Once back at the tavern, Daventry will gather her friends around a table for a round, those who are willing. Raising a mug of ale she toasts, "We did good today. Found a solution to mysterious murders and hopefully kept any more of those creatures being brought into this world... And survived one hell of a fight to get there."
"Hear, hear."Ludolf says and drinks whatever Daventry odered for them. "Well done everyone, we likely saved a lot of lives tonight by putting an end to these creatures and their nefarious plans. Whatever they were saving that gold for you can be sure it was something sinister." He continues smiling proudly over his friends heroics this night. He will go on drinking and talking as long as he has company, recounting the nights activities and praising the actions of the others. At one point he turns to Triäsa and seems to notice something. "Wait, hold still." He says softly and gently removes something, likely speck of Gingwatzim goo. "There you go. Don't think I haven't noticed you prefer to keep yourself tidy." He says with a warm and understanding smile.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Triäsa would certainly stick around to have an ale with Daventry buying. She seem happy to be with the group and enjoy their company. Having finished most of her ale, she calls out, "Listen, if you all would indulge me, let me play something for you. It's one of my favorite pieces."It is an instrumental piece only - just her lute. As she plays you can see the concentration she puts into the finger work, even closing her eyes as she plays. With her eyes closed her body moves subtly with the music, swaying in some parts and moving sharply in accent to others.

When done her eyes open and she glances around at the others, looking very contended and happy.
Ludolf is again entranced by the performance, listening attentively, immersively following the flow of the dramatic and fiery music. When Triäsa is done he can't help himself and stands up applauding loudly. "Bravo, bravo bravissimo."
Triäsa blushes a bit at Ludolf's loud approval, but she accepts the appreciation graciously. "Thank you Ludolf. I am glad you enjoyed it." She sets her lute aside and then settles back into her chair. "Maybe one more drink," she says as she empties what's left of her first ale. She orders another and seems content to linger with any others who stick around, sipping her drink and chatting. She talks a bit about her sister, back in Silverymoon. From what Triäsa says, she is every bit as good at playing the lute as she is. She speaks fondly of her and there's a bit of a hint she misses her.
Ludolf listens to Triäsa and as she mentions her sister he places a compassionate hand on hers. "I can see that you miss her Triäsa, that is understandable, she seems to be a fine sister. Perhaps you should write her? I'm sure she would be interested to hear about your adventures until you meet again. In the meantime I hope you will find some comfort with us, your new Candelkeep family." He says with a wink and a warm smile.
It's late and the Three Kegs is completely empty save for the wart covered man at the counter. You all find a table in the corner and are brought a few bottles of wine.
After a night of violence in a corrupt city you all have managed to find joy and a moment of peace in each other's company. Ludolf's mind clears as he hears Triäsa's song the madness brought on by the book the first day of their journey melting away and he again sees the world clearly. As her song continues each of you feel your hearts swell, you confidence grows and you feel a kindling of power rise to the surface. Welcome to level 3!
As her song concludes the Old Toad comes back to your table, a tear in his eye. "Thank you for that. Keep your coin tonight your song was payment enough."He fills your glasses once more and heads back to the counter.
You can stay and enjoy each others company for as long as you like. Eventually retiring to your rooms for a long rest. You awaken with the sun shining brightly, optimistic and hopeful for the day to come.

"Bravo, Tri! Told ya, with your talent you could get anything you wanted from those in this tavern."
Daventry will be the last one to retire, as the night goes on and the bottles empty. She has one final drink, looking out the window at what she can see of the night sky.
After slipping into her shared room, Daventry changes into her nightclothes, the runic brand across her shoulder fully visible for the first time in a while. She spends some time tracing the brand with her fingers, the constellation softly glowing in the dark, before laying down to sleep.
Pardot uses his last spell slot to create some berries for the morrow enjoys the show after the stressful day with the jackals. He's finding himself more and more comfortable with this group of people as well as the traveling and new sights and sounds. Though the big city itself still isn't his style too much. He goes up to retire near the end of the night as well, just taking in the atmosphere of all the people around, and is still one of the earlier to be down the next morning digging into breakfast.
Triäsa gives Ludolf a long look as he comforts her about her sister and mentions the 'Candlekeep family'. "Yes, we do have a kind of family here. Some stranger than others," she adds with a grin. 'Tri' smiles even more at Daventry's comment. And profusely thanks the Old Toad for his generosity. She even decides to have yet one more ale, which she finishes up as the evening winds down.
She slips into the room she shares with Daventry, taking note of the woman tracing the constellation. She tries not to stare or even really look - not too much. But she is still curious about it. She then flops down on her bed, still dressed, lying on her back. After a bit of silence, she says softly, "Does that constellation thing hurt you? Or bother you? Or worry you? Because I'd be worried. I mean, after the experience Ludolf and I had with your tome." Her voice is rather quiet, as though she doesn't wish to disturb. She continues, "Speaking of Ludolf, does he seem to be acting differently lately? Have you noticed? What do you think of him? I think he's..." She pauses a moment, taking a deep breath and letting out a long sigh, "Nevermind. I am rambling. Probably too much ale. I will let you sleep."
She then grows quiet, rapidly falling asleep. If Daventry responds, she doesn't hear it.
At some point after falling asleep exhausted, Triäsa suddenly awakens. "Where are you? How can I help you!?" she calls out loudly. She sits at the edge of her bed in a cold sweat, looking around, trying to get her bearings.
Triäsa looks at Daventry, still shaken, "I heard my mother! Calling for help..." She continues to look about the room, as if her mother might be nearby. There is a pause as she seems to collect herself and she calms down marginally. "I could see her face so clearly."
Only now does she really seem to look over at Daventry, "Are you ok?"
"Yes, that Daventry is a bit strange isn't she." Ludolf answers, but you can see he has some measure of self-awareness. Ludolf has a good time with the others and eventually escorts Triäsa to her and Daventry's room. Back in his own room he lays awake for quite a while on his bed, going over recent events, his mind ever returning to the music that has filled his life with a desire to live again. He sleeps well and joins the others for breakfast, ready to visit Sorcerous Sundries and to purchase a riding horse before returning home to Candlekeep.
Daventry sits up in her bed, pulling her legs close in and holding her knees in her arms, back against the wall. "Me? Dunno, to be honest. Bad dream... if it were even really that." She moves her pack to the floor from where it rested on her bed, and Triäsa's keen darksight can easily see the shape of the new mark just below Daventry's left collarbone: a shooting star, streaking towards her heart. "Bad dreams are a bit contagious right now... I'm sure your mother's fine, Tri. Probably just your sleepin' mind tellin' ya that you miss her."
Triäsa slowly shakes her head, "No, my mother died years ago, never made sense to me..." She looks at Daventry, "You're right though, probably just missing her and had a dream. It just seemed so real!" She takes a deep breath. "But you said dreams are contagious... what was yours about? Anything to do with the new mark there now?"
"Oh, I'm sorry! The way you spoke of her... I don't know if you mentioned she'd passed." Daventry glances down, eyebrow furrowed, perhaps noticing it in detail for the first time herself. "I was flying. Sailing a place very far away, well above the skies of Faerun. At first it seemed a wonder, but then it turned from flight to a plummet, and I was sure I'd die. In my drop I saw Candlekeep, but it was strange... wrong, somehow. Covered in some sort of corruption. Then, when I thought I'd impact the very cobbles of Baldur's Gate, I found myself and awoke again." She closes her eyes, a tremor in her voice as she recounts her dream, before opening them again. "As for this... I don't know if or how it's connected. But... if it's like last time..." Daventry holds out a hand, and focuses a moment, breathing deep, eyebrows furrowed. A brilliant dollop of starlight forms in her hands, bright blue in color. "Seems I might have a new trick or two, once I have time to figure them out."
"To be honest, it was more than 10 years ago now, so I probably do not mention my mother being gone much. But she is a big reason behind my research. It was her area of focus, and I guess I hope I will figure something about her." Triäsa says in response.
She listens as Daventry recounts her dream and then watches as she tries to ascertain new abilities. "It seems like you are ok, but that was kind of startling dream." She stands, but stays beside her own bed. "If there is anything I can do to help you know you only have to ask Daventry."
Daventry nods. "Thanks, Triäsa. It's good to have someone I can at least share this with, instead of bottlin' it up 'til it's likely to pop."She sighs. "We should get to what sleep we can. Long day back on the road tomorrow, likely." She settles back under the blanket.
The next morning, Daventry looks a bit more tired than expected, though whether it's a lingering hangover or something else the group can't quite tell. She does chow down on breakfast, which improves her mood and energy level quickly.
"Right," she leads off, in between bites of a breakfast sausage. "First, let's ask around the Watch and the Fist. Rough as they may seem, they're still the lawbringers here, and perhaps there's a chance that we can claim a bounty on the weres. Then, to the Sorcerous Sundries down in the Lower City. There's a few other shops on the way, which we can likely pawn off the sword and bow for a bit of coin, and buy any other supplies we need. Weapons, bolts, whichever. Then to the stables. Seem like a plan?"
