Neth starts with the rudder, repositioning and stabilizing it.

He then, working with the KT, tries to patch the holes and hull damage along the bottom of the boat.

Neth and Plibbleburp shore up the rudder with some scabs of wood pinning either side, before moving on to stuffing sap laden rags into the crack in the hull before patching if over with wood. 

They re-emerge, dripping wet, but with all the tools to return to the dragonborn.

Neth feels confident about the rudder, but thinks the curved planking of the hull didn't take as well to the repairs, and that it will have bought you a short amount of time at best.

Stena gives Galingal a small shake of her head, still trying to split her attention between the two fools in charge of boat repairs and the dragonborn's hut.

"Lia has always talked like that. Aye will agree that something is wrong though."

Stena eyes Neth and the KT as they emerge from the water awaiting their report.

Neth carefully climbs onto the boat, placing the tools gently down on the deck and showing that they are all in order.

“Well, the rudder is good as new! As for the holes and what not in the bottom.. well.. I don’t think we are taking on water right now. I’d say it’s fine, but like my dad always use to say, best to get a professional for these things.”

Neth seems pleased with himself as he dries off. 

Galingal's hands clench then unclench when Neth uses the word 'fine' again.

"Let's go before not fine," Galingal says.

Lia will try to hover about and is keen to see the tools safely returned so that she might get her instrument back.

Stena eyes Neth as she judges just how bad things have to be not not reach his low standard of 'fine'.

"So aye suppose we'll be sinking soon then."

Without looking away from Neth she says,

"Lia, grab the tools. Let's get yer harp back."

Once the tools are gathered and Lia coming she'll head back to the hut and pause a fair distance away before shouting,

"Hey. We're back."

Lia gathers up the tools and things and approaches the Dragonborn slowly, then holds them out.

He steps partially out, lyre in hand, gesturing at the ground where the exchange was made before.

Lia makes the exchange. She offers a smile too.

Stena keeps a wary eye on him, bow at hand but not readied.

She doesn't speak but gives a curt nod when the transaction is complete before waving Lia back and away to the boat.

The tools are gathered, and lyre left in its place as the dragonborn returns to the doorway, keeping a wary eye on you both. One of the windows is slightly ajar, enough for Stena to make out the tip of a crossbow bolt. 

He gives a nod in return, but keeps watching as you depart, glancing between you two and the others back by his dock and boat.

"Where you heading?"

"Probably best for both of us ye don't know. Ye got any information on the happenings?"

She'll consider a beat before offering,

"Aye'll share that the Kau-tao shanty town (of whatever the heck it was called) was flattened by... Something. Something terrible."

She shivers uncontrollably for a few breaths before getting herself back under control.

"Don't think much is left."

The dragonborn considers. 

"You're heading to the City of Blades then. I'd avoid the Klegore Pass, if I were you.", he says finally, before shutting the door.

Stena watches the door, and the crossbow in the window for a few moments then returns to boat.

"Let's go."

She asks Jimjar, and her shadow, Buppy,

"The dragonborn said we should avoid Klegore pass. That mean anything to either of ye?"

She starts poling away as they answer.

The two Underdark denizens exchange a concerned glance. 

"It's the main route to Gracklstugh from this part of the Lake. You trust his word enough to put coin on it?"

"Another way is known to me. Twistier and narrower. Take a bit longer."
