Galingal nods his understanding to Stena.

Neth, surprised to hear his name yelled in more of a “for” him way instead of an “at” him way, stops ogling burning web and searching for web sacs and nods, jumping to the water to collect what he can.

Plibbleburp joins Neth under the water as the rest of you pole the boat forward into the tunnel. Perhaps the flare of fire ruined your eyes until they can react, but it isn't until you hear something hit the boat that you realize that you're under attack from above, the spider clinging to a stalactite as it spits from its fangs down at your boat passing below.

Seeing the spider about to attack, Lia tries to cast a powerful trick over it’s mind, casting phantasmal force against it, to make it believe it’s on fire…

If it works, it takes 5 psychic damage.

The spider, perhaps overeager at the prospect of tasty surface dwarf, didn't notice that the shimmery one noticed it and as it goes to spit its gluey trap at Stena, Lia conjures Totally Real Flame™ all around it. It chitters and thrashes, its spray going wild as it writhes with phantom pain.

Spit Web: 7

The spittle patters against the cabin of the boat, going from liquid to hard and fibrous, but missing Stena. She has a twinge of a headache, and lifting her hand to her head, wipes away a stray droplet.

The creature is still writhing above, the flames it had avoided when Lia lit its web on fire having apparently caught up to it, and it skitters back up its silk line, fleeing along the ceiling of the tunnel back towards the cavern you came from.

Neth and Plibbleburp surface with some additional soggy weapons, unaware of the (drawn out) moment of excitement above.

The tendrils of fire have continued to spread through the mass of web above, and a silken retreat loses the ability to hold its contents, a trio of good sized silk-wrapped parcels plummeting down to smack against the water, missing the boat by 10-20 feet. One of the parcels lets out a muffled groan and twitches weakly.
