Triäsa is about to look for some parchment to write down the information herself when she sees Pardot copying it. "Did you get the translation also? This might make for the start of a fascinating book for Candlekeep," she says.
When finished she stands, taking the silver key. "Now, where did Daventry get to?"
Daventry glances outside. She decides to go give Seth's corpse a pat-down while they're still downstairs.
Investigation: 3 (nat 1), 6 if advantage, plus 2 guidance, and I'm not rolling investigations the rest of the area.

You walk outside to the courtyard and a small crowd has gathered at the scene of your Seth battle. About 5 couples are standing about Seth's body, they all look very pale.
Well not everyone. Seth has lots of color, red in fact. He also has a tail, wings, and very sharp looking teeth and claws. He looks very much like a devil and not very much like a Seth.
The servants bodies have also changed. Instead of skin they have a covering of burlap. From thier wounds pertrudes not blood or ichor like Seth but straw. It seems they are nothing but scarecrows.
You look the body over but the crowd makes it hard to see anything more. You could get closer and try again but the crowd is starting to look at you and they look rather afraid... or maybe angry... you do look like we're just in a fight and killed a man or 6....

Ludolf gives Ilam an incredulous look as he walks away, then looking to Triäsa and Pardot. "We can't let the fool walk to his doom." He mutters. "He is a decent barber after all." He adds dryly and starts to follow Ilam, hoping to save the man from his own poor decisions. He also messages Edgar to make himself useful again by scanning the shrine for threats and possible ways inside. As he gets outside he motions for Daventry to follow too.
Alright so Daventry is outside with a gathering mob, Ludolf and Ilam are leaving the tower, Edgar scouting ahead. Klin will follow Ludolf unless you tell him to do something else. Triäsa and Pardot let me know what your plan is and I'll post accordingly.

Daventry sees the crowd gathering around the corpses after her quick glance and quickly turns and goes back into the tower, not wanting to face the crowd. This will put her into direct opposition to Ilam as he tries to leave.
Assuming she caught some of the conversation, she looks angrily at Ilam. "Are you out of your Oghma-forsaken mind? You break into that shrine alone, you're not only likely to be turned into a statue, you'll leave the path open for her to run amok. Perhaps you won't care because you'll be godsdamned stone, but so will everyone else in this shrine, because you couldn't wait to keep your pants on? Can your soul bear murdering every innocent here? Cause that's what you mean to do."

"It's not just your life you're throwing away. But **** it, right? Can't wait an hour to do things right."
Daventry pushes her way inside.
(Rolled twice hoping advantage could apply somehow, but honestly can't think of a way that makes sense, so my first roll was the 4, though someone else can follow up on their own)
Quickly following Ilam, for now, Ludolf tries to talk to the stubborn elven barber again. "So, assuming you find away inside the shrine and find the medusa that is Sylvarie, then what are you going to do?" He asks with all the calm and politeness he can muster.
"You help Triäsa and Pardot figure out how to destroy those paintings Daventry, particularly the one portraying Sylvarie, I'll be right back, I think." He calls back.
As Klin passes, Daventry eyes him. "Klin, keep those damnable fools alive. And if Ilam tries to open the shrine alone before we solve this, knock some sense into him."
Triäsa, not fully understanding what's happening, watches as Ilam trakes off, then Ludolf and Klin follow. She seems almost to follow, but hesitantly stays. "What do you suppose Ilam is doing? What is so urgent?"
She then turns back to the task at hand. "Anything else to look at here Dav?" she looks around the to see if there is anything here, then at Daventry. She starts to make a motion with her hands, then chants.'Mess and gore, unsightly seen, dress and more, now nicely clean.'
With that she casts Prestidigitation, causing Daventry's clothes to be cleaned.
"Now, should we head upstairs and try to find the other portraits? Let's take the others with us." She prepares to go up the stairs. "Then upstairsto see what we can find there?" She pauses, waiting to see if Daventry and Pardot agree.

Daventry looks to Triäsa with frustration, though she calms as the bard cleans her up quickly. "Damn fools are rushing off to their own doom. I think Ilam isn't thinking with the head on his shoulders, either it's his heart or something else. Hopefully Ludolf and Klin can keep him from doing something truly stupid, like try and face a medusa by himself."
She closes her eyes, imagining the world as if it were top down, and points to the room to the northeast. "Let's try that. Pardot, did you see any traps? Let's see if we can crack this open."
She will use the mage hand to attempt to open the door, assuming no traps. If Pardot sees something off, or the door is locked, she will try to disable the traps and try the key Triäsa found.

Ilam, who has been very jovial to this point gets outright angry with Daventry and makes no effort to hide it, "Perhaps where you come from a man and women can only exist in a sexual relationship. Sylvarie and I have a friendship that goes beyond lust or love. Go search your tower, I'll go save my friend."
He looks as if he might hit you but decides better of it. He takes a deep breath and turns to Ludolf. "I'll talk to her that's what I will do. If Sylvarie is still in there, and I know she, is then I'll be fine. If she's gone and all that remains is a monster then I'll be happy to be frozen in stone till she comes to her sense." He gives a half smile and continues his march to the shrine. Klin lags behind the others as they leave, he gives a solemn nod to Daventry and pats his book, "I'll come running right back if there's trouble. I am very fast."
Pardot does not find anything else here in the main room. The door to the northeast is indeed locked but Daventry is able pick the lock after a few moments. This appears to be an ornate and very comfortable bedroom. This luxurious room has a large bed covered with rich silk sheets. A wardrobe and a dresser with a mirror stand against the walls. The dresser has clothing which Pardot quickly recognizes as Seth's bathrobes and sandals. They are all very well made in a variety of light blues and reds with gold stitching. Pardot searches further and finds a false bottom to the wardrobe. Popping it open is a suit of scale mail, uniquely customized for a tail as well as a pair of ornate short swords. They have black blades and deep etchings of infernal glyphs. They appear to be rather expensive.
Triäsa we'll say your comprehend languages is still up. The glyphs are various symbols of courage, bravery and battle. Perhaps this was Seth equivalent of a kanji tattoo.

You catch back up with Ilam who is walking with purpose and determination. Edgar relays the scene of the dead Seth and scarecrows and the gathering crowd. The crowd pays you little attention and you pass by without incident.
While you have heard about the shrine you have not actually seen it. It's about what you expected though. A crumbling stone building but it must once have been very beautiful. Engraved images of Sune are still visible on the moss-covered stones, her face gazing down on the path by which the faithful would have approached. Stone doors at the front of the shrineare closed but there is no sign of anything sealing them. A small puddle lies at the base of the door. Some sort of thick resin.
Above the door a faint inscription is still visible: “Welcome, dearest ones. Come find the beauty within you.”
When Ilam sees the puddle his grin returns he looks at you and almost in glee says, "It's broken, the seal is gone! Come, come! Sylvarie awaits!" He pushes the door and it swings open freely. Klin shoots you a quick glance and lays a hand on his book whip thing.
