Daventry stares at her shadow. "Bad shade! You'll not make another escape, or so help me I'll surround myself with light so you're naught more than a pinhead!"
To pontificate her point, she blasts her shadow with one more starbeam.
Looking to the others. "Right, everyone alive? Klin, you're looking a bit wrinkled. You feel ok?" She offers her waterskin (the one with actual water in it, not the other one) to the monk.
"Right, guy behind the door! We are quite sane, even if the world's not, and would like to have a conversation with you if you please!"
"Undead, here?" Ludolf mutters as the last shadow disappears. "Are you alright Triäsa?" He says, quickly walking back to the half-elven bard, while glancing ahead at the door at the end of the corridor.
"I am fine, Ludolf." Triäsa responds. Her eyes, which had changed to a golden color when she cast the spell to attack, have reverted to their usual dark brown. "It is rather strange to have these shadow creatures here. Do you suppose they could be connected to all this somehow?"
Klin moans. "Always me who gets hurt. Can't Pardot or somebody take a turn? The disadvantages of being a melee fighter, right Daventry?"
Looking back Pardot says with a grin, pulling a berry from his pouch to hand to his friend, "You should carry a shield like me. They're quite nice to hide behind."
The voice calls back from the other side of the door, "You promise you aren't insane? That lot upstairs is really starting to lose it... I don't even give them utensils with meals anymore... Too many people trying to either cut their tongues or the ears out." There is a moment of silence from the door before the gruff voice returns, "Prove it. Prove you are not insane."
As the voice makes it's request you all feel the words to the song creeping into your minds. It's irresistible macabre melody taunts you.
DC 12 Concentration check for everyone or you start singing!

((I think less than an hour has passed so Pardot's Enhance Ability is still on? If not, use only the first roll please))
Looking around and feeling the song start to creep into his head Pardot takes a deep breath, relying on the strength of his spell to help him push it back down. ((con check - 21))
Daventry breaks into the rhyme as the rest of you are able to hold it together at least for the moment. From the barred door the voice calls back, "I hear that cursed rhyme! That is not the song that sane people sing! Now get away from here. I'll bring dinner up when Crinkle has it prepared! And clean up any mess you made in the hall on your way out. I don't need to be tripping with the food when I come around. As you can tell the light is not real good out there" The irritation in the man's voice is palpable.

Triäsa quickly steps forward, motioning Daventry to back away. "I'm here and I'm not singing." she calls through the door. "Just the one person. The rest of us are fine." She at least hopes that holds true long enough.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ludolf stays close to Triäsa. "Yes, don't mind our shieldmaiden, we are sent here to deal with this most annoying affliction, but we need your cooperation if this madness is to stop." He says pleadingly.
Persuasion if needed, with effective help from Triäsa I would expect: 23
"You seem genuine... but there is always at least one with a silver tongue in groups like yours...."You here some rustling and the opening of locks and the door creaks open just a bit. You can see into the room and it appears to a kitchen. There is a dirty skillet standing out among an otherwise immaculate kitchen, and the smell of bacon in the air hints at the skillet’s former contents. A door in the southeast corner hangs open a crack. The man barring your way has black hair with streaks of grey. You would guess his is in his mid to late 40's. In the back of the room is a small girl, about 8 years old. She is sitting of the floor with a quill and parchment drawing. "I guess we are all going to die down here anyways might as well let you in though not sure what business you have down here. Names Ebder Smallstone, little girl is Gailby my daughter. You just stay clear of her."
Daventry go ahead and try another con save to stop singing.
