 6 Total damage roll = 16

(Nice work in getting all of that correct on the crossbow attack and damage. For the record, whatever you attacked with on the AoO did not get stuck to the creature because in its half-transformed state, it is no longer adhesive.)
With a crossbow bolt in one of its eyes, the creature shrieks in agony and shockingly, you hear it gargle out the words, "Please... hungry... scared..." It cowers further into the corner while its tentacles attempt to pluck the bolt from its eye. It is putting up no resistance. The creature is barely hanging on to what little life it has left.
Cerlinde says “You can talk? well- surrender to us and pledge to be well behaved and we can feed you, if you are hungry. Don’t attack us and expect to live! What manner of creature are you?”
(So, since Syd is raging, he will probably continue the attack unless someone snaps him out of it..... )
*slap*
"Calm down, big boy."

With a snarl, Syd whirls to face the wrinkly old man. He starts to raise his weapon, his judgment suppressed by the bloodlust pounding in his veins. After a brief moment, the mist over his eyes seems to clear, and he lowers the sword again, breathing heavily. He mumbles an apology and steps back, embarrassed.
