Assuming Livia kills the last giant rat Serena turns to her. "Hey, some nice shots there again sweetie, we've clearly figured out one of your talents at least." She says smiling to Livia before returning to the door in the western wall. "Shall we move on?" She asks the others looking to Tresvar to take the lead.
Meepo draws his dagger and runs up to each rat corpse, stabbing it multiple times and then over the furthest away, chortling, "Rats Dead! We safe. Meepo got em!"
“Good job Meepo. What would we do without you? Let’s check this room before going down the hall?” Tresvar says to the group, rolling her eyes a bit about the Kobold’s antics. She starts heading into the room to the west.
Livia goes and tries to gather the bolts she shot. She doesn't have too many of those, so it would be important to gather them. "Shouldn't we try to find Lady Kerowyn's children as soon as possible?" She asks in response to Tresvar.
“Almost forgot my dagger!” Tresvar recovers her dagger. “Yes, finding the children is our goal- but I don’t like leaving doors behind us. I’d like to know if something will sneak out and try to get us..”. She says.
"I agree with Tresvar. The Kerowyn children have been here weeks already... much as we wish to race to find them, urgency should not outweigh caution."
"Oh... and excellent work with those rats. You too, Meepo. You certainly did more damage than I did."

"I see. Forgive my ignorance, then." Livia says sheepishly, then follows the others to the western door. "It seems I still have much to learn. I didn't consider possible dangers, since we're heading towards the danger of the Goblins already."

I understand... I just don't think we will do them any good if we rush in too fast and find ourselves overwhelmed."
"I don't mean it as criticism... and time could well prove you right and me wrong."

"So they lost one of their numbers going north and then came back going this way. Perhaps we should investigate north first after all, but I have a bad feeling about what we're going to find there." Serena says to the others, looking to Tresvar to make the decision on where to go next. New perception when needed:7
Tresvar says “ I’d still like to go west, but we can go south first if most like. I need to add oil” She adds Oil to her lantern and then starts to the south. (Subtracting an oil off her inventory)

"Ok, stand back team, let me take a look at this. Meepo are these yours or the goblins'?" Serena says, first cautiously examining the trap doors and then the fountain. Investigation: 19 rolled with advantage if help is given by Meepo or anyone else. "The tracks of Lady Kerowyns children continue through that door." She says, motioning to the door to the west.
Serena and inspect the trap doors. Each one reveals a 20-foot-deep pit containing only rat bones, rusted metal bits, and filth below the disabled trap doors.
Livia aims her crossbow once again, this time on the last living rat. Thankfully, they were rats and nothing more than that. Slightly big, that's all.
Attack: 24 Damage: 5.

"Oh, don't fret Livia, but about that, which way are those goblins Meepo?" Serena asks their kobold guide. "And what did those tracks tell you?"

Meepo stops, looks closer at the tracks. He scampers a bit south, then north again, then south.
Looing up at Serena, then Tresvar, "Soft-ones... humans... go north. Four went north. Three come back south and west."

(OOC: No, I think Tresvar meant north. :-)
Tresvar is intrigued by another fountain-like structure in the room to the north she sees when she gets her dagger, so after refilling her oil, she heads into that area.
Tresvar leads the party the area just north of the hall where the giant rats lie dead.
Serena following along notices:
The trail of the missing adventuring party skirts around the traps and leads to another wooden door to the west.
She also sees, a mostly worn-away inscription in Draconic on the front of the fountain basin. It reads, “Let there be death.”

Meepo is of the opinion that these were disabled by the human adventurers.
