As Petmailer readies his bow, there is a shimmering as a spider appears between Stena and the rest of the party, looming over her while another appears behind her, both with fangs bared!

Petmailer aims his bow upward at the spider hanging over Stena and in between her and the party.  He looses the arrow and it strikes true, he says under bared teeth, “Move!”

Long bow :  (Nat 20!) 28 to hit, for 10 points of piercing damage, his held action.

Moments after Petmailer fires an arrow into the one spider, Galingal hurls the javelin after it towards the same creature.

Javelin - 16 to hit for 2 piercing from held action

There is a chittering hiss as the weapons strike true, but both of the spiders bite down towards Stena, looking to make quick work of a dwarven meal.

Bite Attack: 5 Damage: 12, DC 11 Con Save on hit or take 18 poison damage on fail, half on save.

"Oh, fork!", Jimjar remarks stumbling backwards into the goo as he fits another bolt to his crossbow and takes aim at a spider butt.

The spiders both miss the tough dwarf, but Jimjar sends a bolt up to the fletching into the spider.

Stena looks between the two spiders the back to the covering darkness before twisting around the leading spider to run towards the others.

(Disengage, move)

Stena ducks along the wall, warily enough that neither of the spiders are able to snap at her. Lia, rather than trying to engage the spider from the far end of the tunnel, tugs at Neth's sleeve and heads deeper in, calling softly to the goblins.

Neth seems to debate a bit, before heading out himself, not wanting to let Lia run into the tunnel solo.

Petmailer targets the injured spider and sends another arrow towards it, then turns and runs further into the tunnel, turning to look behind him after 30 feet.  

Long bow : 17 to hit, for 9 points of piercing damage.  

"Keep moving!  We will put arrows in them along the way!  Who has that magical sword again, is it you Lia?  We may need it!"

Galingal waits for Stena to get clear before raising his hand, and reluctantly calling on the power of the Queen. Rippling energy buildings along the outline of the raven tattoo before racing down his arm and erupting out towards the least injured spider.

Action: Casts Guiding Bolt 23 to hit for 21 radiant damage (rolled in Game Log) - next attack against this spider has advantage

Movement: As long as he's not in AoO range, he'll move back down the tunnel with the others.

Petmailer sends an arrow into the spider that Jimjar shot, while Galingal lights up the far spider, both of the elves falling back from Jimjar, Kolose and Stena.

Kolose tries to redirect his hand to grab one of the spiders, staying as far as he can.

The dirt fist grasps at the spider, which struggles to evade it's grip.

It gooshes one of the legs, and when the two spiders both vanish before the party's eyes, the leg remains grasped like a leg of turkey.

"Five gold says they're coming back, and I'm not waiting around to see!", Jimjar hustles up the tunnel, past Lia and Neth.

Not seeing any spiders, Stena dashes after the others.

Stena hurries up the tunnel.

Petmailer will flee unless it appears that they cannot get away without a fight.

"They will be back," Galingal says, but sees no benefit in waiting for them. He joins the others in running down the tunnel.
