Lia just shuffles a little closer to Lex in all the commotion. She holds her hands out — left and right, and in front — in a nervous defensive posture, trying to keep an eye out for any monsters emerging…

(Safe to assume Galingal, Eldeth and Stool were shuffled back to the cells?)

((Ah, yes, folks up top will be getting bustled to the slave pen, lmk if you want to do/check anything! Cave floor folks doing anything, or waiting for drow to deal with whatever's going on?))

Galingal hears a hint of urgency in the steps of what he assumes are drow guards around him. The roar of the waterfall muffles most sound, but there must be something going on for them to have been abruptly shuffled back to the cell.

He strains to pick up any sounds he might recognize. Is this the work of the scarred drow?

((Just to sure, there are no paths away at the top? Only where Stena, Lia and Lex are now?))

Galingal: You hear bellowing and drow shouts from the cavern below, and the scurrying activity of the remaining drow and quaggoth up top. You don't hear anything to indicate that it would be the scarred drow's ploy in action, but also would be able to tell based on what you hear, that you have no idea where the other prisoners currently are besides those being escorted back to the slave pens with you now, and that any route of escape would be taking you TOWARDS the commotion.

((@Rod, paths away from the cavern? Correct, they are all at cavern floor level the outpost above is typically only accessed via the lift, though the descent of the drow on their silken lines would seem to indicate that they have other means to descend to the cavern floor, so aren't wholly reliant on the lift.))

Stena gives Lex a look and lifts her chin to indicate that they need to go up, for now.

As Thom is brought back to the slave pen, he doesn't do or say anything about the commotion, and isn't sure what is really going on (I'm not sure he saw anything from the quaggoth cave and is really only now hearing and seeing the commotions) but would be ready to move on a moment's notice should an escape opportunity present itself during all of this. Especially if someone else were to try in this moment. 

In his mind, he was going to wait for the scarred drow to come back and see if he talks more with Sarith. 

Speaking of him (the scarred drow), is he around during this commotion?

As those up top are returned to their pen, and those down below wait by the lift, there are screeching roars reverberating, along with shouted commands in elvish, and the twanging thud of crossbows, and eventually all is quiet. A drow returns from the action to wave the guard keeping an eye on those slaves by the lift, summoning them forward.

As you're lead across the cavern to the northwestern passage, you find a trio of dead creatures, studded with drow bolts that are even now being retrieved. The creatures have reptilian and insectoid features, and are five feet or so from snout to base of their tail.

(Except more dead.)

A pair of quaggoth trundle up behind you, having just arrived from the lift dragging a sled made of fungal wood. The drow and quaggoth stand around while they command you to load the carcasses on the sled, then make you haul it back to the lift. It would have been an easy matter for the quaggoth, but they seem just as happy to be permitted to watch you toil. For once, Ront makes himself useful.

Back at the lift, a basket of drow head up, and you wait the minute or so for the lift to return, then the quaggoth toss the dead creatures in and ride up with it, before it's returned to load you in, along with the wet clothes and fishing results. After you ride up and disembark, you're led to the slave pens where you're reunited with the other prisoners.

Thom would shudder at the screeching roars and noises he hears while back in the slave pen, but other than that he would just be waiting. Waiting for what he wasn't quite sure of. Waiting to die maybe?

Maybe, given what he just heard. 

Thom would ask the first person who comes back into the slave pen what the fork that noise was, actually.

Stena will, again, try and get something sharp and weaponizable from the corpses that she is also likely to identify.

Lia has the same thought, ((but losing track a little of who’s where. If Lia is near Stena…)) she will help the dwarf by ‘accidentally’ holding and pulling the parts that Stenna is going after, pulling in the other direction, while carrying… like snapping a wish bone. And using the creature’s weight to help too by holding bits that look too brittle to carry the thing by… ‘oops’…

Unbeknownst to each other, Stena and Lia both try to get something useful off the dead creatures.

 ... while Lia manages to notice that one of the tails has been partially severed, and when the opportunity presents itself, she wrenches it free and tucks it away.

"Soo you guys got anything usefull?" Io looked more green then normal and by her speech it was visible that she was disgusted beyond any normal level
