"Two gold says I can get her to tell me where our guy is!"
He nods, and switches to speaking to her in gnomish, but even without understanding them, you can tell he's putting on the charm, making a show of looking at her wares.
Eventually he smiles and shakes his head regretfully as he pats her on the arm and says something about her rocky escort and rejoins you. She seems a bit disappointed, but returns to attempting to hawk her jewlery.
"Her name's Ariana, and she's holding gems at the moment, but can't find her duergar contact who was supposed to take them off her. She's looking to unload at a discount, and thought we looked the likely sort. Five gold says it was Neth's shady looks he's throwing."
Neth, on hearing his name turns to give Jimjar a lazy grin. "Nah, it's fine."
Jimjar shakes his head and continues, "Ten gems, each worth a hundred gold, or so she claims, wasn't going to ask to see them on the street. She says she'll exchange the gems for eight hundred gold. It'd be a tidy profit... if we had the eight hundred, and somewhere to spend the gems." He sighs, regretfully. "If she's not just exchanging the gems at a shop here, I have to think there's a reason... I think we'd have to take them elsewhere to get the full value."
"Told her we've other things we need to take care of here first, but would let her know if things change and we can help move her goods. I did find out that Werz Saltbaron of Clan Saltbaron, is in fact a salt miner, and has a boat at the docks, she said to look for the one with barrels with a pile of salt branded on the side."
He beams at his accomplishment and briefly holds out a hand before recalling that no one took him up on his two gold bet.

Petmailer hides a smile behind his hand, rocking up and down on his toes. Speaking softly, he says "So, to the docks, eh? Good work Jimjar! I don't think I'll ever take a bet against you..."
Petmailer smiles, saying “I’ll take that bet! Hah, I took a bet against you! I’ll take that five gold now!” Petmailer grins at Jimjar, holding his hand out.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Galingal nods his approval to Jimjar for what he has found out. He then follows Stena part way to where she is headed, hanging back a little to see if anyone is paying attention to their group (Perception: 16 )
While he doesn't see anyone paying particular attention to the party beyond what might be expected for a group of outsiders moving through the district, does note a few instances where there are invisible duergar... heavy footsteps splashing through a puddle... the jingle of armor where no one is wearing armor. Caution would seem to be advisable, as one cannot be sure they are not being observed without their knowledge.
You arrive in a broad square, with a number of shops in permanent structures that seem to be exclusively staffed by duergar, while more temporary operations have been set up on stalls and tables. There is a din of conversation and haggling, and it does indeed seem that you ought to be able to both sell and buy gear here.
"Best prices in the Blade Bazaar! Not gonna find better quality for prices this low!"
"Exotic meats, fresh as you please!"
"Blades sharpened while you wait!"

Stena scans the market with a practiced eye, and spots a shop nestled into the first floor of a stone building at the edge of the market, a crossed hammer and axe on a plaque above the open doorway. Through it, she can see a bearded duergar man behind a counter, gleaming weapons on the walls. He's making no move to join the cajoling of patrons that other non-duergar are, but seems to do steady business.
Further along she spots a hulking earth genasi at a table of wares that look to tend towards arms and armaments.
There is a ramshackle stall staffed by a pair of orcs that at first she mistakes for those that they spotted selling outside the market, but it must be a different set of vendors. They seem to be selling (and possibly buying?) whatever they can make offers or take offers on.

Galingal let’s the others know, quietly, that duergar guards are watching the area at all times, but otherwise he just waits for Stena to find what she’s looking for.
Kolose is still looking about for books, tomes, scrolls, anything of the likes. He seems sorely disappointed there's so little interest in it here, but perhaps he should not be surprised.
Kolose gets the sense that the Bazaar is more about the tangible items of physical pursuits, rather than intellectual. Any shops to specialize in books and the like would likely see less traffic, and not be served by the carnival barking of most vendors here. A select clientele would seek them out.
And books and scrolls among the other vendors is likely incidental... Something found (or looted) that they hope to get something for. At any rate, not anything he sees out on display.
Stena sees an assortment of duergar crafted arms and armor, and while it is a bit more abrupt and angular than surface dwarf make, she has to begrudgingly admit to at least some part of herself that it looks well made. Everything looks new, or at least refurbished and repaired to be like new.
The shopkeeper takes in her currently duergar appearance and gives her a dour nod that passes for a welcoming grin among the gray dwarves. "Need something?"
His eyes flick up to Petmailer, and that's a tightening of his brow, but he is there to sell things, so there's no open hostility to the drow, though his gaze when it lands back on Stena is a bit questioning.
Pet can see a selection of shields, though it seems that ranged weapons in this duergar shop favor crossbows and bolts
Galingal nods to Jimjar. It was best not to make any unnecessary enemies this early so they needed to find Saltbaron.
”Yes. Get details. And an idea of risk. Just to get directions the risk should be low.”

Stena mutters something unkind about orcs and watches Jimjar's wheeling and dealing with little interest.
"We should check over there."
She looks towards the sound of bartering,
"Before heading to the docks."
She doesn't explain herself and starts walking, expecting people to follow.
Kolose obediently follows along like the lost lamb he is.
"don't think it's worth buying those gems when we're not sure we can resell them..."
He briefly glances around.
"... Nor be certain it's not another kind of scam."
"I-- well...", Jimjar's gaping mouth might remind Stena and Gal of Shuushar.
"Well played, my friend!", he chuckles and counts out coins into Petmailer's palm.

Stena is looking for some place to buy and sell weapons, she is desperately short on arrows (single digits now).
Petmailer follows after Stena, interested in arrows as well. He watches where she looks, where she goes, but staying silent, walking behind.

Stena scans the market and heads to a reasonable looking weapons dealer.

She will say to the others,
"Give meh all the gear ye want to sell. Aye might get better prices here."

((Have we had a short rest?))
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Stena heads to the duergar's shop and says to Petmailer, Gal and Jimjar (who are the closest?),
"One of ye should check the genasi's wares and someone should see what the orcs are buying."
She'll gesture towards each of the shops in turn.
Once at the duergar's shop she will inspect what he has on offer.
((Short rest since...?))
