Ludolf nods politely at the sisters as they are introduced. He is a bit intrigued by this mission they want to send them on but suspects the sisters are not telling them the whole truth. Insight: 8 "Interesting, one wonders how this creature found it's way into the shrine."Ludolf says with a polite smile. "Could you please describe this creature a bit further, it would be helpful if we knew as much as possible about what we would be dealing with before we...face it."
Pardot you try to communicate with the dog but it just stares at you, cocks his head to the side and drools on the floor. There are no thoughts or sounds from the hound. Sister Greenleaf places a hand on his head as you, "Morty is a good ol' boy but none to bright. He does not seem communicate like his more common brothers and sisters."
"The creature is the perfect enemy of beauty. A women in figure but with an ugly and horrid face. She has no hair like you or I but rather vile serpents crawl on top of her naked scalp. They lash out in anger to any who are more fair than she. A sword and a bow she carries but it is her eyes where the dangers lies for one gaze will turn you to stone. If you are agreeable We will escort you there now, for we alone have the ability to drop the ward that shrouds the shrine." Morgan explains in a calm, soothing voice.
To Ludolf the sisters appear to be telling the truth regarding the creature if there is more to their tale you could not say.

"If we are to fight this obviously very dangerous creature we would need some time to prepare. We would likely be ready later this afternoon though. Can we come here and get you when we are ready?" Ludolf says with a firm voice, not giving any room for argument.
(Would Ludolf recognize this creature as a medusa? Arcana if aplicable: 7 )
(I think yes you would recognize it as a Medusa, then sisters are not hiding the fact and they have told you all of its abilities.)
"That is fine, it is not going anywhere. We have seen to that. Come back when you are ready. Bring your friend and we can start to evaluate her as well."

Ludolf bows slightly and is ready to leave again as soon as the others are, thinking there should be lots of mirrors to borrow in a place like this.
When leaving the audience hall and as soon as he is not observed by the suspicious sisters or any of their minions Ludolf would use his eldritch magic to enhance his mind to be able to scan surface thoughts, then quickly stepping back inside the reception chamber again saying. "Oh, I forgot to ask, we heard of your predecessor Sylvarie, would you know of her whereabouts?" He then scans the surface thoughts of each of sisters in quick succession, suspecting they will know where she is.
"Sylvarie? A name we have not heard in many years." Morgan states simply. Sister Greenleaf picks up where Morgan left, "She left the Temple ten years ago. We have not seen her since." Azirssa concludes,"She is likely wandering the land spreading the love and beauty of Sune to all. Just as she did here."
Probing their thoughts you find they think only of the medusa.

Triäsa looks around at Ludolf, Daventry, and Pardot. "I suppose we at least need to give this a try." She then addresses the three Sisters. "Am I to presume that once you allow us past the barrier, you will simply put it back in place behind us? I think there should be a way for us to signal for a retreat. After all, if things are going poorly, a retreat and a chance to assess what we learned may be what it takes to finally resolve this problem for you."
"My, my clever and beutiful. You are correct we will seal the shrine after you enter and it is only fair we give you a way to get out." Morgan stands and walks over to Seth. She leans in and kisses him on the cheek while undoing the clasp of the black leather necklace with the deep blue crystal on it. She then walks over to Triäsa and places it around your neck. "We use this to communicate with Seth. Just speak my name and I shall hear your pleas."

Pardot is clearly confused, and disappointed that Morty doesn't reply. This is the first time he'd not been able to communicate with an animal. Instead he takes a breath and focuses on the sisters after Ludolf asks of Sylvarie. ((insight 17))
Examining this necklace briefly, Triäsa cannot help but accept after Morgan agreed so readily with her request. Though it was not without a bit of skepticism, she keeps that thought to herself for the moment. "Thank you. Just to be sure, I just need to say 'Morgan' and then you will hear? How does it stop?"
Ludolf takes a step closer to Triäsa, giving her a quick glance, briefly entering her mind. "Don't put the necklace on yet Tri, let's examine it first."
Pardot -- There are two possibilities. Either Morty has suffered some horrible brain injury and is, in fact, the dumbest dog in the world or he is not an animal at all. Listening to the Sisters you can't help but feel that they are not telling you something. You don't think they are lying perse but certainly there is more to all of this.
Morgan responds, "Yes just say any of our names, we will hear you. Just ask us and we will provide you with a way out. We use these to communicate with Seth when he is out doing the day to day of the Temple. It is very handy." She smiles and closes the necklace around your neck as Ludolf's words reach your mind.

Daventry looks closely at Triasa as the elf clasps the necklace around her. She attempts to get a read on the sisters, as in her gut she knows this place has something wrong below the polished surface.
Arcana: (any change to Tri as the necklace is clasped?) 11
Insight: (she doesn't trust the Sisters and looks for further evidence if they are obfuscating the truth of this creature) 10
The necklace does not change and there are no obvious affects of the necklace closing. Triäsa does not seem to be suffering any effects from the necklace. You would certainly know their are countless magic items that can hold spells or enchantments that would do exactly what the Sisters claim. Just off pure knowledge I don't think you be able to know more.
Off your insight you have no reason to doubt the Sisters though there is a sinking suspicion you are not getting the whole story.

"Well, I thank you for granting my request. Now I think my companions and I should take some time to prepare and plan," Triäsa explains to the elves. "Perhaps we meet again in an hour and you can take us to this place?" She then looks at the others. "An hour is sufficient?"
"Hrm, we might need a bit more time than that, we will contact you via the necklace you so kindly given us as soon as we are ready to face the dreadful creature that defiles your shrine." Ludolf says, ready to head back to Fistandia's room, well after asking the sisters about Sylvaire that is.
"Oh, and just one more thing..." Ludolf says just after being answered regarding the whereabouts of Sylvarie. "...we were told you have a gallery of paintings here somewhere. We would be very interseted to see them if you could tell us where to find them."He then scans the surface thoughts of each of sisters again in quick succession, hoping this will reveal the location of the paintings.
"It seems you are well educated on our work. Our magic works through the paintings, it is how we preform our miracles. Our gallery is here, in the tower on the top level. We would take you but it seems there was an accident earlier.A bird got into the tower and our custodian was not able to get it out. It trip our wards and created quite the mess. Our custodian was quite frail, he suffered a tragic fall down the stairs in the shock. He did not survive." The sister's speak in turn as they explain the paintings.
Morgan -- And now I have to replace the wards... I'll do it tomorrow today has been rather tiresome.
Azirssa -- Blasted dragonborn. He wasn't good for anything anyways too weak and slow to be much use. Burned in acid... serves him right
Greensong -- I can't wait to show you all our work. It should be tremendous fun!
