Livia's bolt sinks into the center mass of the attacking vegetation. The creature stops moving, then after a beat its arm/branches droop to its sides. A thick, dark fluid oozes around the bolt shaft penetrated deep in the creature as the color seems to fade from its bark. It is dead.
Tresvar turns her attention toward the skeletons, rushing up to the closest and cleaving mightily into the bones comprising its rib cage.
((Banjo is up - who can only see the furthest skeleton {not the one Tresvar is attacking} from where he is without moving because the vine column is blocking sight - however he can see ALL of his party members from where he is))

Banjo shakes his head at the twisted plant creature. Jogging to catch up with Tresvar he shouts at the skeleton she is attacking. "Gardener! I want to lodge a complaint. Your shrubs tripped over me!" Once alongside them, shocking grasp Attack: 25 Damage: 6

"Be careful Banjo."Serena cries out as the gnome closes in with one of the undead. With Livia out of harms way she swiftly places the hex on the shovel-wielding skeleton swinging at the gnome and then blasts it with green crackling eldritch force. Eldritch blast: 27 Force: 12 Necrotic: 2

Livia loads a bolt into the crossbow, aims the shot and fires, trying to ignore the fact that what she's firing upon is... a walking skeleton. The bones of a dead person. Suddenly, she feels sick, and the juices in her belly start to rise, just barely stopped by her will.
Livia's bolt flies true, flying into one of the empty eye sockets of the skeleton. The force of the projectile carries the skull away from the spine as Tresvar's blade crashes into the remaining unnaturally connected framework of bones. The bones clatter to the floor in a heap, the shovel landing metal end down, pausing for a moment like a top winding down, and then falls with its handle across the bone pile.
Banjo gives a big thumbs up to his allies, then winces. He begins picking dozens of tiny splinters out of the scratches on his arms and hands.

"Erky, can you see to Banjo please." Serena says and then turns to Livia. "Are you okay Livia, did that vile weed get to you?" She asks looking Livia over for any wounds.
Banjo waves off any healing. Best to save it for when we really need it.

After checking up on Livia Serena cautiously investigates the cave, wary of more plant creatures. Investigation: 21 She then listens by and checks on the south door for traps and if it's locked. Perception: 18 Investigation: 8 And then she does the same with the east door. Perception: 19 Investigation: 22

Aside from the illuminated mist above the lichen, nothing seems to move within the cavern. It is quiet. The whole battle took less than half a minute, yet aside from the cries of the party, it proceeded in eerie silence. The battle was a flow of almost silent chaos bookended by silence. Silence like death, but undead. ((How does that make your characters feel?))
Serena checks the doors thoroughly. She finds no traps and they both appear unlocked.
As she turns back toward the party from the second door, she catches the glimmer of violet light reflected in beady little eyes from the opening on the north wall.
It is quickly joined by a second pair, and she can see that they belong to two particularly hearty looking giant rats.
As if that were not enough, stepping out behind them is the lumbering muscled mass of a bugbear wielding a heavy looking morning star and wearing a crown of antlers on his head which enhances his frightening appearance. Seeing the party, the bugbear roars in goblin:
“Get ready to meet the cook pot!”
Erky cries out, "Its him! The hunter! The one who caught me!"
((Tie between Serena and Livia - both roll a d20 to break the tie. I will give priority to Tresvar in the tie with Erky as Tresvar has the higher initiative bonus))

Serena had certainly heard stories of the undead and necromancers animating the remains of once living an breathing men and women. The whole thing was very unsettling but the rush of adrenaline seeing Livia threatened was stronger yet, and it is only after the battle has ended that she wrestles with the thoughts of who these remains belonged to in life.
As the Bugbear and his rat minions attack through the north entrance Serena places her hex on the Bugbear and blasts him with a beam of green eldritch force. Eldritch blast: 14 Force: 6 Necrotic: 2
She then falls back as much as she can to the south, ending up behind Tresvar if possible. "We're under attack."

(It's okay. Let Serena act first.)
"I'm okay. They didn't even try to hit me." (I think, unless I misses it. Tell me if I did.) Livia answers, though her voice is even fainter than usual. It's hard to speak when you see someone's bones fighting you. Hearing the already-familiar sound of the rats, Livia perks up, quickly loads a bolt and shoots at one. She has still not forgotten about how easily they knocked out Tresvar before.
(Sorry, just posted when I had a moment.
Tresvar will only attack the skeletons if they are a threat to us- if they are just ”gardening” she won’t.).
