Following Cathbad's suggestion you all head straight down the hallway. You pass a wood door on the left, another on the right. There's then a third door on the left and finally a fourth door to the right before reaching the end of the corridor which is a set of double heavy stone doors that look to push open inward to the next room. The breeze and fresh air is unmistakably coming from the other side of this door. There is a gentle sound of chanting on the other side.

"It seems we'll have the opportunity to disrupt their abominable ritual on our way out of here, maybe we should check on the doors we passed to see if we can pick more members of your team as we may have to fight our way out." Ludolf says quietly.
"More members?!"Dandelion says a bit too loudly "I don't know your priorities are here but getting you four out alive is all that matters. The rest of this cave can sink into the abyss but so long as you all live this world has a chance. I don't know what Bastet sees in you all but she was very clear on that point. Your lives are the only ones that matter in the entire waking world. If out is through this door then out we go. I have been very patient so far!"
Your companions shoot glances at each other before Cathbad speaks up, "So you would doom our friends to these creatures? I don't know much about talking cats and the like but I know our companions are good people with skills and talents and families. Maybe your freedom is through those doors but if our friends are here we should find them."
Maxx says simply, "None are left. They are dead. There is no use looking."
"We owe these people our lives Cathbad."Says Gunnar a surprisingly calm tone. "We'll follow them with whatever they decide. Damn the consequences."
Shorty nods.

"It might be worth checking quickly. I am not sure walking into whatever chanting is beyond those doors is our best option." Triäsa glances at Dandelion, giving a cat a quick look. "I understand your mission. But we cannot just ignore our new companions here. Again, we should move quickly though whatever we do."
Having said her opinion, she then steps near to Pardot. When she has a chance to get a bit away from the others she whispers to him.
"Are you sure you are doing alright? Any idea what happened? I can dispel magic, simple healing, but I am no real healer."
Daventry sighs. "I don't know what the best call is... but if we can disrupt their ritual, maybe cut the head off the snake, the rest of the beast will wither and we can go back and find your friends. But if they've started something now... then we don't have time to do otherwise... we take a look, and either sneak or fight the rest of the way out."
She quietly opens up one of the double doors, attempting to peer through.
The heavy stone door slides open easily and the sight before you all is an odd one. The door opens up into a large amphitheater room in the shape of a snake's mouth. You see the green Wilderness of freedom just beyond the stalactite-like fangs of the stone serpent’s open mouth, but between you and freedom stands a number of serpentfolk and two creatures that you have never seen before. They are watching Gehir, who is standing on a raised platform of the stone serpent’s tongue, chanting some vile ritual. Each of his snake heads contributing words separately. He holds his ornate golden dagger raised above the bound forms of three unfortunate souls, a kobold, a human and a dwarf. As you watch Gehir lifts the bound dwarf off the ground with one hand and cuts his throat. As blood pours from his neck and onto the floor Gehir devours dwarfs head and discards the body to the floor of the temple below him. You watch the body fall with horror and realize the headless corpses of countless victims litter the ground below Gehir.
With this sacrifice a swirl of unstable magic opens on the serpent's tongue facing Gehir a gasp of joy is heard from the on looking serpentfolk who drop to their knees in a deep bow. From this newly opened, unstable portal a creature the likes of which you have never seen begins to emerge. This creature possesses a medusa-like thicket of snakes sprouting from its forebody where its head should be. A massive serpentine trunk waves ominously above the thicket and ends in a single enormous eye.
The Creature Emerges:
You can tell the ritual is not complete, the magic of portal is not big or strong enough for the entire creature to emerge but it's only a matter of time.
Dandelion slides between Daventry's legs to get a sight of the room, the hair on their back stand on end and panic fills her voice, "We've wasted too much time but this shouldn't be possible! They have called the Old Enemy... Yig.... one of The Elder Gods.... He is here. If I hurry I can close the portal... but you must run! Besides, you can't beat Gehir let alone The Father of Snakes."They then look to the four of you, "You must go to the Dreamlands, find Kadath.... perhaps find Bastet on the Moon..." With that they bound off into the room, unnoticed.
Map:
None of the snakes have noticed you all as they are too absorbed in their ritual and the appearance of their God. You have a moment if you'd like to strategize and then we'll enter initiative.
A couple notes on the map. There is a small lip from I1-M1 that you can crawl over to get out of the cavern. The tongue platform where Gehir is standing is 30 feet above the level you are on.

The girl-turned-pirate-turned-warrior blanches at the sight of the creature, her mind wracked with pain.
Sanity: 55 on the roll, fails, down to 27 so how we doing?
Daventry grimaces visibly. "There are too many to fight straight-up. We need to get out of here, regroup, figure out a plan." She takes out a rope and grappling hook from Thavol's bag, eyeing the open snake mouth. "We get this hooked on one of those teeth, rappel down and get back to the ship..."
She looks at the others. "On the edge. Stay quiet... I have a feeling Dandelion is going to kick something off in a moment. Pardot, when it does, fill the room with fog and buy us some cover. Keep the edge clear so we can get out. Tri..." she looks at her bard friend. "Be ready to misty step. If all else fails, at least one of us must get word out. Ludolf, do what you can to make sure that you and Tri make it."
She looks at Gunnar. "You and I are the line of defense. Get everyone out, and we're the last down." To the rest, she gives a nod, eyeing Maxx. "We've fought this hard to live. Keep it that way. Let's get out of this pit."
Stealth: 27

Your footfalls drop silently on the hard stone floor of the serpents mouth as you each gently creep toward freedom. Gunnar nods at Daventry as he clings to his weapon, the others follow though reluctantly.
Logistically you would not be able to sneak along the wall. The Mailsons are basically against the wall and you would not be able to pass there. Your only real path would be under the snakes tongue (which is 30 feet up) and then perhaps you could sneak past the priest and whatever those other two abominations are at the north end but you'll be walking right past them so it won't be easy.
If you all are going to use the surprise round to dash with stealth you all could get to just in front of the Anchorites and the Priest in the back. Everyone can roll stealth and we'll see what happens!

Smoke and fog fills the snake's mouth and pours out of it's gaping stone maw. The lizardfolk seem uncomfortable but assume the magic is part of Gehir's ritual as their God continues to emerge from the portal. Dashing forward and misty stepping toward freedom Ludolf and Triäsa see the path to freedom before them. The descent down from the mouth is not difficulty as crude steps are carved into the rugged stone leading down 20 feet to the forest floor.
The hope of freedom is tempered by the half human, half abomination you find yourselves between. These aberrations with spider or scorpion like creatures tilt their hunched heads in your direction tasting the air with the foul appendages.
Perception: 18 (this will be the roll for all of them and will set the group DC)
As you charge forward Gehir continues his ritual as he cuts the throat of mustaschio'ed human and devours his head. The portal continues to grow and Yig slides further into this reality.
Fortunately Dandelion is able to make excellent progress as they easily scales the rough rock wall and lands on the stone snake tongue. Gehir, absorbed in his ritual does not notice the cat or the fog but continues chanting as he drops the man's body to the floor and he reaches for the kobold.
