‘Books should not be alive like this.’Pardot thinks to himself as he readies and fires off another glowing stone towards the bookshelf.

Triäsa takes just a slight step back from the bookcase as it comes to life. As she moves, she draws her sword and dagger. She tries to make a whick attack against the moving objects.
Ludolf deftly disengages and ducks away from a the animated bookcase. He retreats back toward the planetarium and out of harms way. With a crackle of power Daventry's sword firmly strikes one of the chains holding a book causing it wheel back in surprise.
Klin surprised by the speed of the chains swings wide with his sword but is able to recover as he punches one of the metal bound books with such power that it travels backwards into the wooden shelf causing even more damage. Triäsa's sword is able to weave through the chains as she hacks into the desk but the enemy is able to recover in time to deflect her dagger harmlessly away.
The construct then wheel's back, the wood bending and groaning in an unnatural way. As it heaves forward two of the books on chains strike out at Daventry and Triäsa.
@Daventry Attack 1 10 Damage 1 5
@Triäsa Attack 2 22 Damage 2 9
You all see Triäsa crumble to the ground underweight of the book and chain.
(Will add Pardot in when he is able to fix his rolls his actions would not have changed anything up to this point)
"NOOO!" Seeing young Triäsa fall under the onslaught of the nightmarish bookcase, Ludolf furiously blasts it with grey eldritch force. Eldritch blast: 11 Force: 4 Necrotic: 4 He then instinctively throws himself between the flailing chained books and the helpless Triäsa.

"Dammit old man, get back where you can be useful and let the lady with the shield do her job!" Daventry shouts at Ludolf as she drops her blade to the ground, the sword clattering on the stonework. With one hand she pulls out a vial from her pouch, thumbing off the cap. She moves over Triasa, raising her shield to deflect a flying chained book, and kneels down to stick the bottle in the bard's mouth and upend the solution.
Action: Healing Potion 7
She pulls the bottle out and it also bounces to the floor, the glass making a ting ting sound. Arcane energy ripples up her arm as she braces for the next attack, as she tries to interpose herself between Ludolf and the bookcase.
Triäsa starts to recover after Daventry administers the healing potion. She's still a bit dazed as Ludolf is being pushed back and the woman hovers over her with her shield. For the moment she stays on the ground and tries to get her bearings.

Seeing his companion drop to the ground, Pardot begins to pull a berry from his pocket, but then changes to a stone as she awakens after having the potion poured into her mouth.

The library stands over all of you menacingly and Ludolf's blast goes wide hitting the dark stone walls harmlessly. Pardot's magic stone crashes into the side of the shelving causing wood chips to splinters and fall to the ground. Klin heroically continues to advance into chaos of chains and books His sword strikes one of the chains sending sparks in all direction unfortunately his punch finds nothing but air as the construct is too quick and is able to avoid the blow.
The library again leans back lifting two of it's heavy chains high and bring both of them down on top of Daventry in attempt to flatten the warrior like the pages inside of one it's heavy tomes.
Distracted by trying to get Ludolf clear, Daventry does not get her round shield up in time. She releases the pent up arcane energy coursing through her arm, casting Shield.
(The second hit will get through, but to be fair I wouldn't know it would hit the second or roll crap for damage were this at a table)
The library was initially surrounded by a bright arcane glow that has faded significantly the wood has accumulated a number of chips and scratches. The construct is substantially less vigorous that when you started but appears to have a good bit of fight left in it.
As you raise your shield up to deflect the first blow, perhaps it's panic perhaps it's instinct, your fingers of your sword hand move gracefully, something you have never done before. Your sword flashes a brilliant purple as it dematerializes from your hand sending a wave of energy out from it deflecting the book away from you. You feel a sudden sharp pain in your tattoo as this occurs. This pain is followed quickly a sharp slap of a metal coated book smacking you on the side of the face.
As the purple wave dissipates you see the form of your sword reappear... stuck point down in the top of the library... It will take a bit of effort to climb to the top of it and pull it out. (DC 10 athletics or acrobatics check if you want to get it, it would be your action for action for the turn, will not provoke an opportunity attack so long as you don't roll another 1...)
