They chat a bit more in goblin, and Spiderbait nods and hops over the side of the strand again, sliding and disappearing into the dark below.
"He's gonna see if he can find the other dude and dudettes, and is gonna meet us at a righteous drop point on the far side. If they're still out there, he'll totally find them."
Stena continues on with her two charges.

In time, and unbeknownst to each other, both parties make it to the far side of the chasm without further interruptions and scares.
Galingal, Kolose, Neth and the rest of the upper crew reach what at first appears to be a sheer wall of stone, but YukYuk points them to a set of recessed stairs that are nigh invisible from below until you are on them. They are certainly narrow and steep, but having solid rock under your feet for the first time in what feels like weeks is a welcome literal change of pace.
Stena, Lia and the as yet nameless halfling have moved along their silken strand, which has widened and broadened out to a sheet that dips and pinches in as it funnels down to a dark tunnel. The edges are festooned with wrapped silk bundles, and all in all it looks a rather ominous place.
Lia begins humming a tune under her breath.

Stena slips forward, the sheet of silk bobbing beneath her weight, but she sees, hears and feels no other presences ahead of her down the silken funnel.
Galingal moves upward, and as he nears the top, begins to see other evidence of worked stone, a small outpost, long fallen to ruin, but somewhat defendable, should the need arise.

Stena continues on, the bouncy silk giving way to silk lined stone, a bit unnerving to feel silk so solid under her feet after being on the strands for what seems like weeks. She spots a wetness to a patch of silk before noticing a spider leg extended along the floor, protruding from around a bend in the silk-lined tunnel.

"I hope that Spiderbait comes back with your friends, but if he doesn't how long do we want to wait here? It's a good enough spot, but the longer we stay in one place, the more likely that someone or something catches sight, sound or smell of us. If we decide to leave before SB gets back, I can leave him a message, put it in goblin so we don't have drow or the like tracking us, but give him a spot we'll be headed? Or we wait for him to get back and see if he's alone?"

Stena remains frozen, eyes glued on the spider leg, but it still has not moved.
YukYuk nods at the wisdom of Galingal's agreement. He pulls out some charcoal and scratches some figures on the a flat span of stone.
The party moves along, Galingal keeping an alert eye up front, while Jimjar watches their backs "Five gold says we never see them again.", he says to Kolose and Neth.
It's a bit of a relief to be moving along solid ground, your goblin guide indicating that you'll head down chasm through side tunnels before needing to cross the Silken Paths back to the other side to reach the route to Gracklstugh. Gal spots torchlight up ahead at one point, and after a momentary thought that it could be Stena, Lia, and the currently nameless halfling returning with Spiderbait, realizes that there is a dozen or so pricks of flickering light.
One measure of disappointment, one measure of relief, as Stena walks forward and finds that the leg is NOT attached to a spider, but has been removed. Violently. There is a trail of what may be more spider juices leading deeper in.

Keeping the torches in sight, Galingal backtracks a bit and finds a rough series of ledges that should be easily scalable by most of you, and with rope to assist, get Kolose up no problem to a ledge up above that would provide visual on the torch bearers should they come closer. Jimjar shimmies up and tosses rope down for the rest of you to clamber up.

Galingal watches the two goblins as they speak. He nods eventually.
"Let's get going," Galingal says.
But watches them for any sign they might have done something with Stena and the others.

When it becomes obvious that it's more than one torch, Galingal gets points them out and indicates everyone should be quiet.
