The orc takes the dagger and looks it over. 

"Twelve silver I give for dagger?"

There is an assortment of gear, in various states of condition, repair and cleanliness. It's piled up on the cart, spilling over onto the ground. If they had been given fifteen minutes to loot as much as they could from a battlefield or a slightly disreputable general store, it might look a lot like the piles of goods before you. While there are arms and armor, there are also some lanterns, dubious looking rations, frayed rope, a wooden sign for a tavern that looks like it had been chewed on. 

Was there anything in particular that Galingal is looking for?

Kolose doesn't see much revealed via his detect magic spell.

((I don't think there's anything that would pop to him right now, but keep reminding me it's up and I'll retro in if it becomes relevant?))

As they're not short on funds right now, Galingal decides having an extra dagger is worth more than an extra twelve silver pieces.

He shakes his head, but does take a closer look to see if there might be a serviceable longbow hidden in the pile of weapons.

There is a longbow, it's a bit crude and well worn, but pulling it out of the pile after a glance towards the vendor to make sure he doesn't have an issue with it, Galingal tests its flex. No creaking or cracking, it'll need a new string, but should do the job.

"You like? Is sixty of the golds! Need string, I throw in for free. Arrows too, good, sharp."

He drops a hard hide cylinder with a strap, a crude quiver with five fletched arrows in it. The points are sharp, though of a flaked obsidian rather than metal.

Galingal looks from the bow to the orc and shakes his head.

"This weak bow. Will break soon," Galingal says. "Not worth even thirty gold. But feel generous. Bow, good string, quiver, arrows, give thirty gold."

"Forty five.", the orc counters.

"Forty," Galingal says. "All good."

He then looks to the others to make sure they don't have anything they wanted to sell to the orcs.

"Forty two and the dagger."

Galingal shakes his head and turns to rejoin the group and their journey on to find whomever it was they were looking for down at the docks.

((Didn't we have gems and gold from that tomb? Did that just become cash? Otherwise we can sell that annoying talking sword.))

Stena looks over the orcs' goods to see if there is anything worth her time, but is continually thrown off by the orcs' unpleasantly still breathing.

((I see a bunch of gold in my character sheet - I think we just converted everything - do we have the sword? I think Lia had that and she's long since disappeared))

((Lia has it, she's still with you, but has been pretty quiet because I forget about her, and struggle to give voice to the former PCs more than the NPCs.))

((The sword is neurotic, talks and would 100% blind everyone (of importance) in the city and bring down the wrath of the duergar on our heads.

Lia should keep it under wraps.

I thought we had some other swords, but we probably lost them on the way.

Stena looks about, and does spot a few stalls that are selling food stuffs, one that seems to be more baked goods (though the flour is probably fungal in nature), one that has various dried jerkies, both fungus and meat, and a third that has assorted stoneware jars of things that have been salted, pickled or otherwise preserved.

Stena heads över to the dried and stone wear stalls for prices 

Petmailer walks along the stalls, looking for rations as well, but also keeping his eyes open for a nice shield and any tools that would be serviceable as thieves tools.  He speaks very little, asking Stena to intervene if there are any cranky merchants.  Or, any who are crankier than Stena.  

Stena pretends not to hear Petmailer but does ask on his behalf.

Stena, you find that prices are fairly even among the options of preserved foods suitable to for taking on travels, with a couple pounds worth, enough to last a day running about 5 silver. Running the numbers for what would be needed to keep herself, Galingal, Jimjar, Kolose, Lia, Neth, Petmailer and the two goblins fed, the party would be looking at four and half gold per day.

Petmailer looks with sharp eyes as he is walking along the stalls, looking for items of interest..

Petmailer continues wandering, and makes it to a stall run by an earth genasi selling weapons and armor. She nods to you from where her large form is perched atop a stool. "Let me know if you want to get a feel for anything.", she says in Undercommon.

You spot what ought to be a serviceable shield, the style doesn't seem to be either duergar or drow, and from the size, not likely svirfneblin, so your guess would likely be one of the surface races, perhaps once belonging to someone who no longer has a need for it.

You also spot a decent looking longbow, and had overheard Galingal attempting to talk the orcs down on a shabbier bow earlier.

While making your way over to the genasi, you also spotted various components that could be assembled into a serviceable set of thieves tools, other than the picks themselves. It might be that openly selling such things is if not prohibited, inviting of questions that vendors may not want to have to answer from the duergar hosts. One of the vendors that had a small mirror mounted on a handle had it placed between a file and pair of pliers, possibly intentionally.
